In a cozy cottage in a deep forest in England, a happy and magical family lives. Hazel, a female hare with blue fur, and powerful witch, prepares for a trip with her husband Frost, a male wolf with white fur In their few years of being mates, they had produced two offspring who now play with their toys in the living room. Watching over them was Emina, a vixen not of this world, but brought here using Hazel's magic. Her outfit was an unusual pink, red, and green body suit that seemed futuristic. A small, hand sewn plush rabbit suddenly floats up in front of her and she smiles, then looks down to see a small, four-year-old wolf hare hybrid girl wearing a long, pale yellow dress looking up at her with her small paws held out in front of her.

“Very good Snow!' said Emina, patting Hazel's daughter on the head.

“Thank you auntie!” said the well spoken child. White fur covered her body and seemed to shine in the sun light. Since she was a hybrid, she had a small cotton tail and ears of a hare, but the fangs and red eyes of a wolf.

“Look! Look!” came another small voice. A toy robot came flying up to them and next to the plush hare. Following it was a small, four-year-old male hybrid, but with soft blue fur, blue eyes, the long ears of a hare, and the tail of a wolf. “See? I can do it too!” He wore dark red shorts and a salmon colored t-shirt.

“Yes, good job Harry!” said Emina, ruffling his head fur. “You both are showing such promise with your magic.”

“I can make mine go higher!” Snow bragged. She wiggled her fingers and stuck her tongue out for extra concentration, making her plush hare go a tad higher.

“No fair!” shouted Harry.

“It's 'cause I'm older!” said Snow.

“Yeah, by three minutes!” said Harry. “That doesn't mean anything!” He stuck his tongue out at her and blew a raspberry.

“Now now Harry.” said Emina. “Don't be jealous of your sister. Practice with her and learn.”

“Yeah!” said Harry. “I can do better!” He wiggled his tiny fingers and wagged his tail as his beloved robot toy flew around and shot a toy missile at Snow's plush.

“Hey!” shouted Snow.

“Hehe, my toy is better.” said Harry. “It has big red wings and can shoot its hands off!”

“Yeah, but then ya have to go get em.” said Snow.

“I can do it with magic though.” said Harry. He focused on the toy missile hands and made them float over to him. He grabbed them with his hands and then reloaded his toy. “See?”

“Very good kids!” said Frost, walking in and clapping his hands. His snow white fur matched that of his daughter, and he had one red eye and one blue eye. He was wearing his long sleeve, black pants suit, which was freshly cleaned and ready for a night out.

“Daddy!” shouted both children. They ran up and hugged their large wolf father happily, letting their toys drop to the floor.

“Haha, don't forget to concentrate.” said Frost, hugging them back. “Don't break your toys by letting them fall on the floor like that, or you mom will get mad.”

“Hehe, sorry daddy.” said Snow.

“Yeah, sorry!” said Harry.

Frost stood and turned to Emina. “I'm glad you and Sylvie could come watch them for a while.” he said.

“It's no problem.” said Emina. “They're always so well behaved and sweet.”

“Where are you going daddy?” asked Snow.

“Somewhere with mommy?” asked Harry.

“Yes, we're going out tonight for a special dinner.” said Frost. “We should be back before bed time though.”

In the kitchen, Hazel was speaking with Sylvie, a large, brown furred water rat wearing a white shirt and black skirt. One obvious trait of her's was having a prosthetic right arm made of wood and manipulated by magic. She was born without an arm, but when she met Hazel, the witch hare was able to construct her one. Sylvie looked at it and moved it back and forth, flexing the fingers with a slight creaking sound.

“How does that feel?” asked Hazel.

“Better, thanks.” said Sylvie. “It was starting to get a little stiff.”

“This should last you quite a while.” said Hazel. “I just had to replace some of the wood I used last time.”

“Yeah, sorry about that.” said Sylvie. “Emina and I had a bit of a fight.”

“A fight?” asked Hazel with concern.

“Yes, but not with each other.” said Sylvie. “A wild beast in the deep woods jumped us. It didn't stand a chance naturally, but my arm was a little worse for wear.”

“Well, I'm glad you two handled it okay.” said Hazel. “I know you'll take good care of our precious ones.”

“Of course Hazel.” said Sylvie. “I'd give my life to protect them.”

“Haha, well hopefully it'll never come to that.” said Hazel. “We're just going out for a little fun. We haven't had a night to ourselves since they were born.”

“Yes, I still remember that day.” said Sylvie, swaying her tail a little. “They were such a blessing.”

“I'm just glad they turned out healthy.” said Hazel. “Frost and I weren't sure how a twin hybrid birth would go.”

“It was thanks to the magic and science at the hospital that they were both delivered without issue.” said Sylvie.

“I'm thankful we live in such an age and place where both co-exist and compliment each other.” said Hazel.

“It's much different from the world Emina comes from.” said Sylvie. “Such technological wonders, but no magic. It's advanced, but there's something dull about it.”

“I feel a world with both is the best alternative.” said Hazel. “I've been traveling worlds for a very long time, and I've seen many that were devastated by their own technology. Others were much less developed, with no technology or magic to aid them.”

“It's a good thing you found me when you did.” said Sylvie.

“Adopting you was the second best decision I ever made.” said Hazel. “You were only twelve then. My how time flies.”

“Second best?” Sylvie mockingly frowned.

“Haha, yes, I would be lying if I said marrying Frost wasn't the best decision I ever made.” said Hazel.

“Well, that and having kids.” said Sylvie. “That was an unexpected decision.”

“I hear you have been thinking about it too.” said Hazel.

Sylvie blushed and looked down at her wooden arm. “I guess Emina has been telling on me.” she said. “It's just a thought for now.”

“That's how it starts.” said Hazel. “You two do make great aunts and babysitters for our little ones. They love you both to death.”

“I'm glad they do.” said Sylvie. “We love them both very much.”

Back in the living room, Frost entered, carrying a backpack. “Okay kids, it's about time for us to go.” he said. The two children stopped playing and ran up to him, hugging his legs.

“Aww, do you have to go papa?” asked Snow.

“Yes, but I know you two are big enough to handle being away from us for a day.” said Frost. He picked up Snow and gave her a hug and a small lick to her cheek, making her smile and giggle. After putting her down, he did the same with his son Harry, making his tail wag.

“All ready to go?” asked Hazel, walking in wearing a long, pale blue dress and red choker. Her ears were down, as if to mimic hair being brushed down the back, and her own blue hair fur was done up in a ponytail.

“Yes, you look so pretty.” said Frost. He took her by the hand and pulled her into a hug, then a kiss.

“Oooh, mommy and daddy are kissing!” Harry giggled.

“Haha, that's right.” said Hazel. She smiled and kissed each of her children on the forehead before picking up her wand. “You two be good now.” She flicked her wrist and the wand began to glow and form a circle. The circle then formed a glowing blue portal in the air in front of them.

“We will!” said the two kids, waving at their parents.

Hazel and Frost walked through the portal, and it closed shortly after with a magical zipping sound.

“Wow, mommy's magic is always so cool!” said Harry.

“I'm gonna go practice mine right now!” said Snow. She began to make more of her toys levitate and move about in the air. Books, dolls, blocks, and plush toys all began to dance and sway around the living room.

“Me too!” said Harry. He waved his hands and wiggled his fingers, then made his toy robot and space ships float around the room. “Look! It's just like where you come from Aunt Emina!” He smiled as he levitated one of the more futuristic car toys up around her.

“Oh yes, that's very good!” said Emina. She smiled and clapped her paws, amused by their magic, but also impressed at their skill.

“They really are quite powerful for being so young.” said Sylvie, standing beside Emina.

“It's hard to imagine sometimes.” said Emina. “It seems like just yesterday they were crawling around in diapers.”

“Oh yes, such sweet little fluffs.” said Sylvie. “Of course, changing those diapers was no fun.”

“I don't need diapers anymore Aunt Sylvie.” said Snow. “I don't even wet the bed any more!”

“That's very good Snow!” said Sylvie, patting her head.

“Me neither!” said Harry.

“Liar!” said Snow, giggling and sticking her tongue out.

“Am not!” Harry whined. He began swirling his toys around Snow's toys, launching toy missiles into them and crashing them into each other.

“Oooh, stop it!” shouted Snow, moving her toys away. “Boys play too rough!”

“That's enough.” said Sylvie. “Didn't your parents tell you to behave?”

“They're just being children.” said Emina, smiling and remembering her own youth.

“Yes, but they're going to break something if they keep on doing that.” said Sylvie.

“Sorry Aunt Sylvie.” said Snow, moving her toys to the floor.

“Y-yeah, sorry.” said Harry, blushing and putting his hands behind his back. He twitched a finger and launched one more missile at Snow's doll.

“Harry!” shouted Sylvie.

“You two have so much energy tonight.” said Emina.

“Ah, to be young again.” said Sylvie.

“Well, we have a few hours before bed time.” said Emina. “What do you cubs want to do?”

“Oh, lets go for a walk in the woods!” said Snow.

“Yeah, that sounds fun!” said Harry, wagging his tail eagerly.

Sylvie turned and looked out of the window. The sun was still shining, but getting low. “Ah well, why not?” she said. “There's plenty of light left.”

“Yes, and a walk in the woods will help them release all that energy.” said Emina.

“Yay!” the two cubs cheered.

“Come along then.” said Sylvie, walking towards the front door. They all walked outside and into the front yard. The air was full with the scent of wood and dirt, and a cool breeze brushed through their fur. They walked up to the wooden fence and opened the door, then stepped out into the woods. The two cubs immediately began running and hopping around in the dirt, grass, and leaves.

“Don't stray too far from us!” said Emina. “Stay where we can see you!”

“Yes Aunt Emina!” said the two cubs.

“Race ya to that tree!” said Snow, pointing to a large oak tree in the distance.

“Okay!” said Harry. They each got down on all fours, hunched over with their hind legs ready to spring. “On your mark, get set....go!” They both scampered off towards the tree, kicking up dirt and leaves as their little claws dug into the ground. They giggled and held their arms out as they ran, with Snow lifting her dress and Harry making the occasional hop forward. As part hare, they had strong legs that were good for jumping, and as part wolf their legs were also good for speed and agility. They both ran along the forest floor, jumping over logs and avoiding prickly bushes.

“Hah, hah, hah...” Snow panted heavily. She looked over at her brother and smiled, enjoying the play time. She had even somewhat had fun with their little magic fight earlier, but magical energy is different than physical energy. While both can lead into each other, physical activity was a much better way to expend it.

“They've gotten faster.” said Sylvie.

“They'll only keep improving as they get older.” said Emina.

“The way they constantly compete with one another will see to that.” said Sylvie. “Constantly feeling the need to be the best sibling.”

“That can work counter to their relationship though.” said Emina. “They should make sure not to make everything a competition.”

“I trust Hazel and Frost to guide them.” said Sylvie. “Although we can help.”

“It'll be good practice.” said Emina, grinning a little.

“Will it now?” asked Sylvie. “You just had to tell Hazel about it didn't you?”

“Oh come on.” said Emina. “They're going to find out sooner or later. Better we let them know now so that we can all be prepared and help one another.”

Harry was able to reach the tree first, and but his claws into its soft bark. “I win!” he proclaimed, wagging his tail happily.

“Ah, no fair!” said Snow. “You have better speed than I do because of daddy's wolf blood.”

“Yeah, so?” asked Harry. “You're my sister. You have his blood too.”

“Yeah, but you have more wolf in you.” said Snow.

“Hm, lets see who can climb best!” said Harry. He dug his claws into the tree again, embracing it.

“Hehe, fine!” said Snow. She dug her claws in as well. “Okay, go!” They both began to climb the tree, inching along with their small but sharp claws.

“Careful now!” said Sylvie from below.

“Keep a good grip and mind the loose bark!” said Emina.

“Hehe, we got it!” said Harry, climbing up the tree in a hurry. His tongue was hanging out of his mouth as he climbed, using all four paws.

“I got you this time!” said Snow, climbing along with him. The two seemed to be evenly matched, but it was still Harry who got to the lowest branch first.

“I win again!” said Harry, perching on the long, strong branch.

“Ugh, one of these days I'm gonna beat you at climbing!” Snow pouted. She began sliding back down the trunk of the tree, letting her claws slowly slice through the bark.

“Just remember to practice dear.” said Sylvie.

“Magic is an important skill to learn, but so is physical activity.” said Emina.

“I know.” said Snow, landing on her feet. “But I wanted to show mommy how well I can levitate things!”

“And you did that.” said Sylvie. “Your mommy knows how powerful you are with magic.”

“I'm powerful too!” said Harry. He climbed back down the tree with the wooden cracking sound of his claws slicing into wood.

“Yes, but you're still more adept at physical skills.” said Emina. “It's okay to not be the best at everything. You're both good at different things.”

“Yeah but...” said Harry. “We can both be good!”

Snow nodded, then looked at Harry with a smirk. “Yeah, but I'm better at making stuff levitate.” she said. “It's easy!”

“Hmf, not easy for me.” said Harry. “It took me a while to learn how, but you got it right away. How come?”

“She gets her powers from her mother.” said Sylvie. “Just like your strength is from your father.”

“But we're twins.” said Snow.

“Yeah, how come we didn't get the same abilities?”

“That's just how genetics works.” said Emina She tapped a device on her wrist and a hologram of DNA appeared on top of it. “We are all products of two people. Their genetics determine how we look, develop, and grow. Sometimes we get more from one parent than the other. Sometimes we even get something from many generations ago.”

“I guess.” said Harry. “I don't understand how yet, but I know I look more like daddy than mommy.”

“And I look more like mommy than daddy.” said Snow.

“Yes, even though you have your father's fur color, you are more hare than wolf.” said Sylvie. “It's her hare genetics that boost your magical abilities.”

“But we can still practice together, right?” asked Harry.

“Of course dear.” said Sylvie.

“We encourage it.” said Emina. “Just never forget that you are family.”

“Why would we forget that?” asked Snow.

“I just mean that you should never be jealous of each other to the point that you become resentful.” said Sylvie.

“But I love my sister.” said Harry.

“And I love my brother.” said Snow. “There's no way we would be enemies like that.”

“Sometimes it happens though.” said Sylvie. They all began walking along a familiar path in the woods as the sun continued to set.

“No way we'll end up like that.” said Harry.

“Yeah, no way.” said Snow. She began to prance and hop around the forest floor, climbing the occasional tree to practice.

Harry giggled and kept running around on all fours, kicking up leaves and dirt as he did. He stopped for a moment when he felt a tickle in his fur, and began to scratch at his ear. “Something's on me.” he said.

“Oh, let me see!” said Snow. She walked up to him and parted his fur around the back of his ear, and spotted a peculiar insect. “Oooh, it's a bug!” She plucked it away with her claws and looked at it in her hands.

“What kind of bug?” asked Harry. The bug had tiny mandibles, six limbs, and a hard shell.

“Oh, looks like a baby beetle.” said Sylvie.

“Oooh, can I keep it?” asked Harry. “It picked me after all.”

“You really should leave nature outside.” said Emina. “The more we disturb things, the more the great balance is thrown off.”

“Oh, really?” asked Harry. He put his finger next to the bug and let it crawl onto him. After looking at it very closely, he was surprised when the hard shell opened up and tiny wings came out. The little beetle flew away with a tiny buzzing sound. Harry's tail wagged and he smiled broadly, seeing it fly away. “It has wings!”

“Oooh, it can fly!” said Snow. They watched it fly around the forest and land on a tree up high. “I wish I could fly like that.”

“Maybe some day you can.” said Sylvie. “If you practice your magic enough.”

“Can mommy fly?” asked Snow.

“Yes, but it takes a lot of magical power.” said Sylvie.

“I could fly with my suit's jets, but those take a power of their own.” said Emina.

“Like batteries?” asked Harry.

“Exactly like that.” sand Emina. “We have a certain amount of energy within us all, and like a battery, it can run out.”

“But we can recharge our energy.” said Sylvie. “By getting plenty of rest and eating healthy.”

“Haha, does that mean we're batteries too?” asked Harry.

“No silly.” said Emina, patting him on the head. “All living things have energy within their own bodies that gets used whenever they move or talk or do pretty much anything.”

“Right now, you two have an abundance of energy.” said Sylvie. “But as you get older, you'll find that you may run out of it faster than you used to.”

“Oh no!” said Snow. “I don't want to run out of energy!”

“Then you have to make sure you keep active.” said Emina. “Never let yourselves indulge in rich foods or too much rest.”

“But mommy says it's okay to have sweets sometimes.” said Harry.

“Yes, she's right.” said Sylvie. “But too much can make you sick or make you have health problems later on in life.”

“Some learn this the hard way.” said Emina. “I have no doubt that you two will be smarter and more capable than most when you get older.” She wanted to be positive and reassuring for the children. Although they were only four, their understanding of the world around them was much more advanced than some children twice their age.

“We will?” asked Snow with a big smile. Even so, they were still just little kits.

“Absolutely.” said Emina. She smiled and brushed her tail against Snow's back in a loving gesture.

Harry suddenly poked Snow on the shoulder. “Tag, you're it!” he shouted before running off.

“Harry!” Snow shouted. “Oooh, I'm gonna get you!” She sped off right behind him as the two adults walked behind them giggling.

“They really are darling.” said Emina.

“Yes, Hazel and Frost are so lucky to have them.” said Sylvie.

“You think we could be as lucky?” asked Emina.

“I think so, yes.” said Sylvie. She reached over and took Emina by the hand as they walked through the forest. “Especially if they are anything like these two.”

“Wait up!” shouted Snow. “Hey! I'm older so you have to do what I say!”

“Haha, no I don't!” said Harry, wagging his tail as he ran over rocks and a small stream. As he ran through some bushes, something glowing caught his eye. “Oooh...”

Snow came running up behind him, nearly bumping into him as she ran through the bushes. “Ack!” she shouted. “Hey what's...oh!” She smiled, seeing several tiny glowing insects flying through the air. “Oooh, lantern bugs!”

“Hehe, there are so many!” said Harry, looking around at them all. They flew around through the trees and bushes, but some were flying lower. He chuckled, trying to catch them.

“Too bad we didn't bring a jar.” said Sylvie.

“I thought you said we shouldn't take things from the forest.” said Snow.

“I did.” said Sylvie. “But there is a fun thing you can do with lantern bugs. If you put them in a jar, they can light your way at night! You just let them out before going to bed.”

“Oh!” said Snow. “Lets go get a jar!”

“Yeah!” said Harry, wagging his tail.

“It's much too far now.” said Emina. “By the time we get back home, it'll be nearly time for bed.”

“Aw!” Harry pouted. “No fair.”

Snow looked around at the bugs and smiled, reaching her hand out. After a while, one lit on her finger. “Ooooh, look!” she said.

“Wow!” said Harry. He held his paw out trying to catch one as well, but was too impatient and kept moving around.

“You have to stay very still.” said Sylvie. “Let them come to you.”

“Okay.” said Harry. He stood still and waited with his paws out, looking at the blinking green dots floating through the air. It was a very magical feeling for them both, since they had only been out this late a few times before. Harry was getting impatient again, but was unaware that a few had lit on his tail. He heard Snow giggling and looked over at her. “What's so funny?”

“Hehe, look at your tail.” said Snow, pointing at him.

“Huh?” asked Harry. He turned and looked, then smiled when he saw several glowing green dots on his tail. “Oh wow!”

“Haha, I think they like you.” said Emina.

“They are attracted to natural magic.” said Sylvie. “You both have a lot of it within you, so of course they would be interested. It is natural magic within them that can cause them to glow like that. They only come out when it starts to get dark, and they get higher and higher as the night goes on. Before the sun comes up, they disappear into the trees and grass again, waiting for night to fall again.”

“So that's why we don't see them during the day.” said Snow.

“They must sleep during the day time.” said Harry. “Then they stay up all night. Oooh, that would be awesome.” He giggled and wagged his tail, but this caused the lantern bugs to fly off of it and into the air. “Aw...”

“We should be headed back now.” said Emina. “You two still need a bath before bed.”

“Oh yay, bath time!” shouted Snow.

“Aw, okay.” said Harry. “But next time, can we bring a jar please?” He smiled up at Emina and Sylvie with his tail wagging behind him.

“Of course dear.” said Sylvie, ruffling his head fur.

“Hehe, yay!” said Harry. Together, they began walking back, but now the trail was alive with more lantern bugs. The twins giggled and frolicked among them, watching them fly around and float up into the trees.

“There they go.” said Snow. “Wheee!” She smiled, watching them flutter around. “They're so cute!”

“Haha, yes they are.” said Emina. “Just like you two.”

By the time they got home, the sun had set, and the sounds of crickets began filling the air. The twins rushed inside and to the bathroom, where they began to remove their clothes. Emina and Sylvie followed, cleaning up after them.

“You two should really remember to wipe your feet before coming inside.” said Sylvie, chiding them.

“Sorry Aunt Sylvie.” said Snow. She looked down at her feet and saw the dirt on them.

“Ooops...” said Harry. “Should we go back out and wipe them?”

“No no, that'll just track more dirt on the floor.” said Sylvie.

“I got it.” said Emina. “You go ahead and run them some bath water.”

“On it.” said Sylvie, walking to the bathroom. The two were still struggling to remove their clothes, so she helped them before running the water. The twins were used to bathing together since they had done so every since they were babies. She washed their dirty paws before running some warm water and adding some fun bubble bath soap to it. It was a very large, white porcelain tub that could easily fit two adults, let alone two small children.

Snow smiled and stuck her finger into the water, then swirled it. The water began to glow, and then swirl, mixing the soap with the water and creating lots of bubbles.

“Hehe, oooh, so many bubbles!” said Harry, watching eagerly.

“Okay kids, hop in.” said Sylvie.

Harry and Snow leapt into the tub, splashing some water onto Sylvie. “Yay!”

“I shouldn't have said hop.” said Sylvie, drying herself with a towel.

“Hehehe, sorry Aunt Sylvie.” said the cubs.

Harry began playing around with the bubbles, gathering some in his paws before putting it onto his head fur. “Hehehe!”

“Silly brother.” said Snow. She began to levitate some of the bubbles in the air, then dumped them onto Harry's head. Harry just giggled and shook them off, getting bubbles everywhere. “Hehe, hey!”

Harry dove under the water and then popped back up, letting the water and bubbles cascade down his fur. He then began to swim around a little in the water with his tail wagging.

Snow giggled at him and began putting bath toys on his back as he swam around her. The tub was large enough to be a small pool to them, and there was just enough water for them to be able to swim if they wanted. After a while of playing in the bubbly water, Emina entered with some familiar garments in her hands.

“Just in time.” said Sylvie. “Here, you can help wash Harry while I wash Snow.”

Emina smiled and put the colorful, disposable night time underwear on the counter and walked over to the tub. She knelt down and smiled at the two cute little cubs playing. “Okay little ones, lets make sure you get all clean.” she said.

Harry smiled and stood in the water, which came up to his tummy. “Okay!”

Snow slowly stood with her fur dripping. “Hehe, okay!”

Emina and Sylvie each used a wash cloth to gently clean their fur from head to toe, making them giggle by tickling their feet a little. Once they were all clean, the water swirled down the drain as the two were lifted out and wrapped in fluffy, dry towels. Sylvie used a spell to make the towel swirl around on Snow, getting her all dry, while Emina dried Harry manually. Their soft, clean fur poofed out once dry, so Sylvie picked up a brush and began to brush Snow's fur.

“Such soft, smooth fur you have.” said Sylvie.

Emina picked up a brush and began slowly brushing Harry's fur as well. Harry began to smile and wag his tail from the attention. “Such a cutie.” she said, booping his nose. Harry giggled and smiled with his tiny fangs showing. She sat him on her lap and began trimming his claws a little. “Goodness, your claws are getting really long and sharp.

“They need to be!” said Harry. “Makes it easier to climb trees!”

“Yeah, sharp claws are good to have.” said Snow, showing her own claws.

“Yes, but they shouldn't be TOO sharp or too long.” said Sylvie. She sat with Snow in her lap and began trimming her claws as well. “It's important to keep them trimmed so they don't get ingrown or snag things they shouldn't.

“Aw, if we gotta.” said Harry, pouting a little. He liked scratching his name into things with his claws, which had gotten him in trouble lately.

“Just a little trim.” said Emina, smiling and ruffling his fur. As they were being tended to, the twins began to yawn and stretch out before rubbing their eyes sleepily.

“Sleepy are we?” asked Sylvie. “Good thing Emina brought these in.” She picked up the two pairs of night time pullups, one blue and one pink, handing the blue one to Emina.

“Aw, do we hafta wear them?” Harry whined.

“I'm afraid so.” said Emina.

“It's because you wet the bed the other night.” said Snow.

“So did you!” Harry pointed out, making her blush. Truth be told, neither of them woke up dry every day, and accidents happened more often than not.

“Don't worry, it happens.” said Sylvie, helping Snow into her pullups.

“Even to big kids.” said Emina, helping Harry into his. He blushed and swished his tail, getting his fur to feel comfortable in the disposable underwear.

“But we are big kids.” said Harry. “We can climb trees and do magic!”

“Yes, but your bodies are still very young.” said Sylvie. “Sometimes it takes a while for some parts of the body to catch up.”

“You'll be fine before you start school I'm sure.” said Emina. “You two haven't had any daytime accidents in months!”

“Yeah!” said Harry. “We keep our pants dry!”

“I can't wait to sleep in big girl panties.” said Snow.

“If you can stay dry all night for a month, then maybe your parents will let you try.” said Sylvie.

“I can do it!” said Snow.

“Me too!” said Harry. “Then we'll be REAL big kids!” His tail wagged, making his pullup rustle slightly.

“Okay now, lets brush those little fangs.” said Emina. The two little cubs stepped up onto little wooden stools in order to reach the sink, and began running the water. Emina and Sylvie helped them get some toothpaste on their tooth brushes, then let them brush their teeth. After inspecting their work, they gave them each a small cup of water to rinse with.

“Ah, all clean!” said Snow, smiling and showing her fangs.

“Very good.” said Sylvie. “Off to bed now.” She picked up Snow while Emina picked up Harry, and they were carried to their bedroom. Their room was still more like a nursery, with toys here and there as well as a bed with side rails in case they rolled around in their sleep. They each still shared a bed, as they had since birth, but it was a large bed that could easily fit them both. They were each placed into the large wooden bed side by side, then covered with a soft blue blanket.

“Good night you two.” said Emina, kissing them both on the head.

“Good night sweet hearts.” said Sylvie, kissing them on the head as well.

“Good night!” said the cubs. They both yawned and curled up together, snuggling as they fell asleep quickly.

Emina dimmed the lights and left the room with Sylvie. The two smiled at each other and then walked back to the living room.

“They're really sweet.” said Sylvie. “I do enjoy our time together.”

“Me too.” said Emina. She sat on the sofa and looked over at Sylvie. “Have you thought about it some more?”

“All the time.” said Sylvie. “I think...we should try having some of our own.”

“Are you sure?” asked Emina. “It's a huge responsibility, and not one we can just tend to occasionally. We will be taking care of someone every day and night.

“I know.” said Sylvie. “And that's fine. Do you remember the day we met?”

“Of course.” said Emina. “It was at that bar in my world.”

“Your world has an interesting selection in spirits.” Sylvie joked.

“Yes, you asked me for a recommendation.” said Emina.

“And I got so drunk that I ended up barfing.” Sylvie laughed. “We can joke about it now, but at the time it wasn't so funny.”

“I remember having to hold your hair.” said Emina. “You were so cute how you asked if you could crash at my place. You were so afraid to go home drunk.”

“Haha, yes, Hazel would have had my hide.” said Sylvie. “Or at least given me a good scolding. We did have fun that night though.”

“Yeah we did.” said Emina, putting her hand on Sylvie's. “It was the best night of my life for sure.”

“I would say the same, if it wasn't for the barfing.” Sylvie joked. The two sat together, cuddled up on the couch for a little while, when suddenly a familiar blue portal opened up outside.

“Oh, looks like they're home.” said Emina. The front door opened and in walked Frost with Hazel, both holding hands and smiling.

“Welcome home!” said Sylvie.

“Hope you two had a good time.” said Emina.

“Thank you.” said Hazel. “We did!”

“Yes, I think we are more in love than ever.” said Frost, kissing Hazel.

“How were the kids?” asked Hazel. “They weren't any trouble I hope.”

“They were precious little fluffs.” said Emina.

“Still competitive as ever.” said Sylvie. “But that tends to be how siblings are.”

“Yes, I have noticed they have been trying to show off their skills more.” said Hazel.

“Which isn't a bad thing.” said Frost. “Children often want to impress their parents.”

“And we make sure to praise them both for their accomplishments.” said Hazel.

“It reminds me of the years under your tutelage, after you adopted me.” said Sylvie. “I tried so hard to impress you.”

“You were impressive all on your own.” said Hazel. “Through the many accidental reactions from potion practice, you were able to learn and grow.”

Sylvie blushed and nodded, remembering the occasional potion that blew up in her face or turned her fur different colors. “Yes, and you were always a great and patient teacher.” she said. “I just don't want them to get hurt trying to outdo one another.”

“It's a thin line sometimes.” said Frost. “But we will handle it in our own way, as I trust you both will too.”

“You know?” asked Sylvie.

“Yes, of course.” said Frost.

Sylvie glared at Emina, then at Hazel. “I wasn't going to say anything until we decided for sure!” she grumbled.

“And have you?” asked Hazel.

“Well yes, but that's not the point.” said Sylvie. Everyone chuckled and hugged each other.

“I'm so happy for you both.” said Hazel.

“Thank you.” said Emina. Just then, everyone's ears twitched when they heard two tiny, adorable howls coming from the nursery.

“Aww, that's right, it's a full moon tonight.” said Frost.

“I'll go tuck them back in.” said Sylvie.

“No, it's better to let them howl it out.” said Frost. “In fact, I have an idea.”

In the nursery, the twins were sitting up in their bed, looking out of the window at the full moon. They would inhale deeply, then howl out long and loud over and over at it. They weren't sure why, but they felt a strong urge to do so if they ever heard a howl or saw a full moon. Frost knew all too well, although he had learned to control his instincts. However, on this night, as the children were howling, they suddenly heard a very deep, loud, haunting howl indeed. They were surprised and jumped a little from hearing it.

“D-daddy?!” Harry gasped. It had been a long time since they heard their father actually howl, but his tail began to wag upon hearing it and seeing his father in their door way.

“Hey there kiddos!” said Frost. He walked in and ruffled their head fur, then gave them both a big hug.

“S-sorry if we were too loud daddy.” said Snow.

“It's okay.” said Frost. “You both have a wolf's instincts, and those howls are hard to control at your age. We weren't sleeping, so no one was woken up by it. In fact, I thought I'd join you this one time.”

“Yay!” the twins cheered. They all gathered around the window and began howling in unison at the moon. Hazel, Sylvie, and Emina watched from the door way, smiling at their little family having a bonding moment. It was a time they would long remember fondly, and speak of from time to time. Mere minutes later, the twins were fast asleep again, having howled it all out with their father.
