Character Description

Tezzika spent much of her life chasing affection without ever truly understanding the cost of it. Originally brought into the manor as a servant for Esyridiel, she was never particularly ambitious or politically minded. She preferred simple validation—being praised, noticed, wanted. In a place filled with manipulation, status games, and hidden intentions, Tezzika stood out for how emotionally transparent she was. That innocence, or perhaps naivety, made her easy for someone like Kashus to pull close.

Background/History

What began as attention quickly became attachment. Kashus had a way of making people feel chosen, and for Tezzika, who had spent most of her life overlooked or dismissed, that attention became intoxicating. He drew her into his orbit with whispered promises, private meetings, and moments that felt intimate enough to convince her she mattered differently than the others. Tezzika clung to those moments desperately, even as the reality around her became harder to ignore.

The manor was never short on beautiful women, and Kashus’s attention was never exclusive for long. Tezzika took every shift in his focus personally. Every new fascination felt like a wound, every passing glance toward another woman another confirmation that she was disposable. Her resentment toward Morganna grew especially bitter—not because Morganna had necessarily done anything directly to her, but because Tezzika saw her as the embodiment of everything she could never compete with. Elegant, composed, powerful. In Tezzika’s mind, Morganna had stolen the place she desperately wanted to believe was hers.

Her relationship with Kashus eventually resulted in the birth of Cinnamon, a child hidden from the rest of the household and quietly kept secret between them. Though Tezzika loved her daughter fiercely, the secrecy surrounding Cinnamon became another painful reminder of her place in Kashus’s life. She was something hidden away, acknowledged only in private, never openly embraced.

Still, part of her stayed emotionally tethered to him far longer than she should have. That finally shattered when Katerina was born. To Tezzika, Katerina wasn’t just another child—she was proof that Kashus would continue building a life that never truly included her. The betrayal cut deeper than all the others because by then, Tezzika had spent years convincing herself that her connection to him meant something permanent. Instead, she was forced to confront the truth: she had only ever existed in the margins of his world. So she left.

Not dramatically, not with vengeance or grand confrontation. She simply severed ties and disappeared from the manor entirely, taking what remained of her pride with her. For the first time in her life, Tezzika chose herself over the desperate need to be wanted. It was messy, painful, and incomplete—but it was hers.
