Bonus Scene #1
Takes place during Chapter 3 itself
Ryan POV
“I’m bored, Ryan,” Kae complained on the sofa, lying down on it.
“Well then, why don’t you get a job then?” I pressed down against my mouse, a little irritation forming from my nerves.
“But that’s boring,” She yawned, shuffling within my sofa. All of her orange fur got on it. It had been about two weeks since she moved in. And yes, she had been doing the chores like she promised. I was starting to believe if she didn’t have any chores, she would melt into an orange puddle of pure laziness. But she did save my life so who was I to judge?
She sat up right to look at me, “Why don’t we have some fun instead? You know the only type th-”
“No thanks.”
“What, why? I wasn’t even done talking.”
I sighed. Pointing at my laptop, I suppressed the blushes from surfacing up, “Cause turns out filling up applications every day kinda kills your mood.”
“But a little gambling wouldn’t hurt anyone.”
“Then gamble on your phone or something. Heard the mar-”
“That isn’t fun, Ryan,” She groaned, “A gamble is supposed to be something more intimate, you know?”
I rolled my eyes, clicking to apply for my next job, “Uhuh and what we did was intimate?”
“I mean more than just pulling levers at a slot machine or pressing buttons on the phone.”
“Fair but I have nothing to bet.”
A smirk showed itself on her muzzle, “Just bet a favour. Imagine if you win me, I could be all yours at night.”
“And why would I want that?”
“Caught you glancing at me, Ryan.”
“N-No! Yo-you’re just in the way. I swear, I nev-”
“Whatever you say,” She pointed behind me, “By the way your feathers are fanning.”
Tucking them in, I turned my attention to my screen, “Yeah, you ain’t getting any bets from me before I get a job.”
“That’s a slur, Ryan. Can’t beli-”
A sudden notification on my phone reminded me that I had an interview soon, “Ah got to go now,” Grabbing my briefcase and leather shoes, I rushed towards the door, “See ya at night, Kae.”
She waved me goodbye, before muttering something about ‘cooking’.
