Character Description

Simmer is a half-wildling, she grew up learning survival before language, instinct before structure. Her speech is limited and often fragmented, not from lack of intelligence, but because she learned early that action often spoke more clearly than words ever could. Those who know her well understand that her meaning is carried in movement, expression, and presence rather than conversation.

Background/History

Physically, Simmer is strong and fast in a way that feels almost unnatural, the result of a life spent constantly adapting to harsh terrain and unpredictable threats. She moves with quiet precision when needed, but can erupt into sudden bursts of overwhelming speed when instinct takes over. Her half-wildling nature gives her a heightened awareness of surroundings—she notices shifts in wind, distant movement, and subtle changes in atmosphere that others often miss entirely.

Emotionally, Simmer is difficult for most people to read at first. She does not express herself through long explanations or detailed reasoning. Instead, her feelings come through in smaller, more immediate ways: posture, tension, proximity, and protective instincts. She may not say she cares about someone, but she will position herself between them and danger without hesitation. Her loyalty is instinctual, not verbalized.
