Episode 16: Flight trip to Indonesia
A week later, the day that The Pups Gang puppies had been waiting for was finally come.
That night, on a bright, moonlit Saturday night, the puppies and their owner, Jerony, were at Adventure City international airport.
At that time, they were in the airport waiting room, waiting for their plane to arrive. They don't use commercial airplanes, they have their own private jet, they always used it for their secret missions.
"Master?!?? When will our jet plane come?!" Hershell asked, his eyes wide with excitement.
He had never been on a plane for a long time, and the thought of flying filled him with both wonder and a hint of nervousness.
"Around fifteen minutes ahead... Why?!?? Are you need a diaper change?" Jerony teased, ruffling Hershell's fur gently.
Hershell nodded his head, his eyes still glued to the clock above the gate.
"Yeah... I needed that, can you help me?" He asked shyly, his tail between his legs.
"Anna... Could you take your little brother to the bathroom and help him out?" Jerony asked, smiling at Hershell.
"Of course, Master," Anna said, standing up and nudging Hershell gently, her eyes filled with understanding, "let's go, Hershy."
While Anna and Hershell were away, the other puppies chattered among themselves about the fun they would have in Semarang. Luna talked about the beach and the sand between her paws, while Seca spoke excitedly about the possibility of seeing new and different types of cars in the city.
"Puppies... Stay here, right... I'll go to the boarding gate and check if our flight is on time," Jerony instructed, his voice filled with excitement as he picked up his backpack.
Maxtone looked around nervously as they watched their master leave.
"You know guys... It's been a long time since the last time I flew Master's private jet," he said, his tail wagging slightly.
Maxtone really excited, because he knows that he was an air spy puppy, he was really very trained to fly an airplane, not just any plane but the fastest plane that exists, a jet fighter plane.
"Yeah you do... But I tell you... Don't fly our big plane like you fly your fighter jet," Svara teased Maxtone, her eyes sparkling with mirth.
Maxtone barked in laughter, "I promise, I won't do a barrel roll or loop-de-loop unless absolutely necessary."
"Remember, we're not in a mission, we'll just enjoy the trip," Luna reminded them, her tail wagging slightly as she glanced at the boarding gate where Jerony had disappeared.
Not long after that, Anna and Hershell returned from the bathroom, with Hershell looking much more comfortable in a fresh diaper.
"Where's Master?" Hershell asked, his voice filled with anticipation as he looked around the waiting area.
"Don't worry, Hersh," Luna assured him, her eyes on the boarding gate. "He's probably just checking if everything's ready for our trip."
But a few moments later, their pup-tags flashed and Jerony's voice came through, "pups, go to the gate 4 now... Our jet will be out of the hangar soon."
Hearing that, the puppies leaped to their feet, their excitement palpable. They followed the direction to gate 4, their paws clicking on the shiny airport floor. As they arrived, they saw the super large silver jet plane.
It was Jerony's private jet, Boeing 979 MX8, painted with their gang's logo, The Pups Gang, on the tail. It is Boeing's largest plane, designed for secret missions and VVIP travels.
The jet looked powerful, even when it was parked. The puppies' eyes widened as they stared at the jet plane that was to take them on their adventure.
"Woooow," the puppies exclaimed in unison.
"I couldn't believe it, I'll fly that flying beast again," Maxtone murmured under his breath, his tail wagging in excitement.
"Alright, pups... Let's go," Jerony said, leading the way to the boarding gate.
The excitement in their eyes mirrored their master's own as they approached their private jet. The jet's engines hummed softly in the background, a promise of the adventure to come.
"Maxtone... Go to the cockpit... I know you really want to," Jerony said with a chuckle, watching as the German shepherd puppy practically bounded towards the plane.
Once they were on the jet plane, they could see the luxurious jet cabin, which was usually filled with passenger seats but had been transformed into a super luxurious room, complete with plush beds, and even a mini fridge stocked with their favorite foods.
Jerony had made sure that their flight to Indonesia would be as comfortable as possible.
"Master, as far as I remember, our jets weren't this big before!" Svara exclaimed, her tail wagging as she took in the luxurious surroundings.
"It's an upgrade," Jerony said with a wink. "It's not just for show... This jet is packed with the latest technology, even now, it has a dog park inside!"
"Really?!??? A dog park inside the jet?" The puppies' eyes widened in amazement as they followed Jerony through the cabin.
"Yeah, it's a new feature... You'll love it," Jerony said, his voice filled with amusement at their reactions.
He led them to a door at the back of the cabin, which slid open to reveal a small, enclosed space with fake grass, a little fountain, and a bunch of chew toys scattered around.
"This is it," he announced proudly.
The puppies rushed inside, their paws slipping on the faux grass as they explored their new playground. Svara dashed to the pool that full of chew toys, while Seca began chasing his reflection in the glass walls. Luna and Anna took turns jumping on the beds, their laughter bouncing around the cabin.
"Let's start our trip... Maxtone, go now... I'll stay here with them," Jerony said, watching as the puppies explored the dog park.
Maxtone nodded and then he trotted to the cockpit, his tail wagging with excitement. The cockpit was sleek and high-tech, with rows of buttons and screens that lit up the small space with a soft glow.
"Woohoohoohoohoo... I'll fly you again my second girlfriend," Maxtone whispered to the cockpit, his eyes shining with excitement as he settled into the pilot's seat.
He had missed the feeling of being in control of such a super powerful jet engine, the rush of adrenaline as the engines roared to life.
Maxtone then took the headset and put it on, then he activating the communication device and talked to the control tower, "Control Tower, this is Maxtone... The pilot for TPG air-flight 9907... Requesting for takeoff clearance at runway 27."
"Roger that, TPG air-flight 9907... You're cleared for takeoff," the voice from the control tower responded.
Maxtone's heart raced as he looked over the controls, his instincts kicking in. He had been trained for this, but it had been a while since he'd flown a jet, especially one as fancy as this.
He took a deep breath, and with a confident nod, he began the takeoff procedure.
The engines roared to life, the vibration rumbling through the jet as it started to move.
Svara, who knows where she came from, suddenly was in the cockpit, standing behind Maxtone and watching him with a mix of excitement and worry, felt a sense of pride as she saw the runway zooming by them.
She knew he could do it.
As the jet plane stopped on the runway, preparing to take off, Maxtone took a deep breath again and focused on the task at hand. He had been trained for this, and he knew he could handle it.
"The runway is clear, TPG air-flight 9907," the control tower's voice echoed in Maxtone's headset.
His paws gripped the controller tightly as he pushed the throttle forward, feeling the jet's power surge beneath him. The jet engine grow louder, and the plane began to race down the runway, picking up speed with every second.
"Here we go!" Maxtone barked into the headset, his heart pounding in his chest.
The end of the runway grew closer, but the plane's speed just kept increasing. The other puppies, who had come to the cockpit to watch the takeoff, looked at each other with a mix of excitement and concern.
With a final push, the jet's nose tipped upwards, and they were airborne. The city lights grew smaller and smaller as they ascended into the night sky. Jerony and the other puppies watched as Adventure City grew into a sprawling patchwork of lights below them.
Maxtone's paws worked the controls with surprising ease, a grin on his face as the jet climbed to cruising altitude. He had missed the thrill of flying, the feeling of being master of the skies. The other pups cheered from the back as the plane leveled out, their tails wagging in excitement.
"Thanks, everyone," Maxtone grinned as he saw his friends' excitement.
"Okay, everypups... Let's enjoy our flight trip to Semarang," Jerony called out, his voice filled with excitement.
"Um... Master, can I stay here with Maxtone?!??" Svara asked, her eyes wide with excitement as she stared at the controls.
"As long as you don't touch anything, Svara," Jerony said with a chuckle, ruffling her fur. "Maxtone's got this under control."
"I got it, Svara," Maxtone said confidently, his paws dancing over the instruments with surprising grace.
"You can sit here," he indicated the co-pilot seat, "but remember, no touching."
Svara nodded eagerly and hopped into the seat, her eyes glued to the array of buttons and dials. She had always been fascinated by the technology that made planes fly and now she had a front-row seat to the action.
After Jerony and the other puppies leaving the cockpit, Svara sighed with excitement.
"Maxtone, tell me everything about fly the jet!" she exclaimed.
"Okay, okay... First, you need to understand the instruments. This one here is the airspeed indicator, this is the altimeter, and that's the artificial horizon..." Maxtone chuckled as he pointed out each one with his paw.
Svara's eyes lit up as she listened to Maxtone's explanation, absorbing every detail like a sponge. The thrill of flying had always intrigued her, and she felt a sense of awe watching Maxtone handle the jet so skillfully.
"Then, this strange button?!?? What is this for?!" Svara asked, her paw hovering over a mysterious red button.
"The less you know, the better," Maxtone said with a mischievous wag of his tail. "But for now, let's just say it's for emergencies only."
Maxtone knows that actually the red button is a button to turn on the weapons system, but he keeps that information to himself. It's not something that Svara, or any of the other pups, needed to know.
"Now, let's get comfortable," Maxtone said, "we've got a long flight ahead of us... Don't disturbing me when I'm flying."
Meanwhile, in the cabin, the other puppies had settled into their plush beds, watching movies and playing games on the built-in screens that dropped from the ceiling. Luna had found a chew toy that she was busy gnawing on, while Seca had somehow managed to dismantle one of the armrests and was now engrossed in trying to put it back together.
Jerony leaned back in his chair, watching his pups playing and enjoying themselves. The jet's hum was comforting, a constant reminder that they were on their way back to a place that held so many memories for them all. He couldn't wait to show them the sights of Semarang again, and he knew the trip would be filled with excitement and nostalgia.
The flight had been going on for almost three and a half hours and their jet had already entered Asia.
Meanwhile, in the cockpit, Maxtone had been flying steadily, keeping an eye on the instruments and occasionally glancing out the window at the stars twinkling in the vast sky.
Svara, who had been listening to his every word earlier, had finally fall into a light sleep, her head resting on the co-pilot's chair.
Maxtone glanced at his girlfriend, Svara, with a fond smile. She looked so peaceful, her chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. He couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in his ability to keep them all safe and on course.
But even the best pilot puppy needed a break, and he knew that the jet's autopilot could handle the rest of the flight without any issues.
So, he activate the autopilot and stood up, stretching his legs. He walked into the cabin to check on the others. The puppies were all sprawled out on their beds, some snoring lightly, while Jerony still watched over them, a soft smile playing on his lips.
"You don't sleep, Master?" Maxtone asked, his voice low so as not to disturb the sleeping pups.
"Can't," Jerony said, his eyes still on the monitor. "I need to keep an eye on our flight path... Plus, I have some work to catch up on."
He held up a stack of classified documents, his brow furrowed in concentration.
"Ouh, right... Um... I have to use the bathroom," Maxtone said, his voice a mix of urgency and embarrassment.
He had been so focused on the flight that he had forgotten about his basic needs.
"Okay... But wait... Who is controlling the jet now?" Jerony looked up from his papers, his eyes slightly widened with surprise.
"Autopilot, Master," Maxtone said, his tail wagging slightly. "It's all set. We're on a straight course to Semarang."
Jerony nodded, his expression relaxing.
"Good job, Maxtone. But remember, don't go too far," he said, his eyes returning to the documents.
Maxtone nodded and made his way to the back of the jet, passing the sleeping puppies and the well-stocked mini-fridge. He found the bathroom, which was surprisingly spacious for an aircraft, and took care of his business.
Afterward, he took a moment to look at himself in the mirror. His fur was ruffled from the flight, but his eyes still gleamed with the excitement of flying.
After using the bathroom, Maxtone walked back to the cockpit, feeling refreshed and ready to take over the controls again. As he approached, he noticed something peculiar on the radar screen.
"Oh no... Storm clouds ahead!" Maxtone barked, his eyes glued to the radar screen.
He had returned to the cockpit just in time to see the looming grey clouds appearing on the jet's path.
Maxtone then turned on the intercom, "Master, we've got a situation... There's a storm up ahead," his voice was a mix of concern and urgency.
Just a few moments after that, Jerony come into the cockpit with a serious look on his face, his eyes immediately going to the radar screen.
"Maxtone, can you handle this?" he asked, his voice calm but firm.
"I'll try my best, Master," Maxtone said, his ears perked up with determination.
He quickly switched off the autopilot and took hold of the controls.
He then looked at Jerony and then said, "alert all the pups, we might need to prepare for turbulence."
Jerony nodded and dashes out of the cockpit to alert the other puppies.
Maxtone then wake up Svara, "Svara!!! Wake up!" he barked, his voice filled with urgency.
"Ouh... Ugh... What happened?" Svara yawned, stretching her legs and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
"Help me control the jet, Svara!" Maxtone exclaimed, his eyes fixed on the approaching storm clouds. "There's a huge storm ahead of us!!!"
"What!!!! But... I never flew a plane before! How can I do that" Svara protested, her eyes wide with alarm.
"This is your time... You've listened to an explanation from me before, now it's time for you to help," Maxtone said, his voice filled with urgency as he gestured to the controls.
"O-okay... But don't mad at me if I mess up," Svara said nervously, her tail tucking between her legs.
"Forget that... Now, grab the controller tightly and follow my lead," Maxtone instructed Svara, his voice firm and focused.
Together, they faced the looming storm clouds ahead, their hearts racing with a mix of excitement and fear.
The lightning in the distant sky grew brighter and more frequent as they approached the storm. The wind began to pick up, causing the jet to wobble slightly.
Svara's eyes darted between the instruments and the storm clouds, her paws shaking slightly as she held onto the co-pilot's controls.
The jet body started to shake as they entered the storm, and the lightning outside looked like it was trying to reach them, painting the cabin with a stark, flashing blue light. Svara's eyes widened with fear, but Maxtone's remained focused on the instruments. He had flown through worse, but this was her first time.
"Are you sure we'll safe... I really don't like this, Maxtone," Svara whined, her eyes wide with fear as the plane bobbed and weaved through the storm.
The turbulence was intense, causing the jet to jolt and shake.
"Keep calm, Svara," Maxtone barked, his voice steady despite the turbulence. "We've got this... Just follow my lead."
Maxtone's paws moved deftly over the controls, adjusting the jet's course to avoid the worst of the storm. The wind howled outside, the sound echoing through the cabin.
"Pull!!!" Maxtone barked out the order as they approached a particularly nasty looking cloud.
Svara's paws tugging at the control stick with all her might. The jet climbed sharply, the g-forces pushing them back into their seats.
"Turn left now!!!" Maxtone shouted over the din of the storm, his eyes never leaving the radar.
Svara's paws trembled as she yanked the controller to the left, following his command. The jet tilted, and the storm clouds swirled menacingly around them.
Meanwhile, Jerony had successfully took all his puppies to the cargo hold, which had been reinforced to serve as an emergency shelter during turbulence. The puppies, though initially confused and scared, followed their master's instructions without question.
"Master... I'm scared!" Hershell's voice quivered as he clung to Anna's fur in the cargo hold, his eyes squeezed shut.
Anna licked his forehead gently, trying to soothe him.
"It's going to be okay... Just trust to Maxtone, he's the best pilot we have," Jerony reassured Hershell, his voice steady despite the chaos outside.
He looked around the cargo hold, checking on the others.
Meanwhile in the cockpit, Maxtone and Svara's fur stood on end as the lightning grew closer. The storm was more intense than they had anticipated, but they didn't have time to be scared.
They had to stay focused and get through it.
Maxtone repeatedly glanced at the radar, his heart racing as he steered the jet through the storm. The thunder was deafening, and the lightning strikes seemed to be all around them.
Despite the turbulence, he remained calm, his eyes flicking from the instruments to the darkened sky beyond the windshield.
"Yeah, I have to do that!!!" Maxtone said to himself, his eyes narrowing with focus.
He knew he had to stay calm and collected for Svara's sake. "Hold tight, Svara, we're going to fly above this mess!"
"Are you sure you want to do that, Maxtone?" Svara's voice quivered, her paws gripping the co-pilot's stick with all her might as the jet jolted violently.
Rain and wind lashed against the windows, obscuring their view.
"Yeah!!! Better playing safe than we fall... Now, in the third count, pull the controller strongly and hold as hard as possible, we have to climb fast!" Maxtone instructed Svara, his own paws gripping the main controls tightly. "Now... One... Two... Three... Pull!!!!"
On cue, Svara pulled the controller with all her might, her small muscles straining. The jet lurched upwards, the nose pointing to the dark sky above the storm.
"C'mon baby... You can do it," Maxtone murmured to the jet, his paws gripping the controls tightly as they ascended through the turbulence.
"A little bit more... C'mon... You can do it baby, you can do it," Maxtone coaxed the jet as it climbed higher and higher as the turbulence was intense, but he could feel the plane responding to his touch.
They broke through the top of the storm, the clouds parting to reveal a clear, starry night above them. Svara's eyes widened as she saw the stars, her paws still shaking.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they emerged from the storm's fury into the calmness above the clouds. The stars twinkled serenely, as if they had never been disturbed by the chaos below. Svara let out a sigh of relief, her paws slowly relaxing their grip on the controls.
"Phew... Finally!" Svara exclaimed, her paws still trembling slightly. "That was... terrifying storm I ever see! More precisely, in the cockpit plane."
A few moments later, they could see the Sumatera island, which is mean they finally arrived at Indonesia's airspace.
Jerony came back into the cockpit, "Everything okay here?" he asked with a concerned look on his face.
"We're okay... And look, Master... Now we're above the Sumatera Island," Svara pointed out with a mix of relief and excitement, her tail wagging slightly.
"In a few minutes, I guess... We are above the Java and then we landing at Achmad Yani International Airport, right?" Maxtone asked Jerony, his paws still firmly on the controls, his eyes scanning the instruments.
"That's correct, Maxtone," Jerony said with a nod. "Good job navigating through that storm... I knew you had it in you."
"Thanks, Master," Maxtone said, his voice filled with relief as he took in the sight of the island below them.
The storm had tested him, but he had come out the other side.
Half an hour later, the jet plane was in the sky of the city of Semarang, which was very bright that night. The Achmad Yani International Airport was clearly visible with its runway lights guiding them like a beacon in the night.
"Control tower at Achmad Yani international airport... This is Maxtone, pilot of TPG air-flight 9907 requesting permission to land," Maxtone's voice was steady over the radio as they approached the airport.
"TPG air-flight 9907, you're cleared to land on runway 02," the voice from the control tower responded, and Maxtone nodded, his paws moving swiftly over the controls as they descended.
The city of Semarang grew larger and larger as they approached the airport, the lights below them creating a dazzling display. Svara couldn't help but stare out the cockpit window, her eyes wide with excitement.
"Maxtone, look! That's where we used to play!" she barked, pointing to a park that looked like a tiny patch of green from their height.
"Not now, Svara... Let me concentrate," Maxtone responded tersely, his eyes fixed on the runway as they descended.
The jet's wheels lowered with a smooth hum, and the runway grew closer with every second.
"Don't touch anything when I'll landed this baby," Maxtone said with a wink to Svara as he focused on the runway.
"TPG air-flight 9907, be careful because the runway is wet," the control tower warned as they approached the airport.
"Now you understand why I asked you to not touch anything, right?" Maxtone said to Svara, his eyes never leaving the runway as they descended through the drizzle. "The wet runway makes it more slippery."
"Y-yes... I won't," Svara nodded, her eyes wide with newfound respect for the complexity of flying.
Maxtone's paws moved with precision over the controls as they approached the runway. The jet's engines roared as they descended, and the rain pelted the windshield. The tension in the cockpit was palpable as they both focused on the task at hand.
"Here we go," Maxtone murmured, his eyes glued to the runway lights as they grew closer and closer.
The wheels touched down with a gentle thud, and the jet's speed began to decrease.
"Good job, Maxtone," Jerony said with a proud smile, watching from the cockpit doorway.
The other puppies had gathered around, their eyes wide with excitement and relief.
Maxtone grinned back, his tongue lolling out. "Thanks, Master... Couldn't have done it without Svara's help."
The jet taxied towards the terminal, the lights reflecting off its shiny exterior. The puppies in the cabin were now fully awake, their tails wagging in anticipation of their arrival.
Now, Jerony and The Pups Gang were in the land of their youth, where their hearts were filled with the warmth of nostalgia.
