Def 70 Speed 85 Total 530 This variant of Rillaboom is a complete anomaly to Pokemon Researchers. It seems to be hybrid with an unknown species, appearing much more animalistic. The strange ruby on its head allows it to change its type, as well as the types of its moves, giving it incredible versatility in battle. It also has been shown to change the size of its arms, the shape of its feet, as well as manipulate its hair. Trainer Jaeger reports the ruby on its head seems to cause this, hence its ability is called Ruby Shift. It is being studied intently by the Galarian branch of the Pokemon Healing Services group. Strangely, its stats change very little from a regular Rillaboom, with a slight increase in attack but slightly lower special stats, and a very small boost in speed. This has caused confusion among Pokemon Researchers, leading some to suggest the other parent may not be a Pokemon at all, only passing down some physical genetic quirks and the compounds that make up the jewel in its head. Trainer Jaeger has not encountered the parents of this particular species. The base moveset for this Rillaboom seems to be Drum Beating, Razor Leaf, Drain Punch, and Boomburst, based on their effects. Drum Beating is a Dark-Type move that creates a portal underneath the opponent, sending them to a pocket dimension temporarily while causing damage. Razor Leaf has been shown in three type variants: Shuriken Storm (Steel), Current Cross (Water), and Firework Frenzy (Fire) Drain Punch has been shown in three type variants: Night Knocker (Dark), Blaze Bash (Fire), and Sea Slam (Water) Boomburst has gained secondary status effects: Paralysis, Burn, and Confusion. |
