In preparation for an upcoming adventure, Ecco's been training himself in just about every way that might be relevant. The aspect he's taking most seriously though is, of course, breath holding; there's been times in the past where that was quite the limiting factor. He's been pushing himself pretty hard, typically only surfacing once his lungs are burning, and trying to go even farther than that as well thanks to his willpower slowly improving too. Although, that's led to a bit of an incident today...
The dolphin's gone all out in his training this time, swimming as far along as he can on a single breath, even still being quite far underwater. Eventually, he's shaking from his need to breathe, with bubbles leaking from his blowhole as his lungs burn almost to the point that he can't handle it. Everything was blurring a little, parts of him going a bit numb, and as he rebreathed in his blue cheeks... His whole body jolted as the burn in his chest suddenly became far worse. Water had slipped past his blowhole, into his lungs. He grabbed his chest as he fought not to cough; if he did, he'd lose all that was left of his air, and he'd have no chance of surfacing from that depth! Forcing himself to move, he held his wet breath as well as he could while starting to rush for the surface. He just had to hold on a little bit longer...
