There has been some rising sentiment in the Legend of Ahya community to see some happiness with the primary, prominent gay couple in the series. Finding each other by happenstance when Fey Darner (the deer) saved Finnley Lillibard (the otter) from some bullies at school. What started as a friendship turned into a lifelong partnership where they learned to trust and love each other. They turned to mercenary work together at Finnley's insistence, and although they kept relationship clandestine from many outside observers, they were unabashed behind closed doors. They go through so much tradegy and hardship in my series, with Finnley getting the worst of it. Readers and fans wanted to see these two during a happier time in their lives and here's what I came up with.
