This piece was inspired by a friend of mine, RowanZero. In the days prior to the creation of this image, he had shared an image of his character wearing the iconic suit from Dead Space, and seeing that sparked something in me.
I’m not usually the biggest fan of horror games, because my heart doesn’t always cooperate with jump scares and dark corridors. But Dead Space has always been an exception. I’ve played through the franchise, and there’s something about its atmosphere, its gameplay innovations, and the way the story unfolds that really stayed with me.
So I thought… what if my character stepped into that universe? And just like that, this image is my take on Dainen just arriving at the USG Ishimura, suited up and ready, not yet aware of what’s waiting in those silent halls. There’s something exciting about that moment before everything changes, you know, the calm before the chaos and the first step into the unknown.
I had a lot of fun imagining him there and bringing that crossover to life.
And if you’ve never played Dead Space, I genuinely recommend giving it a try. It’s intense, atmospheric, and absolutely worth the experience. I hope you enjoy this little sci-fi detour as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Got to play the remake! Definitely loved the setting and suits from the 3rd. Recommend the multiplayer if you ever get a chance. Im down to run it with you if you haven't experienced it.
