Jake and Victor have gotten good at evading security patrols, and avoiding surveillance cameras, but when somebody gets roughed up a bit much, their biometric monitor records an impact--and sets off the assault alarm.
In addition, the hallways are also equipped with a series of 'security gates' that can deploy suddenly in the event of an altercation. This one... appears to be a little slow.
