So this requires a slight amount of explanation. I kinda realized my favorite pokemon might just be Wooper, and feeling a desire to make a wooper OC I followed my normal naming conventions of adding Matt to the name and in this came up with Mattwooper. Realizing that Woopers speak with a sort of jersey-ish accent so that wooper sounds like "woopah" I then imagined saying 'Mattwooper' that way and it ended up sounding like 'Mah-twoopah' which really sounds like saying "My Trooper" with an accent which immediately clicked to a subspecies of Wooper born in wartime and evolved for trench warfare.
