Character Description

Swig is a rare Milyenatank—a hybrid born from the unlikely pairing of a Mightyena and a Miltank. While her bloodline makes her physically distinct from both species, she has spent nearly her entire life among the nomadic herds of Miltank and Tauros that endlessly roam the vast grasslands of the Deep Zone. To them, she isn't viewed as an oddity or outsider; she's simply another member of the herd. The older Miltank taught her where to find fresh grazing grounds, how to read the weather, and when it was time to move before predators or dwindling resources became a threat. The Tauros, in turn, taught her endurance, resilience, and the importance of protecting the herd no matter the cost.

Background/History

Growing up in such a tightly knit community shaped Swig into someone who values cooperation over individuality. Life on the move means every member has a purpose, whether it's keeping watch, caring for calves, scouting water sources, or defending the group when danger appears. Swig naturally falls into whichever role is needed without complaint. She never seeks praise for her efforts, believing everyone contributes because the herd survives only when everyone works together.

Despite these instincts, Swig has had surprisingly little contact with other Mightyena throughout her life. Encounters are rare, often lasting only a few moments as wandering packs cross paths with the migrating herd before disappearing back into the wilderness. During these brief meetings, she always feels an odd sense of familiarity, as though she's looking at people she somehow belongs with despite barely knowing them. She rarely speaks during these encounters, uncertain how to bridge the gap between the life she knows and the one she might have lived.

Although she'd never openly admit it, Swig finds Mightyena undeniably attractive. Their confidence, sharp features, coordinated pack dynamics, and commanding presence effortlessly catch her attention whenever they appear. She often catches herself staring longer than she intends before awkwardly looking away, embarrassed by feelings she doesn't fully understand. Since opportunities to meet them are so uncommon, these quiet crushes usually fade into daydreams as the herd continues its migration across the Deep Zone.

Swig is unaffected by the full moon.
