A quiet day in Serenity finds you sitting on the back of a sidewalk bench, enjoying the ambiance of the city and the sight of the passers-by. None of them seem to notice you – Fitting, considering you're about three inches tall! You decided to head out of the Micro District to visit the main part of town for a while. Being able to people-watch without being noticed yourself is a fun privilege for someone of your size!
But soon, someone pauses their walk close to your bench, sniffing the air. It's a very tall, male fruit bat, standing about six-foot-nine by your estimate, with quite a muscular build to them. His fur is a very dark grey, and his huge wings shift slightly as he sniffs the air again. He brushes the long, straight black hair from his face as he looks around, until his blood-red eyes focus right on you! He slowly licks his lips with his equally dark red tongue, running it over his visible fangs, before he approaches you with a grin.
"Well, hello there! Not often one meets a tiny in this part of town."
He sits beside you, grinning an almost cocky sort of smirk. "I'm Radar; who might you be?"
Still surprised at being spotted – Or rather, sniffed out – You pause for a moment before giving him your name.
"Nice to meet ya," he responds. "I wonder, though, what brings a micro out here? Don't you know it's risky being in the main part of town instead of your district?"
Growing mildly concerned, you answer that you were more or less just looking for a change of scenery for a bit, but you're ready to head home again.
The bat's tall ears perk at this, and he smirks wider. "Oh, that's too bad; I could give you a real change of scenery… If you think you could stomach it…"
Now, you're really becoming unnerved by his choice of words, and it isn't helped when you hear an audible rumble from his midsection. You try to back away from him, but the moment you move, he reaches his arm along the back of the bench, placing his hand in your way to keep you from getting away.
"Look, I'm hungry, and you smell like a tasty fruit snack. And really, this is your own fault for being out here instead of the micro district."
You take a breath, about to call for help, but the bat quickly grabs you in his hand, muffling any noise you make. He brings you close to his face and grins. "Ah ah, you must know the law – Tinies can explore the main town, but they do so at their own risk. And it seems that risk hasn't paid off for you today."
Before you can point out that the aforementioned risk doesn't protect him from committing unwilling predation, Radar chuckles quietly, muttering "Bottoms up!" as he opens his mouth widely in front of you.
You're presented with the sight of a deep red cavern of flesh beyond a row of sharp teeth. The bat's long tongue ripples eagerly, wanting to get a taste of what he's been smelling. His stretched cheeks are taut, allowing him to hold his maw open before you. You can see the ridges of his palate leading back to the softer velum, and the dangling uvula swaying idly above the flexing gullet, ready to swallow down his food once he's had a chance to enjoy it. Everything has a sheen of saliva; your scent has the bat drooling in anticipation of having you all for himself!
Without any further delay, he tosses you forward into his maw!
You free-fall for a moment before landing with a splat on his tongue, the muscle squishing beneath you as you make impact with it. He shuts his mouth before you can make a sound, leaving you trapped inside the humid cavern with no hope of escape!
The bat's long tongue presses you against his palate, rubbing against your tiny form. The bumpy papillae, normally meant for licking the juice out of fruit, drag against you as he tastes you – And the happy rumble from his throat shows he's quite enjoying your flavors!
Not exactly comforting, considering what it'll mean for you, but it's something at least.
But then, something catches your attention. A stern voice sounds from outside the bat!
"Radar?"
He freezes, then stuffs you into his cheeks so he can speak. "Yes, officer?"
The police are here! You breathe a sigh of relief.
"Who do you have in your mouth now?"
Radar hesitates, then answers "Nothing! I mean, no one…"
You call out for help, and though Radar tries to shut his mouth, you can hear the officer sighing.
"Come on, Radar; we've already warned you about this. You know you have to spit them out, or else you'll be fined."
The bat lets out a quiet whine before responding "Alright, alright…"
You smile, ready to be let out… But instead, you hear a bit of shuffling, then the sound of money being counted.
"Five hundred, right?"
"Yep."
Your heart drops. You never actually checked the penalty for unwilling predation in Serenity, and always assumed it would be something severe. But a five-hundred-dollar fine? That's all your life is worth?
"Alright, here you go, officer."
There's a moment of silence, then you hear the cop's voice again. "Everything is in order. Carry on – And please try to be more careful in the future. I don't want to have to stop you again."
"Thank you, officer. Have a good day."
"You too."
You try again to yell for help, but the bat pulls you to the back of his mouth, having had his fill of tasting you and evidently not wanting to risk being fined a second time. You feel the dangling uvula smack softly against you as he tilts his head back, making you slide into his gullet, before he takes a single deep swallow to send you down his esophagus!
You squirm, struggling as much as you can against the powerful muscles, but you make no headway as the rippling contractions of peristalsis work you deeper and deeper into Radar's body. All around you, you hear the squishing of his esophagus, the thumping of his heartbeat, and the whooshing of air flowing in and out of his lungs – Not to mention the eager growls and rumbles emanating from somewhere below you. His stomach is ready for you, and you can't do anything to stop the inexorable pushes of those esophageal muscles as they guide you toward that chamber.
Soon enough, you press against a tight ring of muscle that holds taut for a moment before relaxing, letting you squish through and drop into the bat's stomach with a splat into a shallow puddle of fluids at the bottom. You sputter, pulling yourself to sitting, looking around the deep red organ – Too preoccupied to bother questioning how you're able to see in here.
The folded rugae of the walls shift idly, glistening with what you presume to be a mix of swallowed saliva and digestive fluids. The air, strangely, smells like spiced cinnamon applesauce as opposed to anything disgusting; a small positive that you wouldn't be choking on the stench of bile and vomit.
You feel your surroundings shake twice as the bat presumably pats his belly, and you hear his voice immediately afterward. "You alright in there, bud?"
You try to shout out something profane about his mother, but you can't bring yourself to do so. You just sigh and slump against the rubbery flesh as it cradles you, kneading those fluids against your form.
"Look… If it's any consolation, you tasted great. Well worth the five hundred bucks."
You turn and punch the wall of the stomach as hard as you can, which only accomplishes you hurting your wrist. Radar merely huffs indignantly in response to your action.
"Jeez, rude… At least try to be grateful for the compliment…"
As the fluids soak into your form, you feel a warm tingle spreading through you, prickling softly as though you were sitting too close to a campfire. It makes you feel like you could just melt away – Which, you realize, is exactly what's happening.
The stomach gurgles as you soften, digesting away bit by bit, and you sigh gently and hold up a rude gesture to Radar as you fade out. It won't do you any good, of course, but it does make you smile as you drift off, melting away as nothing more than an expensive snack for the bat.
