Advancing into his second year in the Guild Sect, which for Ion enters third year/level classes due to him being advance for the first year ones, the young Maguses delve into the deeper meanings of Psynergy and learn more about the sub-elements that can act as guiding principals for the main ones they are adept to being Time and Space in a celestial sense. The main one of these is that elemant of space as the sun, moon and stars can have a great effect on ones handling of their Æther within their own adept element but there are also those rare few who can manipulate those sub elements as well as their own. Ion is one such case, as he found a natural control over both sub-elements and apply them to his style. In respect to Time, Ion can draw in time and slow down things for himself and in some respect for others if he is holding hands with them, in a radius around him, while he moves like normal in this slowed time field, combining this with applying lightning to his legs (and sometimes arms) allows him to move at an even greater speed through the battlefield as he can move places in almost an instant which to the outside can seam like point warping, while dodging near impossible attacks, while landing in quick succession blows of his own multiple times on a single spot in an blink of an eye, an effect known as Timeless. This power though is quite hard to control and takes an extreme mental fortitude which means for now as a young adept, there is a limited amount of times he can tap into this ability within a given period, though he is learning how to more successions in, in each battle to hopefully it becomes second nature. Though the limit of the element of Time for Ion only applies to his spatial sense as thus it is only really him (and those who he clasps with) can move through the slowed time in his radius as others will continue to move at the same pace in normal time, things only really slow down for his eyes and he only has control for a timeless slow down within this sub-element, he has no knack for time acceleration or the effect of Overclock.

But be that as it may, the sub-element Ion has real power over is that of celestial space, it seamed like second nature to him as the flow of the celestial tides coursed through his very being, like he was part of their world and not his own. This is a subject Ion did do some of his own slight research with during his first year (second year classes) within the Guild Sect as he caught onto the power and pull the sun, moon and stars had on his Psynergy and was able to piece together the puzzle, with a little guidance from Sage Fenrir pointing him i a direction to look it up himself. This is how he figured out and crafted his own sun and moon sigils into his custom Psynergic Seal to alter the flow and effects of Æther within his attacks depending on the sigil applied. As a hand caster of Psynergy, Ion effectively split his body in half, placing a sigil on each side, the one of the sun on the right and the one of the moon on his left, as each hand could cast their sigil without even overlaying it on the mental seal drawn in the casting mind, with the sigil of the moon having a greater effect on him over that of the sun as he is a more moonlit star. The effect of this allowed the cunning fox to place one more trick up his sleeve, as a left handed person, Ion's casting hand defaulted to his right as the left was always taken up by his weapon of choice, mostly a sword as he was a spell sword magus but his also had a knack for the staff and would use it from time to time to help create greater effects for his Psynergy at a lesser cost, though this trick was more then sufficient then a staff in hand. With the sigil of the moon have a greater effect on him, Ion chose to place the sigil of the sun on his right side, effectively always casting, at least by default with the sigil that is more inferior to his being, which would in a sense cause his Psynergic attack to be less effective then if he casted them with a moon sigil and even without a sigil at all. This allowed him to greatly power up his spell sword abilities as the greater sigil for him has in is dominant hand by default and with his great mental fortitude, Ion could overlay the moon sigil on his spell seal in the casting mind instead of relying on it on his physical hand, though this in turn would make a cast like this have a moon sigil overlaying with the sun sigil due to the effect of having a physical sun sigil on his right hand creating a cast with a combined sigil which would greatly increase the power and effects of anything cast in this manner for someone like Ion who has celestial control, even more so then what a staff could provide though at the cost of a decent amount of more Æther then normal, but with a vast wealth of it to spare within him as he has the ability to break out in an Æther Leak, this is a strategy that a crafty boy like Ion was born to implement and what made him one of the few prodigies in the field of Psynergy.

But such as is the case, he is also not the only one who is gifted in this way, in fact even in his year there is someone that has their own gift for the stars and maybe even more so.....
