Maiya is Native AMerican Choktaw meaning "to move forward"
Maiya is a newer member of the Sage Rider Tribe, brought into its ranks following the loss of one of the tribe’s previous members. Though officially accepted among them, her place within the group still feels uncertain at times. Some members remain cautious around her, unsure whether she truly belongs or if she can be relied upon when it matters most. Maiya is aware of that tension, but rather than letting it harden her, she tries to ease it with humor and optimism.
