Lauren Beaurell is a relatively new character to the Legend of Ahya series, introduced formally in book 5, but she has gained some fans. Her connections to the Wolford family through Murana has enriched her backstory when it comes to her skillsets, her attitude towards delivering justice and how she treats others. She can be abrasive at times, but she does show loyalty to those who have earned her respect. Lauren has had a hard life and has lost most of her family over the course of her lifetime. She's had to adjust to many different lifestyles and jobs over the years, from being a stripper, to then a police officer to finally a mercenary for hire - she's quite diverse in her experiences. Living alone now, she has shut off her emotions as she struggles to live day by day.
