Rebecca Lane doesn't have very many friends she can be open about herself with being a supernatural being. Since Nina is in the know and lives with Rata. Rebecca asked Rata if she could take Nina out to an arcade for a day of fun? Rebecca would cover everything, food, clothes, toys and games. It would just be some fun and a chance to unwind for them both.
Nina was quite ecstatic to hear this and asked Rata to let her go along. It did sound pretty fun and Rebecca was being a total sugar momma with this.
Rata would normally not trust the little succubus given that Rebecca IS a Succubus. He also wanted to keep an eye on them while they go about their day. However its not like they can have a hulking demonic looking gargoyle towering over them at the arcade...
It was rather unusual for such an entity to offer so much without asking anything in return from him.
Rebecca then struck a Faustian deal with Rata that Nina would be under her protection during this and Rebecca would use her powers to turn Rata into a little dolly version of himself. He can release the spell at any time, but the pair would always be there with him.
A few hours later, after a generous feast of Taco Bell and a few games to pass time, Rebecca sensed a secret in one of the Arcade employee's mind.
It was about about a forbidden arcade game stashed in the back rooms of the arcade. By contract; It couldn't be shipped out and it couldn't be destroyed either.
With a little succubus way of convincing said employee later. Both Rebecca and Nina get to enjoy being the exclusive players of Polybius after years of sitting in a back room, under a sheet collecting dust.
Their seclusion and time together game Rebecca to talk to some one, girl to girl, sharing things she cant really share. Talking about things she's missed from her mortal life.
The carefree days of being raised under the lanes as an orphan. The only worries of going to school, play and sleep... Causing trouble here and there.
Nina listened on. Not quite sure what to say back about much of it. But Rebecca just appreciated having some one to talk to.
