It was somewhat unusual for a Blissey to show up so willingly within Johto’s National Park; yet, to the rather lucky trainers present for Sunday’s bug catching competition, there was one waltzing about in the open, not even making an attempt to hide from the gathered crowd. Wearing a small pendant just below her face, Infiny seemed to be owned by a trainer based on her warmth and friendliness to the group, but no one laid claim to her. So, was she just ripe for capture?
Before there was enough time to really think through the odd Pokemon’s appearance within park bounds, however, she was the one to make a first move on the confused trainers instead, happily bounding to one of the younger women in the group and gently nuzzling against her, cheek to cheek. Maybe this was just someone’s lost Blissey, because there’s no way she would be wild and this sociable to other humans, right?
Confused looks exchanged glances at one another, answering the unspoken question: there had been no lost Pokemon flyers anywhere within the nearby cities, not even in Goldenrod where they were most likely to appear. For a Pokemon as rare as a Chansey or a Blissey, that was especially unusual…
Finally, one trainer broke the awkward exchange, pulling out a Poke Ball to send out a Pinsir to battle against her. If no one was here to claim the special mon, then it was a free bounty to the group of already catch-minded trainers.
Like the first shot of war, this one move caused the rest of the trainers to rush and rummage through their belts. However, before they even had a chance to do that, the strange Blissey made its way over to the sent-out Pinsir, ready to give it a big hug!
The full-body hug from the carefree Pokemon was enough to cause confusion from the beetle receiving it. This…was a battle, right?
The strange act was enough to cause most other trainers to pause on their rush to battle the stray mon. Was it really here just to look for friends? It certainly had no interest in a fight, though that probably isn’t much of a surprise coming from the Chansey line. However, something still felt off. Why would she do this out in the open, in catching range of so many trainers?
The more perceptive ones among the crowd watching this unfold could notice a slight glow—an aura very similar to that of evolution—emanate along the Blissey’s body. However, it was obvious that she would not be evolving before them, lest a group of laypeople were about to lay witness to a brand new species of Pokemon!
Instead, the Blissey would begin to steadily alter in size, hugging the hardy bug. It seemed that said Pinsir was noticing the change before anyone else could, as he struggled and squirmed a bit harder while in the caring monster’s embrace. What started as a same-size hug was turning on its head, with the other’s soft body pushing more and more into them…
To those merely watching, it seemed at first to be an illusion, until that growth steadily increased, accelerating to the point of not being just a visual trick. All the while, the Blissey looked down at the much smaller bug as she reached well past twice her size already, smiling and hardly acting as if anything was amiss. She seemed far too calm about this for there to be any assumption that she didn’t expect this from the get-go. Just…what was this creature, then?
Eventually, the crowd began to thin and back away, with some soon moving to get out of National Park all together. As the growing force became large enough to hold the Pinsir she was hugging like a large teddy bear, even the trainer who had initially sent out his Pokemon for battle recalled it to its Poke Ball and began to run back towards the exit, having seen enough with the Blissey soon towering at a far more respectable 30 feet. Perhaps many of the trainers below would disagree and call it ‘frightening,’ though.
-----
Infiny pouted a little bit as she felt the Pinsir disappear from within her embrace, looking down to the ground to see that the former crowd of dozens had thinned out and nearly all disappeared. Were they really so scared just because her gentle, delicate form was getting too big for comfort? She giggled softly; she was unlikely to hurt a fly, let alone cause any destruction willingly!
Still, it was a little amusing to see how afraid everyone was just because she was doing a little bit of growing. Oh well, soon enough they wouldn’t have anywhere to ‘run’ to, so long as she continued to grow to her heart’s content! She went back to smiling down as the humans slowly transformed from peers to pets, from pets to dolls, from dolls to bugs. As she surged upward to a much more grand stature, looming large over the previously big National Park at almost 100 feet, she slowly stepped over and around the bounds of the landscape. Very little was going to stop her from doing whatever she wanted, and soon even those few things that could stop her would be nothing but stepping stones for her excitement, for her excess bliss, for her great grandeur.
Considering the fact that it was still late afternoon in Johto, the bright lights of Goldenrod City had not lit up quite yet, especially in the presence of the summer solstice and the lengthy stay of the sun. However, considering the approaching giantess making her way towards the center of Johto, the sun was likely to end up covered in shadow far sooner than many of the city’s residents might be expecting.
Infiny didn’t look to be large enough to cover all of Goldenrod in darkness at once, but she continued to grow just a bit more with every step, already filled with such gigantic, loving aspirations! Perhaps those two looked closer to an oxymoron to the steadily shrinking populace below her, but she’d prove them wrong, or, well, perhaps she’d prove them right. Only one way to find out, and those very denizens down below were going to end up as the guinea pigs to this haphazard experiment.
As expected, by the time she even made the few steps she needed in order to reach the edges of Goldenrod, she now stood another 50 feet taller, rising high and rivaling the likes of the radio tower and other large condominiums scattered around the metropolitan sprawl. Even at this great stature, she could see all the tiny humans beneath her—just a step away—and hear all of their confused yelps and screams. But what was there to be afraid of? She was just a measly Blissey, smiling down upon a city blessed by her presence.
While she was already quite amused looking down upon a civilization of ants, action was far more enticing than mere observation. With a greater spirit in her stride, Infiny decided to pay the larger radio tower a friendly visit, absolutely overflowing with intrigue and a desire to spread her love! While she could give those tinies below quite an overbearing hug, perhaps it could be better to place all her energy into hugging an entire structure, just full of those same frightened bugs that were undecided in what they wanted to do as a collective before her great soles.
One bounding step was enough, passing straight over hundreds of confused and scared citizens on her swift journey to the radio tower. She hadn’t grown any more yet, but her height was already enough to stand toe to toe, head to head with the constructed site. There were a variety of perspectives to garner among the many rising floors of the tower, from a position that wouldn’t even clear the tops of the enormous Blissey’s feet, to one that could see eye to eye with her and still be entirely ignored; humans were much too tiny to tell apart individually already.
Even those far away from the radio tower’s existence could easily quantify Infiny’s catastrophic might, though, as each ‘gentle’ step and bound cracked the foundation below it with ease and sent aftershocks throughout all of Goldenrod; already they were probably enough to register on a Richter Scale, even if not for much as of yet. Even nearby buildings were in no danger of collapsing…yet.
As she moved closer in to wrap her little arms around as much of the radio tower as she could, she could already feel another burst of energy ready to shoot her stature higher up into the sky. It was another swift burst—double the previous 50-foot one—to bring her to nearly double her size! Considering her hold over the tower, it ended up ripped straight out the ground and held much more firmly in her massive grasp.
No doubt, many windows were shattered and walls crumbled, leaving some hurtling into her soft belly, pressed between that and the building they were just previously occupying. Some were still ‘inside’ the building, merely in direct contact with a minuscule part of the Blissey’s large and growing body, while others were already pouring out and ending up lost, who knows where along the grand presence she was taking up.
Each passing moment, Infiny would continue to press just a little tighter against the hapless building, her smile growing as her soft-pink body was the center of the city, both figuratively and literally! She was suddenly impossible to ignore as she swayed from side to side, slowly collapsing more and more of the progressively weakening building. Of course, all that meant for her was that she would eventually need to find more to embrace and love. As for the dozens, if not hundreds of bugs ending up gracelessly scattered either upon her grand body or just under her huge, megaton stompers? A small price to pay for her loving endeavors.
With each squeeze, the Goldenrod radio tower whined and groaned with increasing intensity. Who knew such an unassuming Pokemon could cause such ruin without even trying? To the increasingly few people still within the dwindling structure, a loud, thunderous jingle could be heard, no doubt coming from the tightened necklace around the monumental Blissey. It rang like a bell, calling to those tiny little bugs. Why keep fighting to stay in this obviously-doomed building when they can join in on a community embrace of the loving, pink mass before them? Admittedly, it was becoming more and more difficult to ignore among bugs who progressively felt less and less safe within the radio tower, groaning and begging for this pressure upon it to end.
The giant Blissey starting this chaotic quest couldn’t be happier to see the fruits of her current labor. To stand so much taller than even the tallest tower in Goldenrod, to the point that she could hug it to pieces in the most literal sense, only added even more to her seemingly endless bliss. She could do this all day, into even the wee hours of the night; in fact, that was the very plan she had! Imagining how immense she expects to be by the end…it could make her squeal in excitement!
However, instead of squealing, she gave a far harsher bear hug to what remained of the radio tower, crumbling it all to dust as she surged forth again in size, certain to catch all the remaining scattered bugs within the ruins as she doubled in size again, up to a mighty 500 feet. Perhaps this could be considered true panic mode for the remainder of those still dwelling within the city limits of Goldenrod, as there were already ripple effects from that former size…
As if unintentionally showing off the power she now held over the rest of the city—perhaps the rest of the land, even—the light Blissey hopped in place, landing with the force of a strong magnitude 3 quake that was plenty enough on its own to cause notable structural damage, including the collapse of several residential districts nearest to the radio tower’s former resting spot. Aside from the tremors she could easily cause, she stood high enough for many of the smaller family homes to not even reach past the tops of her immense feet, even as a third sank underneath the destroyed city foundation. Her cries bellowed out far and wide, well past the limits of Goldenrod, as a warning cry to the rest of Johto.
Although, given her ease of dominating the region’s largest developed area, it was unlikely she would be willing to lower herself to deal with smaller towns and mini-cities. Another growth spurt, and even all of Goldenrod would likely be too far beneath her to be specifically concerned with. Her vast soles could cover up a noticeable area on their own, after all.
Infiny lowered herself down, crouching low to the ground and squinting at the tiny bugs still occupying the city she stood over. While many had scattered away, there were plenty of them that seemed to be sprawled over her stompers, crawling upward as frivolously as ants attempting to climb the Eiffel Tower. Was she really that popular to so many of them after she had done so much damage to the places where they lived? Fascinating, these little humans beneath her generous form. Well, she wasn’t going to stop them from doing as they pleased before her, especially as she moved to sit herself down upon the cityscape!
Another thoom rocked Goldenrod as the monstrous Blissey brought her bum down on the outclassed streets and buildings behind her. They barely needed to be touched before crumbling to dust, especially since many of those same buildings had already sustained major damage from the earlier giantess-caused quakes. She couldn’t help but giggle, knowing as well that so many of those same bugs loyally staying by her titanic body were trapped underneath her heavy weight! Well, that was love in a different sense, one could say.
She could rest here all day, if she so wanted, happily gaining more energy to grow to greater heights if she so pleased! With how much love she imagined she was getting from all the microscopic bugs upon her great body, she knew that said greater heights were merely a matter of when, not if. She hummed to herself, looking up to the clouds which still rose high above her. Sure, she was already quite large, but there were still many elements of this massive land and world that made her feel small; if she wasn’t large enough, then there were still beings who were unchanged by her generous, boundless love, and that just wouldn’t stand!
As if prompted by the very thought, Infiny’s body glowed once again, though this glow was far brighter than the previous ones prompting her former growth spurts. Perhaps it was a sign that this next one would fundamentally change how the world saw this little Blissey. No doubt, she was already considered a monstrous, powerful being as she stood, or sat in this case. With the right nudge in size—one spanning a half-mile rise, perhaps—she’d turn from simply monstrous to godly.
The world trembled deeply as this result was willed into existence. While 500 feet of Blissey seemed unstoppably huge, a growth spurt bringing her to over six times that measly height would make anyone question what it meant to be ‘big.’ Her sitting form, already having ruined a significant portion of the city below her, only caused more destruction as her form widened in girth and destructive power, reaching over 3000 feet high in but a few moments of rapid, steady growth.
Another cry rang out from the increasingly godly giantess, with no doubt that it would be heard throughout a vast majority of Johto. To say the humans were beneath notice at this point would be an understatement, as even if she knew exactly where a single one of them were, she wouldn’t be able to see them at all! They were much too puny to make an impact, yet thinking about their plights upon her grand godhood only made her smile even greater.
As much as Infiny enjoyed looking down to see how much she had grown, she also curiously looked up to the sky once again to see how much she had left to grow. Unsurprisingly, as even the lowest-flying clouds still rose well past her form, the answer was clear. If this were her end point, then this world is still far too big to her. She needed more growth, more love, more bliss to keep the cycle going!
However, it did seem as if her destructive acts had gotten the attention of more than just the puny humans under her; now that she stood over half a mile tall, even the mythical and legendary monsters guarding the world were beginning to take issue with this strange imbalance. It was easy for a vast majority of Johto to see, so that the likes of Ho-oh were becoming aware of the growing threat—literally, in this case—was not very surprising.
Something had to be done before this immense common Pokemon got any ideas. It seemed that job would be left to the rainbow phoenix itself, but by the time it made its way to the threat, she was far larger than it, to the point where it seemed little more than a fly before her. It was enough to cause second thoughts, even in the typically-fearsome legendary presiding over the region; however, it needed to stay strong and do what it could to stop this looming force. With all of its might, the Ho-oh charged a grand attack, a full-powered Sacred Fire that struck upon the surface of this Blissey’s underside with a brutal explosion.
While the phoenix’s signature attack certainly looked pretty, it did little to budge Infiny and seemed to do no damage; to the contrary, it seemed to actively detriment its ability to stop her, considering the fact that those very same eyes turned back to focus squarely on both the fruitless attack and the minuscule bug who dared to fire it.
And all the growing, loving Blissey could do is smile just as brightly as she’s been so far, moving far too rapidly for Ho-oh to react before it was taken up in a single hand and tossed haphazardly somewhere upon her body. It was a strange distraction to her; certainly, if even the great legendaries could do little to stop her, then wouldn’t that mean that she’s the only true legendary now? No, it’s likely that even that title seemed far too minor, compared to how tall and powerfully she would still stand.
Looking down again just in front of where she sat, there were still large areas of Goldenrod that had not been entirely destroyed by her mere growing existence before it. With a brief sigh, she bent herself forward to get a better look at one of these undamaged areas. Even at her immense size, she could still squint to just barely see a collective of moving dots within the narrow lines that were the busy roads curling around the many buildings. Were humans still standing by, waiting for her, or were they just that incapable of escaping her idle presence before the formerly high-standing civilization?
Well, regardless of which possibility it was, it didn’t matter much to the growth-addicted Blissey. She dug a hand down into the ground around the city chunk, slowly pushing forth to scoop the small mass of land gently over it and bringing it close to her adoring eyes. Even her ‘light’ movements were enough to cause total chaos, and by the time she even brought it to eye level, most of the already-damaged construction had fallen to ruin, all to the fierce gales and devastating earthquakes caused by such a casual act.
Oh well, there was still enough to embrace here, and what kind of boundlessly generous giantess would she be if she didn’t give that embrace without hesitation? Both arms swiftly converged together in a flurry of macro motion, as the landmass itself slowly cracked and crumbled, the very foundation of this lucky piece of Goldenrod turning back to the dust it was created from. Just a few squeezes from her supersized, super-strong arms were enough to destroy it all so effortlessly.
It seems that tiny cities weren’t too good at handling such immense love. Hopefully, all the puny specks that were the many humans who once lived upon it could appreciate her ascending, loving godhood.
As if on cue yet again, her body glowed and stretched out even further. Now, she would finally be able to not just scrape the clouds, but shoot straight past them, to shatter another growing milestone and stand several miles high! Even where the highest passing clouds flew, they would be forced to break against her obscenely huge form.
Now, Goldenrod was certainly buried under her pair of stompers, and she stepped about in place just to solidify this, smiling as she has throughout most of her bold, ‘little’ endeavor. Even the greatest city in Johto was little more than short grass underfoot.
With each spurt seemingly causing further exponential expansion within the loving Blissey, it seemed that there was no limit whatsoever! She could keep taking up greater and greater areas of the world to herself, progressively embracing and hugging them close to her soft belly, and leaving the microscopic beings that used to be considered humans to roam and worship her eternal body. It might be seen as a negative thing to be evicted so suddenly from the great blue orb they all knew as their planet, but she would become an even greater planet for them, a cream-pink expanse that would soon make their former planet look worthless.
Every landmass she would bring to her gigantic body would only increase her immensity all the same. With each piece she crumbled to dust, with each collection of thousands of specks to live upon her, potentially for all eternity, she would simply continue to grow. Hug, destroy, rehome, grow. It was a perpetual motion with no clear end goal aside from greater, grander, godlier growth.
Now, even her smallest spurts of growth could only be measured in the several miles her feet planted within such fragile waters would grow, as a way to somewhat visualize the dozens of miles the rest of her grew. Her own perspective seemed far less interesting, with things not shrinking nearly as much as they used to before her greatest growth spurts, but that was because she was close enough to complete her transformation as her own loving, adorable planet to replace her former home—the home of not just the tens of thousands in Johto but the several hundred thousands throughout the countless regions—in spectacular fashion.
Already nearing the 5000-mile mark, Infiny was no longer simply standing upon the planet, now that she was huge enough to nearly match it in scale. For a while now, she would just pick off entire regions of land, even digging in underwater to dig celestial holes within the weakening world, hugging them close and growing all the more. Her spurts were nigh-impossible for any measly human to measure; even millions of humans wouldn’t be able to match her individual spurts. From head to toe, however, they were spread far and wide, and they would soon have to find a way to come together and form some mini-civilizations upon her, and of course, it would all likely be to worship her as the trauma of their little eviction wore off and the adoration of their new, bountiful, generous living planet took place of that trauma.
Once she began to loom larger than the world itself, Infiny would slowly wrap her arms around the slowly-dwindling ball, letting this final goodbye hug last as long as it can. Eventually, her growth was no longer being measured in spurts, but in a constant, steady, increasing transformation, as if her body had become too large for mere spurts and would need to be measured in miles per second. Then again, there was no preference in how she should grow; she only cared that her loving form continued to grow and spread love to this planet. Perhaps, this could go even further than that, and she could be their solar system, their galaxy, their universe, all while becoming as bountiful as all the planets and stars she would take up with her loving, generous embraces.
In only minutes, the planet she squeezed into her was noticeably dwarfed, already taking up only half of her size. In another dozen minutes after that, it would be no larger than a beach ball, and the pressure from her constant bear hug began to take its toll on the planet. It wouldn’t be too much longer before it, too, would return to dust, and allow her to grow freely past that. Another several minutes, and the now marble-sized rock couldn’t take the force and finally popped to the pressure, letting out a seemingly potent explosion that also ended up entirely harmless to her gargantuan, galactic size. She cheered more with a huge smile on her face, taking in all of those who had previously been inhabitants of that inferior planet for herself, becoming much more than a mere goddess and the very reason for their shelter, their home, and their existence.
Even if Infiny would never feel the germs that were her loyal inhabitants, there would not be a single loving act by those worshiping her that would go unnoticed.
