While it's not something Blubby would likely admit, he sometimes enjoys some... Rather childish things. One of his favorites is a pool of some kind of purple goop he found out in the ocean, a few minutes' walk from the shore. He's not sure what it is, but he does know it's safe to be in, and with the privacy being in such an isolated place brings, he can safely play without worrying about being caught.
As carefree as a child playing in mud, Blubby splashes around in the goop, stomping it with his paws or even just rolling in it, coating his body in the stuff - it was always easy for him to shake off, so he didn't mind getting "dirty" in this way. And, of course, he gets bubbles involved as well, either blowing some outside the goop and pushing them down into it or simply dunking his snout and puffing out some air. The goop adheres to the bubbles too, rendering them purple and a bit heavier, floating more slowly than normal.
The goop's consistency happens to be just right to act as a sort of underwater quicksand as well, and while it's easy to escape, the dragon sometimes lets himself sink into it. Below the surface it's extremely hard to see, even with his goggles on, though through practice he's become able to make out about a foot in front of his face. Down there, he tends to blow more bubbles to watch them very slowly ascend, as well as simply stroll around once he reaches the bottom about 10 feet down. For a little while, he'd mime a gasp when he surfaced as if he didn't still need to hold his breath - until the time he accidentally did it for real, ending up hacking out a lot of air and needing to rush for the real surface. Still, that hasn't dissuaded him from his goopy dives.
Today, in the interest of getting a better look at bubbles emerging from under the goop, Blubby's brought a big novelty straw with him. With one end in the goop and the other in his mouth, he bubbles away like always, watching his air rise up into view. As fun as all this is, he'd probably enjoy it more if someone could join him for it, but it's just too embarrassing to admit he likes this...
My character: Hey, I'm not one to judge. I'm willing to admit that I've done a few childish things myself. So I don't see why I should be offended by it
