From Flowers to Stars

By Sokz

It was a pleasant day as Mouie skipped through the field of flowers. Her home was tranquil, and the sun was a warm comfort that fed the plants she waded through and provided life to the world. She wore a smile upon her pink and cream face. Her ears bobbed up and down playfully as she danced through the field dotted with cutieflies, flabebes, and comfeys. Her blue eyes sparkled the same color as the sky.

She was an audino, and full of energy and a playful spirit. Her plans only encompassed a skip through the field which she called her home, but a feeling moved through her as she reached the top of one of the many rolling hills. She recognized the feeling and understood it as a rush of energy. A faint pinkish-red glow illuminated some of the flowers around her, and sparks of electricity surged from the ground. By pure luck, she had found an area filled with dynamax energy.

Mouie's smile only grew. One of her favorite things in the entire world was being big. She had done it a few times before, and always reveled in the newfound power she possessed. When she was dynamazed, even the biggest pokemon in the world couldn't stop her playtime and all the small sized ones became her toys.

She opened herself up and let the dynamax energy flow into her. It came in a huge rush of strength and energy. In a spurt, she grew to three times her normal size. Then ten times, then twenty, then finally she popped into the air and came down with a heavy impact that sent all of the flowers trembling.

At fifty times her ordinal size, she existed as a giant amongst the fields of flowers. She was a titan standing at over one hundred and fifty feet tall, her soft paws easily wide enough to smother entire scores of flowers with each step. As she looked off into the horizon, she saw all the details that were once hidden to her. Mountains existed far in the distance, with tiny villages and cities scattered around the vibrant landscape. Which should she play with first?

Playfully, she took a few steps forward. Pokemon fled from her paws as they descended on the field. A small farmhouse that had been built just on the edge of the ocean of flowers was not so fortunate. With her gaze on the far off horizon, Mouie didn't even realize that her foot was lifting over the construction.

She brought her paw down with a huge THUD! Wooden beans snapped, foundations cracked, and the entire house was reduced to nothing more than a pile of rubble under her foot. She looked down at what she had done with shock, but not with concern. After all, she had the power to reverse any destruction her playtime might cause.

What she didn't expect was the sudden bit of growth that came after the destruction of the house. It wasn't much, but she felt the power inside of her growing with every broken timber and shattered piece of furniture. She understood what that meant. The more she broke, the more she played, the bigger she would be.

This really was the best day she could have wished for!

So what should she play with? She looked around for something suitably fun and exciting, and soon settled on a tiny village that sat on the other side of a forest. Normally she would hesitate before moving into such a dense collection of trees and foliage as there was no telling what type of poison pokemon could be lurking in the shadows, but that was no longer a concern. She hopped to the edge of the trees, looked down at the canopy, then threw herself forward.

Her belly crashed into some of the trees right at the edge of the field and broke them easily. Their trunks snapped and splintered, then they were thrown onto the ground in front of her. Mouie felt the strength inside her increase.

Her footsteps echoed as thundering impacts as she jogged forward, trees falling with every huge stomp. Some were pushed over by her belly, some toppled when her kicking feet crashed into them, some were broken by the earthquakes that grew stronger with each little bit of destruction. Bird pokemon and bug pokemon alike took to the skies in a desperate attempt to avoid her path. Many more were caught under her plush paw pads as she ran through.

By the time she came to the other side of the forest, she had almost doubled her size. The village was even smaller by comparison, with a single house no bigger than the length of her foot. The perfect size to hop around.

With a huge grin, she jumped into the air and landed with both feet on one of the farmhouses closest to the forest. It disintegrated under the impact, being reduced to nothing more than shattered wood chips. She took another step, crushing a two-story home without any more thought. People were rushing out of their houses. Some stopped and stared at the titan that cast their world in shadow while others ran to their cars and tried to drive away.

With a playful giggle, she lifted her foot and smashed it into the single street that exited the town. Now, there was no place left for her little toys to go.

She spent the next few minutes hopping around the town, breaking each one of the houses and reducing the cars to hunks of twisted metal. Nothing was able to withstand her weight, and her size only grew with each bit of destruction. By the time she was finished, not a single structure within the town was standing, and each of the cars was a smoldering wreck. Her size had doubled again, and she needed a new toy to play with.

Her eyes turned towards the horizon again. There were more tiny villages situated around the region, but they were so small it would take only a couple of stomps to wipe them out completely. Not enough to entertain her. The city that existed on the coastline, however, promised more fun than anything. The tall towers sparkled in the afternoon sun and almost seemed to call her closer.

She made up her mind, the city was going to be her new plaything. With huge stomps, she made her way closer. Her feet were big enough to completely smash roads with unaware strength, and level even highways without her realizing what she was doing.

About halfway to the city, she even came across another tiny little town. She was too focused on the glistening buildings in the distance to feel the CRUNCH of homes or hear the screams of the people so far below her. The landscape was left riddled with the deep craters of her footsteps by the time she reached the outskirts of the metropolis.

Her body cast some of the city in shadow as she stood before it, towering over many of the buildings. Still though, others were bigger than her. At fifteen stories tall, she was one of the biggest pokemon to ever walk through the world, but that was still tiny compared to the one-hundred story mega-structures.

Luckily, she had another idea. A while ago she had found a mega stone. It was a beautiful little rock, and she carried it close to her, always. Now was the time to use it. She called to the stone and awakened its power, then felt the energy flow through her body. A glow enveloped her already radiant form and expanded it even further. She doubled in height again, then tripled. Her pink body glowed with angelic white, her ears fluffed, her eyes turned pink, and the curls of her ears were springy and full of joy.

Standing about as tall as the biggest towers, she was ready to play. She hopped forward into the midst of the city, her titanic feet easily crashing through a couple warehouses that sat at the edge of the metropolis. They crumbled as if they were made of dust. She hopped about, enjoying the crunchy feeling of concrete breaking apart with each movement. Bridges and roads were smashed by her presence, cars collided with her toes and were left in ruin, and her tail swung about and created hurricane force winds that buffeted everything lucky enough to avoid her body.

She paused when she heard a horn below her. A long train was chugging its way through the dense clutter of buildings, flying along the track between her legs as fast as it could manage. With blissful joy, she bent over and grabbed the last few cars of the train, then simply lifted it as if it was nothing more than a thin piece of string. The entire train came up with it, the engine's wheels still spinning.

Mouie giggled, then tossed it towards one of the giant skyscrapers nearby. The train spun in the air and tumbled over itself, the horn blaring right up until the moment it struck the skyscraper and crumbled its exterior. The shiny glass shattered and the metal supports bent. Smoke puffed out of the hole for a moment, then the entire structure collapsed under its own weight.

Mouie only grew bigger and she watched the destruction. Again, she reminded herself that none of this was tragic. Once she was big enough and had her fill of fun, she could simply undo everything that had happened.

With that in mind, she hopped forward again. Her eyes were set on a thin and tall tower that poked out above all the other buildings and skyscrapers. She was sure it had a funny name, since humans liked to give all of their big objects silly names, but it didn't matter to her.

She just wanted to mess with it a little.

The streets were a tight squeeze and she made no attempt to be delicate. Her belly crashed into the towers on either side of her and made them crumble to dust. More than a few of them toppled just from the tremendous quakes caused by each of her steps.

When she made it to the tall spire, she paused before it. This was possibly the one building left in the entire city that was bigger than her. She couldn't stomp it, but she could still give it a warm hug.

With her smile wide and joyful, Mouie embraced the skyscraper. She threw her arms around it and felt its frame compress when she started to squeeze. The foundation trembled as it struggled to hold itself aloft. Those still inside were thrown to the ground and plunged into darkness as the wiring came undone and the lights flickered off. Appliances and furniture were tossed around as she continued to squeeze, hugging as hard as she could.

Then the metal frame imploded. The glass that made up the exterior shattered, and the building buckled under its own mass. One moment she was embracing it, holding it against her belly and chest, then next it turned into a pile of crumbling dust to scatter around her feet.

Though she was disappointed that she couldn't hug the building anymore, the burst of size it gave her made up for the loss. And besides, there was still so much more for her to do!

Focusing all of her energy into her palm, she turned to the towers that still stood around her, then readied one of her favorite moves.

The energy formed a sphere in her hand, and she aimed it at the buildings close by. Then she unleashed it. A torrent of rainbow energy flashed into existence, flew out from her hand, and crashed into the buildings. They were destroyed instantly by the blast, their surfaces unable to withstand even the slightest touch of the blinding ray. Countless more fell as she spun around, the beam tracing a line through the entire city and decimating everything it came in contact with. Hundreds of buildings toppled, leaving only the small ones left standing.

By the time it was done, Mouie's height had doubled again. It was trivial to walk around the city after, crushing anything left standing under her paws and squishing the little bits between her toes. It had barely taken twenty minutes, but all of the city was reduced to a series of craters caused by her feet.

Mouie took a moment to admire her handiwork. This city had taken centuries for the humans to build up, and millions upon millions of hours of manpower. There were lives based on that city, people called it home, and now it was just a wreck that she had destroyed as part of an afternoon game. The warmest feeling enveloped her, like a hug from the power she held inside.

Then she blinked as something poked her butt. It didn't hurt, more akin to a prick from a thorn than anything, but it was enough to draw her attention. She turned, but didn't see anything on the ground. Another prick hit her shoulder, then one on her belly. Finally, she spotted the source. A tiny little airplane was flying around her, shooting missiles.

A bigger explosion hit her back. This time, the fiery blast was enough to leave a slight singe mark on her fur. Annoyed, she turned to see a battleship cruising around the harbor of the city with its guns trained on her.

She wasn't about to let that stop her fun. There was another tool she had yet to make use of, and now was the perfect moment. Terastallization.

As the human's weapons aimed for another volley, she concentrated on her own internal power. She gathered her strength, then released it in a wave. Blinding light enveloped her immense form and illuminated the world around her brighter than the sun ever could. When the light faded, her form was changed and far more glistening than it had ever been before. Radiant facets mirroring that of a gemstone were her body, each one a pink diamond in itself that was as beautiful as it was powerful. Above her head was a wondrous heart complete with a set of wings. It was almost as dazzling as her eyes as she looked around the world and took in the change of perspective.

With the sudden expanse of power came another surge of size. She had doubled once again, the boats and planes of humans now no more than tiny specks to move around her huge frame. She couldn't even see the tiny little jets anymore, and the battleships in the harbor were no more than toys bobbing along in a bathtub. There was a faint crack sound, then a small puff of fire lit up near her hip. She didn't even feel it, the battleship's full attack not even piercing the outermost layer of her gemstone body.

She chuckled at how feeble and pointless their attempts to stop her were. Her foot lifted into the sky, a surge of wind following it as the immense object moved at speeds that would have been nearly incomprehensible to those below. She moved the sparkling expanse of a paw over the battleship, the sun above casting a rainbow effect on the water as the light bounced around her body. Then she brought it down.

The impact was nothing less than cataclysmic for those below her. The boat was instantly destroyed and vaporized as the energy of her stomp was converted into pure destructive force. Around her paw, the water was forced outwards with such speed that much of it instantly vaporized, creating a fog of steam. What was left flowed violently onto the remains of the city as a tsunami that would sweep away anyone who was left.

Now, not even the human's most powerful means of defense meant anything to her. She was a god walking around in a world of ants, and everything that had ever lived or existed was literally below her. And now, she could have all the fun she wanted.

She took a step forward, moving towards the ocean. Again, her foot came down with an impact that would have made hurtling meteors look insignificant. The wave that was generated from the simple act of moving was disastrous as it sped across the ocean. She kept moving, walking across the huge expanse of water that had once been such an incomprehensible barrier to people. Now, it felt like nothing more than a puddle.

It only took a few minutes to cross the ocean. When she found land, she discovered a coastline that had already been demolished and obliterated by a series of tsunamis that wiped out any buildings or establishments. But that was fine, since there were always more cities deeper into land.

A glow came from the ocean behind her. Curious, she looked down to find a whirlpool forming near her leg. It grew in size and strength until it reached the size of a small city, then one single, minuscule form emerged from within the swirling vortex. The figure flew into the air and circled her leg, firing blasts of water and ice as it did so. She could barely even feel it.

The sky above glistened and a rainbow formed in the clouds. A second figure emerged, and though its rainbow feathers were beautiful, they weren't nearly as radiant as her own body.

Fire came from this pokemon, though it did nothing to stop her.

Then Mouie realized who they were. Lugia and Ho-oh, guardians of the planet and legendary pokemon who were trusted in keeping the world in balance. Well, Mouie has no interest in balanced things. With a powerful slap of her hand, she swatted both of the legendary pokemon back to the ground where they landed with a huge puff of dust. A single movement and they were finished.

Mouie lifted her foot, moved it over the space where they landed, then simply walked forward. The guardians of the world were no more. She forgot about them almost as quickly, her search for more playthings continuing.

She found a city within only a few more paces. It was a bustling metropolis on the banks of a river, filled with huge buildings, bridges, roads, buses, trains, and all those other silly things humans liked to build. Conveniently, the entire city center was about the size of her foot. She took aim, made sure that she was steady, and then brought her gemstone paw down onto the center of it.

The explosion that followed erupted all around her paw in a fiery inferno that would have made volcanos feel underwhelming. Swells of burning hot gas and rock were shot into the air only to rain down again as a swarm of deadly meteors. Everything under her paw was reduced to its finest base components, while everything nearby was eradicated by the violent energy that dissipated around the impact sight.

When it was done, she lifted her paw to find a burning, molten crater where the city once was. Nothing was left, not metal beams or rubble or any signs that civilization had even existed.

Under her feet, history was ground away.

She loved it. With a hop, she continued on her way, skipping across the continent and leaving horrible craters of burning earth in her wake. Each stomp made her grow larger as the destruction reached levels that would have been considered catastrophic. When she reached mountain ridges, she flattened them without thought. When a desert came into her path, she turned it to glass. Cities fell, forests were burned by her rainbow laser attack, and the oceans themselves began to boil as the force of her hops ripped them apart.

Eventually, she found herself reaching the upper limits of size on the planet. Clouds clustered around her waist, making it difficult to see the tiny people below her and all the fun things she was crushing below her feet. The oceans had a thick mist above them due to the boiling water. All of the big cities had been completely destroyed, and the humans had long since abandoned trying to stop her playtime. Even the really big explosions they sent at her, the ones that could have leveled an entire city, just tickled her gemstone frame.

She shifted her weight slightly, leaning more on her right foot. The molten conglomeration of homes, cars, earth, stone, metal, and plants oozed its way between her toes. That tickled too. If she wanted, she could continue skipping around the planet for as long as she'd like, but she was running out of fun things to do.

She had hugged buildings to pieces, crushed cities under her feet, sat on entire regions of the world, burned both the north and south poles with her rainbow beam attack, and laid down across continents to peer at the almost microscopic cities that had dominated their region of the world. So what was left to do?

Not much, she concluded. That meant it was time to expand again, and to reach a new scale of hugeness. There was one last trick she could use to breach the limit of size and make even this planet into nothing more than a toy to hold in her hand. A second terastallization. She focused again, this time taking power from the normal type within her. Again, the glow enveloped her body. Those people on the surface of the planet lucky enough to still be alive saw their world glow with a radiance it had never done before. If the sun itself had been lowered to within the atmosphere, it still wouldn't have shown as brightly as Mouie in that moment.

As she grew larger, Earth's gravity lost its hold on her. Unable to contain her any longer, Mouie was released into space, her form expanding to the size of the planet, then double, then triple. Only when she was nearly fifty times the size of the entire planet did the expanding nature of her change finally come to an end. With a shower of sparkles and a glowing twinkle of starlight, she took her most powerful form. A combination of dynamzing, mega evolution, fairy terastallization, and normal terastallization.

She was nothing less than a sparkling god. Her beauty had no comparison in the entire universe. The sun's lights bounced and refracted within the gemstones of her body and turned her into a rainbow of illumination, one with the power of reality at her fingers. She smiled warmly as she looked down at the planet she once called her home. Only a couple of hours ago, she had been a tiny and insignificant part of its reality, a little pokemon that could hardly shape the flower meadow she called home, much less the world itself.

Mouie reached forward and gently let the Earth rest on her hand. Now, she held all of existence in her palm.

She could be merciful, if she wanted. There were definitely a few humans left on the surface of the world that had survived her playtime. Though their world was one of molten footprints and a burning, churning ocean, she was sure they would survive if given enough time. Millenia would pass and they would rebuild, returning to the way they once existed. Pokemon would flourish, evolution would fill out all the gaps caused by her great extinction, and the Earth would recover.

But she was a god, and she didn't have to let that happen. Instead, a whim passed through her. Sure, there were millions of living things begging her and praying for her to let them be, but their combined existence was nothing compared to her smallest desire.

With the earth still held in her palm, she lifted her free hand above the blue and green sphere. One finger extended, a kaleidoscope of diamonds and pink gemstones that was about as wide across as a continent and as long as the entire planet. Slowly, she brought it down. As it breached the atmosphere, air turned to plasma as it was forced out of the way at speeds that were nothing short of mind breaking. The tip of her finger glowed from the heat and energy produced, even though she still thought she was going slowly.

For those still on the planet, it was like watching the sky itself falling towards them. Sandwiched between two entities larger than their mind could comprehend, they could do nothing but watch as the sky itself was set ablaze in a herald of a destructive force that had no equal.

The impact itself was a disaster that the Earth could never recover from. Her finger poked into the sphere and turned its surface to liquid, then plugged even further down until she reached the heavy iron core. Even this proved insignificant compared to her strength.

It was all ripped apart, the bonds that had lasted billions of years nothing compared to her fun little poke. Continents were thrown into the void while swaths of stone and metal rained down around her body. Many pieces began to orbit her, as if in submission to the greatest existence in the universe.

As the Earth ripped itself apart, Mouie smiled. Everything had been destroyed by her playtime, and she had never felt better. This was fun, and she had loved every second of it. She could turn everything back to normal in the blink of an eye, but for now she was content to bask in the glow of the sun and the radiance of her own existence.

Maybe there were even a few people still left alive on the floating chunks of Earth that looked up and saw her, a radiant being amongst the stars. It filled her with warmth just to think about it.
