Episode 50: Advanced training part 2
Afternoon, when the puppies get their lunch break.
At that time, Jerony was looking at his puppies who were lunching together.
"Puppies... Are you ready for the second session of advanced training?" Jerony announced after lunch, his eyes scanning over the group.
"Noooo!!!!" The puppies groaned in unison.
They are traumatized by their holding pee training yesterday.
"Why, pups?!??" Jerony questioned, raising an eyebrow at their collective protest.
"We don't want to do it if it's still about pee training," Svara whined, her ears flat against her head.
The other puppies nodded in agreement, their tails drooping.
"Don't worry, puppies... This time it's not about pee anymore... But, hunt training," Jerony said with a smirk.
"Hunt?!?? Yeeeaaahh!!!!" The puppies' spirits lifted immediately, their tails wagging with excitement at the mention of something more action-packed than bladder control.
"It will be so fun!!!" Maxtone barked, his eyes lighting up with excitement at the thought of the new challenge.
"Okay puppies... Now, go to your bedroom take your spy suit and gears, then you come back here," Jerony ordered, his tone serious.
The puppies' excitement grew as they realized this was going to be an actual mission.
"Let's go, let's go," the puppies barked and yipped, their tails wagging with excitement as they dashed to their bedrooms to get ready.
A few minutes later, the puppies reassembled in the living room, all dressed in their sleek spy suits, their gear strapped securely to their tiny bodies.
The sight of them in their serious attire was almost comical, but Jerony knew that under those adorable exteriors lay the hearts of true agents.
"Okay puppies... Listen carefully... This training, you have to find a treasure I've hidden somewhere in the house," Jerony began, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"It's always be easy, Master... With a teamwork, we can find the treasure," Svara said, her spontaneous spirit shining through.
"Teamwork?!?? Sorry puppies, but this time it's an individual mission," Jerony corrected with a mischievous smile "you must use your unique skills to locate the treasure... Only one of you can claim it."
"What?!?? But, usually we do missions together," Maxtone pouted, his nosed wrinkling with confusion.
"Listen, puppies... Sometimes, not trusting someone is the right choice in missions," Jerony explained, his gaze moving from one pup to the next "because sometimes, even your closest friend can be a mole."
"So... That's mean we have to compete against each other?" Hershell asked, his eyes wide with surprise.
"Yeah... This time, you have to learn to trust only on your instincts and rely on your own skills," Jerony affirmed, watching as the puppies looked at each other nervously "the treasure that you must find, is a Puppy-pops, the most delicious pup-treat in the city... The fastest and cleverest pup who finds it, will be the winner."
"I have to find it," Anna thought, her tail wagging slightly "I'm the best at night missions... I'll find it before anyone else does."
"Okay... Your hunting time is, until the sunset... Remember, don't trust anyone, not even your best friend," Jerony warned, watching as the puppies exchanged glances "three... Two... One... GO!"
The puppies took off, their little legs moving as fast as they could. The house was their playground and now it had turned into a treacherous battlefield.
They had to be smart, they had to be fast, and they had to be the best.
Those who are accustomed to working together as a team, now they had to rely on their own instincts and speed. The competition had begun, and the air was filled with the sound of their little paws scurrying across the floor.
The first and fastest puppy to find the Puppy-pops treasure would be declared the winner.
Maxtone took to the air, his wings jet carrying him swiftly through the house. He figured that the treasure would be high up, where only he could reach.
Svara, the ocean spy, stuck to the ground, her keen nose sniffing around the lower areas, hoping the scent of the delicious treat would lead her to victory.
Meanwhile, Seca, the genius mechanic spy pup, was busy dismantling the vents and peeking into the walls, thinking that maybe Jerony had hidden the treasure in a more technical spot.
"Okay... If I was a Puppy-pops, where am I gonna hide?" Luna thought to herself, her tiny paws tapping the floor as she pondered.
Her hacking skills might not be useful in a physical search, but she knew the house's layout better than anyone. She dashed to the kitchen, her eyes scanning every inch of the floor and counters.
Luna sniffing around the kitchen, her eyes darting back and forth as she searched for any clue.
Suddenly, she noticed something out of place - a tiny piece of shiny paper stuck to the fridge.
"Could this be it?" she thought, her heart racing.
She leaped up, her paws hitting the button to open the fridge.
But unfortunately, it's just a piece of junk mail. Luna sighs, feeling a little discouraged, but she doesn't give up. Her instincts tell her to check the pantry next.
Meanwhile in the another place, Anna, the night spy, was using her sharp eyes to scan the shadowy corners of the house. Her bicolor eyes, a unique trait among her siblings, allowed her to spot the faintest of movements.
"If I can find my favorite treat before the other puppies, I will show Master how much I've learned," Anna thought, her eyes narrowing as she slipped into the dimly lit hallway.
At the backyard, Hershell was busy sniffing around the bushes, his tail wagging as he searched for any sign of the hidden treasure. His sensitive nose picked up a faint scent of something sweet.
"Could it be?" he wondered, his eyes lighting up as he followed the trail into the doghouse playground.
As he approached the doghouse, Hershell noticed that the floor was recently disturbed. His nose led him to a spot where the scent of sweetness was the strongest.
He began to dig, his paws flying through the soil.
"Aaahh... Failed... This is the candy package that I ate yesterday," Hershell murmured in disappointment, dropping the empty package of sweet treats.
He knew that the scent was familiar, but he couldn't resist following it, hoping it was the elusive Puppy-pops.
Meanwhile, Lynna was in the playroom, she searched among the arcade games, her hyperactive nature making it difficult for her to focus on any one spot for long.
However, she had the advantage of not needing to communicate her findings, allowing her to keep her discoveries a secret. Her eyes darted from one game to the next, searching for any sign of the treasure.
"Where's the Puppy-pops... I have to find it first before anyone," Lynna's pup-tag squeaked, her eyes darting around the playroom.
She jumped onto the couch, her paws pawing at the cushions.
For hours, the puppies tried to find treasure that was hidden by their master, but until now, they hadn't found anything.
They were getting tired, but their hunger for the delicious Puppy-pops kept them going.
Meanwhile, Jerony, he was in the control room, watching every movements of his puppies through the monitor, smiling to himself.
He knew the competition would be intense, but he also knew that it was necessary for their development. They had to learn to rely on themselves and think outside the box.
Back in the living room, the puppies had regrouped, their tails wagging with excitement as they discussed their strategies.
"Maybe if we work together, we can find it faster," Seca suggested, his usual clumsiness forgotten in the face of the challenge.
"But, Master said it's an individual mission," Luna reminded him, her ears perking up "we can't trust each other."
"Errrrhhh... I'm so frustrating... Hershell!!! Have you found it and ate it by yourself?!" Svara barked out in frustration.
"No... I haven't found it," Hershell said, his tail drooping.
"I don't believe him... Maybe he's just trying to throw us off," Luna thought, her eyes narrowed with suspicion.
"Honey, why do you think I'd lie?" Hershell whined, his eyes wide with innocence.
"Master tell us... Sometimes the best friend can be a mole," Svara mumbled, looking suspiciously at Hershell.
"Guys... I'm not lied, honest... I have found it... Oopppss?" Hershell stuttered, his eyes widening as he realized his mistake.
The other puppies looked at him in shock, their tails stopping mid-wag.
"Hershell?!?? Are you?!??" Seca's eyes went wide with excitement and a hint of doubt.
"No... I didn't mean that... I just... I just thought it was a good place to look," Hershell stuttered, his tail dropping between his legs as the other puppies stared at him.
The puppies began to walk toward him, their expressions a mix of suspicion and hope.
"If you've found it, show us where's it," Anna demanded, her eyes gleaming with a hint of competitive fire.
"No... I swear I haven't found it," Hershell backpedaled, his paws shaking.
The pressure of the competition had gotten to him, and he hadn't meant to let his slip of the tongue raise their hopes and suspicions.
But suddenly, Hershell dashed away from the group, his tiny legs moving as fast as they could.
"Chased him!!!" Maxtone barked, his instincts telling him that Hershell had indeed found something.
The other puppies followed suit, their tails wagging with excitement and suspicion.
Hershell trying to run as fast as he could, his little legs a blur as he zipped down the hallway.
His siblings were hot on his heels, their barks echoing off the walls. He knew he had made a mistake, but he couldn't let them catch him. Not yet.
Meanwhile in the control room, Jerony can't stop chuckling as he watched the chaos unfold on the monitors. His puppies were getting more competitive by the second.
But he knew this was all part of their growth as spies. He leaned back in his chair, his fingers steepled under his chin.
"Let's see how they handle this," he murmured to himself.
