In the Pokemon world, gigantism is not as uncommon as you think. Even before the advent of Dynamax, there have been quite a few cases of larger-than-life `Mons roaming the lands. A particularly famous example is the intense battle between a giant Treecko and an enormous Gulpin that occurred outside Petalburg City. Once the Dynamax phenomenon was discovered, however, the number of cases grew (pun intended) staggeringly high, and it was now commonplace for a Pokemon to become somewhat oversized.
But out of all the times this type of incident occurred, one stood above all the rest. Nothing could compare to the cataclysmic arrival of what was once considered a meek creature, grown to an unfathomable size for reasons only it would know. This case was the one to end all the cases.
This is the story of Eternea, the great and all-powerful Floette... and not one for the faint of heart. Don't say i didn't warn you.

If there was anyone whose job was to detect odd objects in the sky, then today was the absolute worst day for them to take a day off.
It started with the shadow. An expanding circular shadow on the ground, slowly covering the heart of the city. An unusual sight, yet one that put the citizens at an unease. Something was coming from the sky, and it was big.
People started looking up, and their unease soon turned into unfaltering fear. A giant green mass seemed to head in their direction, descending at a scarily steady pace. It wasn't exactly easy to make out what this mass was, but a few keen observers swore it resembled the tip of a leaf, kind of like a...
No, no... it can't be, right-
BOOOOOOOM!!!!!
...
``Such a gorgeous view...''
The voice of God... or something close to one.
Eternea looked around her empty-seeming yet pleasant surroundings. She always thought this world was a pretty place, but at this size it looked incredible.
``...aside from all the little gray spots.''
The Floette referred to what she knew were cities, which to a typical Floette would seem like a pretty big environment. But Eternea was no typical Floette. Her size surpassed everything the planet had to offer, and her origins were a complete mystery that only Eternea herself could explain. Unfortunately for the humans beneath her, she wasn't here to give that away.
She was here to have fun.
Having ignored the crunching sound caused by the poor city now a crater underneath her tail, Eternea lifted herself up, but only slightly above the ground, and began to float slowly and relaxingly. She looked down upon the other tiny towns scattered about, her joyous expression unfaltering.
She could vividly imagine how terrifying she must look to the humans (and her fellow Pokemon)- how could something usually so small and adorable be so big and towering, after all? Not to mention how carelessly destructive she seemed...
Eternea's eyes met with one city in particular, no larger than the palm of her palm of her hand to her. This point would soon be proven, as curiosity got the best of the mega-mon; she wanted to know what one of these so-called ``cities'' looked like up-close at her current size. So, to the horror of those occupying the town, Eternea lowered her hand towards it.
The Floette's mitten-like hand descended upon the outskirts of this city, and once skin and ground made contact it effortlessly dug through bedrock, creating a mighty shockwave that knocked the nearby humans down hard. Before anyone knew it they could feel the ground beneath them be lifted off- it seems Eternea has scooped their whole piece of civilization up.
The humans collectively came face-to-gigantic-face with the fairy-type terror. Eterna just stared at them for a moment, figuring out what she was going to do with this gray splotch on her palm. A thought soon came, though; a product of the Floette's undying curiosity. I've always wondered what these cities smell like from this perspective, she thought, being the flower lover she is.
So, somehow defying the laws of Floette logic, Eternea inched the city ever so slightly closer to her face and gave it a gentle, yet devastating, sniff, nostril holes forming on where you'd expect a normal Floette's nose to be on their face (if they had one). Almost instantly, people, animals, vehicles, objects, etc became pushed towards those holes, threatened to be sucked up inside her... face? Doesn't matter. Some were lucky, holding one to any strong object that Eternea couldn't lift off, like a building. Others, however, ended up meeting their inside the abyss that was the mega-sized Floette's insides, whatever those were.
The sniff only lasted a few seconds, but it felt like an eternity for the ``micros'' Eternea tormented. ``Hmm, not too bad. I only sensed a tiny hint of pollution. Down you go now, teehee...'' she said as she surprisingly let the city down on the ground gently, filling the crater her initial scooping left. The survivors, while grateful, were left traumatized.
``I'll spare you for now.'' Eternea said as her eyes averted to another town sitting untouched near her towering body. ``These lil guys, on the other hand...'' she floated towards that aforementioned town, an ominous hovering figure in its citizen's eyes.
As you could imagine, she too swiftly scooped it up as well, but her intentions with it were different. There was something else, arguably more terrifying, she was curious about. I wonder how these once-tall buildings can handle the formation of a fist, she thought to herself. So she slowly balled up her hand, increasing the tension between her and the humans the closer her skin got to their city. Soon enough..
*CRUNCH*
All was crushed. Buildings, humans, the uprooted ground- everything. Eternea opened up her hand to find nothing but specks of dirt. She didn't regret destroying that city, but she didn't do it out of malice or vengeance. She just thought it was fun.
``*giggles* Not very sturdy, are you? It's okay though, i love feeling things being squished under my hands!'' she said innocently.
``You know,'' Eternea continued once the city's remains were dusted off her palm. ``i really, REALLY like this planet. So beautiful, full of life... and fun to play with! I've been thinking about exploring other planets, but before i go i should inscribe something so we could always remember each other. Good thing i have this...'' she said, referring to the equally gigantic flower she held in her non-city-scooping hand.
Oh crap, i didn't mention the equally gigantic flower she holds in her non-city-scooping hand, didn't i? Floettes usually have flowers on them at all times, and Eternea was no exception. However, as it would soon prove, hers is just as dangerous as Eternea herself.
She placed the bottom tip of this mega-flower on the ground, making yet another deep crater of bedrock. For a second the surviving humans near her were unsure what was about to happen (Eternea's voice was somewhat too loud for any mortal ears to decipher, after all), but one such zone soon found themselves hopelessly running in terror once Eternea moved that tip upwards towards them, their firm buildings disintegrating upon impact.
Eternea had made an even bigger crater, in the shape of a vertical straight line. But she wasn't done; she made another line, this time horizontally, from the top tip of that line. Another city became a casualty as a result. Then she made another horizontal line- another one bit the dust there. Then, a third and final line... which yes, also crushed a town.
Eternea stared down upon her genocidal work: a simple capital E.
``That should do i- AUGH!''
The Floette felt something small yet stingy hit her in the back of the head. She turned around, only to feel that uncomfortable sensation again, this time in the face. She looked around, and saw some tiny, near indistinguishable projectiles launching from the ground, in addition to a swarm of flying specks.
Eternea may be (totally) innocent, but she wasn't an idiot. Those were most definitely missiles and military planes shooting at her.
She was, as expected, a little angry. ``Errgh... Get away from me, pesky bugs!''
Meanwhile, the pilots were getting ready to throw anything they could at the massive Pokemon, despite the very staggering odds.
``Okay, team.'' one of them radioed in. ``Our orders are to take down this monstrous Floette by any means necessary. Does anyone copy?'' His questions was answered by a whole unison of ``Copy''s.
As they started firing on the giant they quickly began to notice her growing frustration, her free hand readying for a mighty swat.
``Um... should we be worried about that?'' another pilot said. ``Not if we're quick!'' yet another one responded. ``At least, i hope we're quick...''
Spoiler alert: they were not quick. In fact, a couple of harsh yet graceful swipes was all it took for the mighty flying armada to become nothing but scrap metal. Eternea sighed right as she finished taking care of the government-sent annoyances, and floated on, ignoring the missiles that continued to sting her. She had gotten used to them, yet hoped they'd go away soon.
...
Far off in the distance, in a part of the world Eternea hadn't even touched yet, an assortment of so-called ``legendary'' Pokemon began to sense that some kind of danger was occuring on the other side of the planet, whether it was through pure instinct or just hearing the military weaponry trying in vain to defeat the enlarged fairy-type.
Some gathered around each other, and soon they agreed they had to put an end to whatever was threatening to destroy the world they called home. Little did they know, as they made their way over to the giant Floette's current location, they would be put up against a truly challenging opponent.
And little did Eternea know, her time on this planet was far from over...
Eternea had become the biggest news story on the planet, the #1 trending thing on social media. Unfortunately, it was not for a good reason. Her immense size, and the destructive way she was using it, had not gone unnoticed, and the flow of internet-based information had put essentially the whole world in a state of sheer panic and fear.
One particular currently-intact city's news station brought out its top field reporter to address the frenzy that has plagued the town's citizens. Amidst his own growing dread over the forthcoming Floette menace, he managed to keep his composure once the camera was turned on.
``As you can see, many of us are dreading the arrival of the monstrous fairy-type that has ravaged countless other towns earlier today.'' said the reporter as a gaggle of rioting people (and their Pokemon) behind him fought one another and looted store after store, as rioters tend to do.
Just then, a shadow fell upon the area he was standing on- but not big enough for it to be Eternea. He and the cameraman looked up to find a Lugia flying above- wait a minute, a Lugia??? ``Um, it seems we've reached a new development to this... frankly strange story. It seems-'' Suddenly, he- and pretty much everyone in a one mile radius- stopped to become the recipient of a power Lugia had seldom utilized.
