Character Description
Charlotte is a friendly, cheerful, slightly chubby girl who is twelve years old. She loves sunny afternoons, water, books, silly jokes, and clothes that feel light enough to spin or skip in. Around unfamiliar people she can be quiet, polite, and self-conscious, but once she feels safe she becomes bright, bubbly, and very expressive. She laughs easily, sometimes before she has reached the end of a joke, and tends to turn small everyday moments into stories worth remembering.

She has a small, affectionate circle of friends and is often one of its gentle social centers: the person who notices when someone is sitting alone, grows quiet, or seems left out. She is valued not only because she is kind, but because she is genuinely fun to be around. She's an enthusiastic reader, a generous audience for jokes, and a cheerful contributor to games, craft projects, and shared adventures. Charlotte is beginning to experience small, early crush-like feelings, mostly as warmth, shyness, curiosity, and the wish to feel special to someone she trusts.
Personality
Charlotte is good-natured, sincere, and emotionally observant. She tries hard not to hurt people, dislikes mean-spirited teasing, and is terrible at pretending to like something she does not. Her first instinct when someone seems upset is to offer a harmless joke, snack, question, or place beside her. She is shy with new people but highly bubbly with trusted friends.

When nervous, her little tail curls tighter. When trying to be brave, she may gently wind the curl around one finger. If she worries that she said something foolish, she smooths her skirt or top and checks people’s faces for reassurance. She is quietly proud that she has built real friendships despite her shyness, and of the confidence swimming gives her. Charlotte rarely gets openly angry, but cruelty or unfairness can make her startlingly firm. She speaks up without becoming insulting, then often needs quiet, tears, and reassurance after the adrenaline fades.
Likes/Dislikes
Likes:
Sunny afternoons, swimming in pools, lakes, and water parks, loose summery clothes in light colors as well as ribbons and ruffles.
Lemonade, strawberries, watermelon, sweet tea, and warm pastries.
Libraries, beanbags, window seats, the smell of old books.
Adventure stories with happy endings, bad puns, dramatic funny stories, charades, guessing games, and cooperative games.
Writing jokes and tiny story ideas in her notebook, small decorations, and friendship tokens.

At school she especially enjoys literature, language-focused lessons, art, and swimming. She can enjoy hands-on biology or vivid history, but dislikes maths and the formula-heavy parts of physics.

Dislikes:
Being rushed; bitter food, wet sleeves, jokes that embarrass people, being told she is “too sensitive”, public situations where she feels she has failed or cannot keep up.
Background/History
Charlotte was born and raised in the same place where she goes to school now. Her parents have been together throughout her life, and her childhood has been steady, affectionate, and ordinary in the best sense: family routines, neighborhood familiarity, school friends, books, crafts, and small adventures rather than dramatic upheaval.

Her mother’s stationery-and-craft work made paper, pens, cards, and little creative projects feel familiar from early on. Her father’s bad puns and silly stories helped teach her that laughter can make people feel happy and belonging. Around age nine or ten, Charlotte began keeping small notebooks filled with jokes, funny things people said, everyday anecdotes, and her own story ideas. When one fills up, she saves it at home and starts another.

She started swimming young and gradually discovered that water made her feel light, relaxed, and capable. She is not an especially competitive swimmer, but she loves the calm, playful freedom of it. Over time, she built her current friend group through school, books, swimming, jokes, and shared activities. A brief experience of body-related teasing made her doubt some favorite summer outfits, but supportive friends helped her regain confidence in wearing what makes her happy, despite her chubbiness.
Relatives/Family
Charlotte is an only child who lives with her mother and father in a warm, close-knit household. Her mother is practical, gentle, and quietly firm about boundaries. She works with stationery and craft supplies and encourages both usefulness and creativity. Her father works in local public service, helping people with paperwork and practical questions. At home he is playful, expressive, and a dedicated source of terrible puns, though he becomes serious and protective when someone needs help.

The family shares chores, takes relaxing baths together and watches favorite shows and quiz programs. The family has a calm, body-positive, privacy-respecting home culture. Charlotte sometimes helps at her mother’s shop after school or sits there writing in her notebook. Extended relatives live a few hours away and gather for larger holidays. Her parents also get along well with most neighbors and the families of Charlotte’s friends.
Body
Charlotte is around average height for a twelve-year-old girl. She has soft pink skin, bright blue eyes, long golden-blonde wavy hair, large pig ears, a small snout, and a short curled-up tail. When uncurled, her tail is about twice a finger-length. She has cloven hooves with two segments on each foot.

She is slightly chubby, with most of her softness visible in a gently forward-rounded belly. In skirts or shorts with a close waistband, it may rest lightly over the hem. Dresses conceal it more. Her legs are sturdy rather than heavy, and softer fullness appears elsewhere without being as prominent. Her belly button is subtly stretched horizontally by her body shape.

Charlotte has small dark freckle-like dots across her face, shoulders, shoulder blades, and upper butt cheks, plus two darker birthmarks on her right buttcheek usually covered by clothing. These markings are expected to remain, even if the freckles look less dense as she grows. She usually wears her hair loose, but sometimes experiments with hairbands, pigtails, or other cute styles.
Clothing
Charlotte loves loose, floaty clothes that move pleasantly in a breeze and make her feel free to skip, spin, or stretch out comfortably. She especially likes skirts, airy dresses, soft tops, frills, ruffles, bows and light summery colors such as blue, cream, pink, and yellow. Her everyday style favors cute, comfortable pieces rather than restrictive or formal clothes.

She also likes belly-free tops, even though she is slightly chubby. Mean comments once made her briefly self-conscious, but encouragement from friends helped her reclaim her confidence. She is now quietly determined to wear what makes her feel cute and happy. In colder weather she prefers soft layers such as cardigans, hoodies, tights or leggings under skirts.
For swimming, she likes playful pastel swimwear with bows, ruffles, and softly flared or skirted bottoms.
Accessories
Charlotte usually carries a small notebook in which she writes down jokes she likes, funny things people say, little everyday stories, and her own story ideas. She keeps one or two nice pens with it, often chosen from her mother’s stationery-and-craft shop. She may carry hairbands in her bag for practical reasons.

This is the "clothed only" version of the refsheet. I, personally, think the "general" version is "only non-sexual implied-nudity enough for most spaces, but just in case.

[insert nervous monkey puppet meme here because of new character]

This is Charlotte, a character designed by MsMirabelle. She's cute, friendly, a bit shy and occasionally anxious, but a lovely girl. Also, she looks cute in dresses, as you see.

And we need more pigs, anyway!

I might set her up as one of Lukas' schoolmates story-wise, we shall see!
