It's late in the evening, and you sit excitedly in your home, looking forward to a delivery you've been expecting all day. You've been feeling a bit lonely, so you ordered a plushie online, advertised as a cuddly friend for all ages and promising to keep its recipient cozy while they sleep. It may not be much, but it's something at least.
Just then, you hear a knock at your door!
You hurry to open it, but the delivery driver is already gone, their vehicle nowhere in sight. Typical.
But what next catches your attention is the massive box on your front porch, almost half as big as you are! You didn't order anything else aside from the plushie, and you don't recall it mentioning anything about it being big, other than advertising it was, quote, 'very lifelike'. You suppose, though, that life-sized isn't too far off from that point.
With much effort, you bring the box inside and carry it to your bedroom, where you eagerly open it up, revealing a huge plush black bear! As advertised, it's designed more like a real bear than a stylized teddy – And now that you have it out of the box, it's nearly as big as your entire bed! You chuckle, figuring it'll make for a decent weighted blanket.
The rest of your evening passes without fanfare, and soon enough, you change into your sleepwear and head to bed, shutting off the lights. Climbing underneath the huge plushie, you let its weight press down on you, lulling you into a cozy sleep.
Though your sleep doesn't last for long, as you're gently roused by some movement on your face. It feels like a blanket shifting, but you didn't have a blanket over you; just the bear. You tilt your head, but you're too tired to bother investigating.
That is, until you feel it again. It definitely feels like smooth, soft satin against your cheek. And as you aren't moving, it has to be coming from something else.
You reach over to your bedside table, but find you can't move your body too much, as if something is holding you in place. But again, the only thing with you is…
The plushie.
You fumble to turn on the light, just within reach. As you blink your eyes once the light reaches them, you're greeted by the sight of your bedroom, just as it was when you went to sleep. Nothing seems out of the ordinary at first; you're still in bed, being held by your bear plushie, and-
Being held?
The moment the thought crosses your mind, you feel its paws shift subtly but firmly, pulling you back to the center of your bed beneath the large toy, holding you so you can't escape. Immediately afterward, you feel the smooth satin dragging against the side of your face once more.
Looking up, you freeze as you find the bear's muzzle open – You didn't even know it could open – And its soft, dry tongue lowering to stroke the front of your face now. There's no saliva, but the cool fabric glides smoothly over you, caressing you as though you were being licked by a dog.
Before your tired, half-awake mind has a chance to truly process what's happening, you watch as that muzzle opens wider, showing off the fabric teeth, the broad satin tongue, and the equally soft-looking throat in the back of its mouth. Though everything is dry, it's all moving subtly; the tongue ripples and the gullet flexes, much like you'd expect a real bear's mouth to be.
The plushie leans down, bringing your face into its maw, and its paws move to hold you behind your shoulders and back. As you feel the soft teeth pressing against your forehead and lower jaw, you're finally able to react to what's happening. But although you squirm in its grasp, its grip is surprisingly strong, and with the awkward position you're in, you can't dislodge it or pull yourself free. All the same, the bear holds you tighter as it brings your entire head into its mouth, guiding you toward the throat just ahead of you.
Just as you take a breath to try and call for help, whatever good it would do in your empty house, the plushie pushes you forward into the snug tunnel of its throat, before the fabric tightens and pulls on you. The bear may be just a plush toy, but that doesn't seem to impede it from swallowing you!
It uses its paws to push you deeper into its mouth and esophagus, the rippling satin tube squeezing and pulling you along with every silent gulp the bear takes. The only sounds you can hear are your own breathing and heartbeat, and the faint dragging of fabric against your ears as you're brought deeper and deeper inside your plushie.
Once it works your shoulders into its throat, you realize nothing will stop it from getting you all the way down, now that the widest part of you is in its gullet. Still, you squirm weakly, but its paws keep you steady. It wants you inside it, and it won't be denied what it wants.
With nothing you can really do, you try to calm yourself, your tired mind keeping any semblance of true panic from reaching you. You instead take in your surroundings, finding the satin to feel surprisingly comfortable against you, gliding smoothly along your form as you're swallowed deeper. And the warm weight of the plushie still lulls you, no doubt contributing to your dazed state. You know you'd be screaming and thrashing if you were more awake, but as it is… This feels almost seductively cozy.
Another deep swallow works your waist into its jaws, and you feel your head slipping into a more open space. You've arrived at the bear's stomach.
The walls, somehow, feel even softer, almost fluidlike as you slip into the chamber bit by bit. The air is warm and smells like fresh linen, keeping your mind lulled as you begin to curl up inside the belly, the loosely folded rugae expanding like spandex to allow you to fit within. You can't help but think it feels like the softest hammock, bed, and sleeping bag you've ever felt, all combined into one comfortable tummy.
You can feel your legs being swallowed down, the tongue licking your feet before sending them down as well. Soon after, you curl up completely within the stomach in a loose fetal position, with enough room to shift comfortably onto your side. The walls shift softly, though not nearly as much as you imagine a real animal's stomach would; it feels like a soothing caress over every inch of your body, easing your mind and guiding you back to sleep.
And as a yawn escapes you, you realize you're happy to give in. You're still quite tired, and there will be time to figure out a way out once you're more awake.
Though part of you wonders if you'll even want to try to escape. Perhaps the bear will let you out on its own. Or perhaps it'll keep you for as long as it can. Maybe it'll even try to digest you. Could it digest you?
Ultimately, though, you don't know what its plans are, and frankly, you don't care. It all feels too good to bother questioning it.
As you settle in and drift off, you feel it shifting to rub its full belly, and you chuckle and rub the walls back, taking comfort in the knowledge that the 'keep its recipient cozy while they sleep' part of the advertisement was certainly no lie. No matter what may happen later, you know you'll be sleeping more soundly tonight than you've ever slept before, tucked away deep inside your plushie.
