The city of Tokyo, Japan, one the largest cities on the planet Earth. On this particular day, it was a sunny and hot Summer day. Schools were out for the season. The streets were jammed as usual with vehicles of all sizes. Adults frantically headed to and from work places. The trains and subways were running just as efficiently as always.
Suddenly, as if to break up this cycle or normalcy, a massive portal appeared in the skies over Tokyo. The sudden event caused the eyes of everyone in the city to look up in an indescribable sense of anxiety. As they watched, a girl, 1,000's of feet in height, descended rapidly from the portal and crushed a group of buildings underfoot, instantly causing a large number of casualties and throwing up a debris cloud.
The girl, Chibiusa, slowly stood up to her full height and looked around. Her head turned up, looking as the portal above slowly closed and the blue sky overhead again filled the sky. Her eyes went back towards the ground.
"Ah ha!" she said, "It worked! An alternate city of Tokyo, just like Ra said there would be. His device worked perfectly! Now I can truly play in the city without smashing my own house by mistake."
The people of Tokyo were even more surprised to see that the person was a gigantic girl who looked about the same age as a teen idol, for she was dressed an a very elaborate costume. She wore a very large pink dress with black layers underneath, forming three layers in all. Black ribbons adorned her waist and chest. From the front, most of her bare legs were exposed, though from the rear, the long dress tapered down to cover them. She wore frilly ankle socks and her feet were in black high heel shoes, making her taller then she actually was.
But the people's uneasiness was heightened by the fact that Chibiusa had crushed buildings with her gigantic feet without any hesitation, and by her comments about it being an interesting place to play. Not to mention that she was smiling about causing the destruction.
"Wow!" Chibiusa said, "I know I'm huge, and I knew the city would be tiny, but Tokyo is really tiny! But even at this size, there a lot of big buildings. I think it will be a lot of fun to mess them up!"
Chibiusa's clearly unfriendly behavior made people's impatience reach a fever pitch, and they all start running in the opposite direction from her. From high above, Chibiusa could see large crowds of people swarming and fleeing. The running mass enveloped roads, causing vehicles to become trapped in the sea of people.
With a smile on her face, and not caring at all what was in her path, Chibiusa began to walk forwards. Her enormous high heel shoes moved over the buildings, coming down to crush everything beneath them. Buildings held up for only a second before they cracked and collapsed, concrete shattering and falling down on everything below.
Chibiusa approached the skyscraper district around Tokyo Station, crushing many buildings and people beneath her feet. She crouched down and looked at the fleeing people with a grin. Then, using her hand, Chibiusa swipped her fingers over the structures and destroyed ten, then twenty skyscrapers in one go. Many people were still in the process of evacuating from each building, and the streets were overflowing with people fleeing in panic, but in just a moment, Chibiusa had buried hundreds in the rubble.
"Ahahahahaha!! It's so weak!!" Chibiusa said with amusement, "It's like touching a sand castle! I guess I really shouldn't be too surprised, given my size."
Chibiusa enjoyed destroying the buildings, watching them crumble so easily, and she stood up and crushed the remaining skyscrapers one by one with her heels.
People who had managed to survive in the surrounding area ran for their lives. As they did, Chibiusa's fingers wrapped around one of the remaining buildings and she ripped the whole building off its foundation. Bringing the building overhead, she tightened her fingers on the building and crushed it in her grip, sending a torrential rain of rubble crashing down on them. Many casualties occurred in the area where the wreckage of the building had rained down.
With the crowd eliminated, Chibiusa bashed her right foot through a number of small buildings, obliterating them with the side of her shoe. With the skyscrapers around Tokyo Station now gone, Chibiusa looked around the area in search of her next toy, and her eyes lit up when she found the perfect building.
"Ah! I see the Skytree over there!" Chibiusa said, pointing across the city, "I definitely wanna play with that!"
Chibiusa stomped on what remained of Tokyo Station, crushing several Shinkansen trains and their passengers underfoot, before walking towards the Skytree. She paid no mind about the buildings in her path. She walked along the Sumida River and the Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena, along with the throngs of spectators, took a direct hit from one of Chibiusa's high heels, getting crushed flat. The Edo-Tokyo Museum was next to be crushed as Chibiusa adjusted her course slightly. Thousands of people were squashed among the rubble of destroyed building just on the journey to the Skytree, but Chibiusa hardly seemed to notice. She was too focused on the large tower ahead.
As Chibiusa reached the Skytree, she found that she was nearly twice the height of the tower. It had looked bigger from farther away. But as she approached, she found her gaze turning lower and lower until she found herself looking down at the tip of the tower.
"I bet this tower looks so huge to you little people." Chibiusa said to no one in particular, but also making fun to the people she could see scrambling away from her feet, "Let's use this to destroy some stuff too!"
Chibiusa bent over and grabbed the Skytree with both hands. Giving it a hard yank, she managed to rip the entire tower off out its foundation and lift it into the air. People on the ground stared in amazement and disbelief. The Skytree had indeed been so tall that it seemed nothing could've moved it. But now, it looked like a toy in the hands of the even larger Chibiusa.
Having pulled out the Skytree, Chibiusa moved it to one hand as she trampled over the city once again. Across the Sumida River lay several apartment complexes.
Inside the Skytree's two observation platforms, the people who had been enjoying sightseeing were suddenly thrown around as the tower was held at an awkward angle in Chibiusa's hand. The angled floor meant people went sliding down and bounced off walls. The glass windows cracked and some shattered, sending people falling the long, long way towards the ground.
Without any thought for the people inside, Chibiusa swung the Skytree along the ground, causing it to slam into buildings. The end of the tower began to fracture and shatter, even as buildings in the way exploded from the impact. Eventually, the upper observation platform slammed into the ground at the lowest point of its swing and it ripped completely away from the rest of the tower, coming to rest on top of some buildings. Chibiusa picked up the Skytree again with both hands, turned it sideways, and threw it across the river towards the apartment complexes in front of her.
"Here." Chibiusa said loudly, "CATCH!"
The falling Skytree destroyed more than 20 apartment buildings, leaving the area in ruins and throwing up a cloud of debris. Seeing the impact caused Chibiusa to laugh for a moment.
"Awww, you caught it, I guess." she said, "But not very well. Looks like I'll have to finish what the Skytree started."
The Skytree had indeed destroyed much of the apartment complexes, but Chibiusa continued to step on and kick at the remaining tower apartment complexes, completely destroying them before her eyes. The series of destructive actions had leveled dozens of tower apartment buildings but the Skytree itself was still in relatively intact form after the drop. So, while smashing the apartment complex, Chibiusa also made sure to trample the remains of the Skytree, flattening what remained of the lower observation platform and stomping the wreckage into the ground.
Now, looking out over Tokyo from the bay, where many areas still boasted intact skyscrapers, she felt the urge to play even more.
"Wow, I had forgotten just how big Tokyo is!" she said, "There are still plenty of buildings left and I need to get over there too!"
After spotting the buildings, Chibiusa walked toward the Minato Ward skyscraper district, crossing the Sumida River again, and continuing her destruction of central Tokyo. Impressive skyscrapers were torn apart as Chibiusa's shoes plowed through them, turning the city in a horrific state of devastation. Even buildings that weren't directly stepped on, but were near to Chibiusa's footfalls, were no match for the force of a shoe impacting nearby, causing dozens of nearby buildings to crumble.
Chibiusa then reached Shinjuku's skyscraper district, crushing it as she went. She also crushed the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, toppling its twin towers, and other buildings in the impact. Turning, Chibiusa's feet came to a stop on top of a large patch of trees, a rare green spot within the surround gray of the buildings. Unknown to her, she had just flattened the Meiji Jingu shrine within those trees.
"Ahahahahaha!!" Chibiusa laughed loudly, thoroughly enjoying herself, "Tokyo was looking so good, but now it's a mess! I wonder what those tiny humans think about it being turned into this in the blink of an eye! Godzilla could never be as thorough as I am!"
Chibiusa looked back and saw that the buildings between the waterfront area and Shinjuku had been completely destroyed, and she could only laugh at the enormous damage that she had caused.
"There are still some big buildings left." she said, "So let's keep going!"
Tokyo's cityscape was torn to shreds as Chibiusa resumed her movement, targeting the most developed areas. Areas with many skyscrapers, such as Shibuya, were transformed into ruin and rubble. Then, Chibiusa spotted the office building district of Shinagawa. Bending her knees, Chibiusa took a massive leap into the center of it.
"LOOK OUT BELOW!" Chibiusa shouted as she dropped.
Walking in high heels is hard enough. But jumping in them is an even harder feat. But even so, Chibiusa executed the maneuver perfectly and her heels slammed down on the city.
The moment Chibiusa landed on both feet in Shinagawa, not only were the skyscrapers directly beneath her feet instantly crushed, but the largest vibration of the day's destruction so far hit the cityscape within a radius of several miles, blowing the diverse cityscape apart in concentric circles, and the skyscrapers and everything else within the radius were also destroyed. The impact was like a massive earthquake. After landing, Chibiusa stood all the way up, putting her hands on her hips, and towered over the wreckage.
"Just a moment ago, this city was full of big buildings." Chibiusa said, proudly, "But now it's completely messed up! It's so much fun!"
After destroying most of central Tokyo in a short space of time, Chibiusa looked down at the metropolis she has decimated, feeling immensely satisfied.
Just then, something slammed into Chibiusa's back and exploded. When she turned around to see what was happening, Chibiusa caught sight of a missile flying towards her, hitting her in the chest and causing another explosion. The smoke and fire looked impressive, but it left no damage at all, not even scuffing her clothing.
"Ah, is this an attack?" Chibiusa joked, "Hahaha! If so, that's disappointing! It's not working at all!"
In response to Tokyo being destroyed by Chibiusa, a US Navy aircraft carrier near Yokosuka had dispatched its carrier-based aircraft, but the F-18 Hornet that first reached the attack position received very unfavorable reports.
"Confirmed." the pilot reported, "The missile has hit the target's body. However, it does not appear to be effective. If anything she seems to be laughing after being hit!"
Chibiusa turned her body due south, facing Yokosuka directly. It was quite clear what target she had chosen next, and the aircraft seemed to know it.
"Target is changing course, appears to be heading towards Tokyo Bay." the pilot radioed, "It seems she has discovered the carrier's location. Hurry up and launch additional aircraft! Have the planes attack the face or any other part of the target that will have some effect."
Chibiusa headed south from Shinagawa, leaving several massive footprints in Ota Ward and Kawasaki City. As she walked, the next four aircraft concentrating their attacks on her face. Missiles streaked out and impacted against Chibiusa's head, but once again, they did nothing more then cause her to brush a hand through her bangs.
"I want to swat them down." Chibiusa thought, "But they're flying out of reach of me. But I know where they are coming from. So I'll destroy them at their source." Her mouth curled into a mischievous grin.
When the soldiers saw Chibiusa heading towards the fleet centered around the aircraft carrier, they desperately put up a resistance, but it was ineffective and the distance between them and Chibiusa only narrowed.
"Send missile attacks from the escort ships as well!" the pilot ordered.
Aegis Cruisers and other small ships began firing off missiles as Chibiusa came closer and closer. Explosions blossomed all over her body, from her shoulders to her ankles, as the ships tried to vain to find some way to bring her down.
"These small ships are in my way." Chibiusa said, reaching the first of the destroyers, "Let's throw them away!"
Chibiusa stepped into the water of Tokyo Bay. With her size, the water didn't even go over the top of her shoes. Bending at the waist, Chibiusa reached down and grabbed one of the ships from the fleet surrounding the aircraft carrier. Even after being grabbed, the ship continued to resist with its cannon, but Chibiusa paid no attention to it and scanned the coastline for a place to dump the garbage.
"That area with all those tanks looks fun!" she said, cheerfully, "Let's throw you there!"
Chibiusa threw the destroyer with all her might towards an industrial area filled with oil and gas tanks. The force of the ship slamming into the tanks caused the munitions aboard the cruiser to explode, resulting in a chain reaction of explosions that see the oil and gas tanks exploding one after the other. Many workers and residents in the vicinity are caught up in the explosion, but Chibiusa, whose eyes were focused on the explosion, didn't notice.
"Wow, what an explosion!" she exclaimed, "Then I'll throw some more!"
Chibiusa took a step forward, her high heel shoe coming down on an Aegis Destroyer that had floated too close. It was pushed underwater and crushed against the bottom of the bay, leaving only the bow sticking out of the water at a high angle.
Chibiusa threw destroyers one after another at other tank areas, engulfing the coast in flames. When there were no more tanks of interest, she hurled the remaining ships at random residential areas. Ships fell from the sky, destroying numerous houses and apartment buildings, and the munitions exploding caused extensive damage to the surrounding area.
Soon, all that remained was the aircraft carrier, floating helplessly alone in the bay. The ship was indeed big, but Chibiusa was able to crouch down and lift the ship with both hands. As she stood back up, the ship rocked from side to side in her grip. Planes and equipment slide off the deck and plummeted thousands of feet down to the ground as Chibiusa turned and headed north back towards the shoreline.
Water fell off the sole of Chibiusa's shoe as she made landfall. She kicked away a convoy of cars trying to evacuate the highway in her path, and crushed half of Yokohama Stadium under her feet as she approached the Minato Mirai district. She knocked down the skyscrapers in front of her with the side of her foot, destroying them in one fell swoop, as if to say they were in her way, and then crouched down right in front of her target, the Yokohama Landmark Tower.
"Time to destroy a big building with a big ship!" Chibiusa said loudly, lifting the carrier over the tower. Chibiusa brough the large ship down on top of the tower with a loud crash. The hull of the carrier smashed through the concrete of the tower, spraying debris all over and cracking the ship severely. The tower broke in half, with the top section tumbling over on top of surrounding buildings while the lower half was ground to pieces as Chibiusa pressed the aircraft carrier down hard.
Chibiusa had used the aircraft carrier in a completely different way than it was originally intended: to destroy a city. By the time she'd finished destroying all the buildings around the Landmark tower, even the sturdy hull of the aircraft carrier has been torn to shreds. Having destroyed it, Chibiusa looked up into the sky.
"Oh, that's right." she said, "Are those planes still there? I haven't felt their attacks for some time now."
Having run out of ammunition and with nowhere to return to, the planes had no choice but to continue watching from a safe altitude, so Chibiusa showed off the mangled aircraft carrier at her feet.
"Your houses and the town around here are all gone, you know?" Chibiusa mocked, winking cutely, "Aren't you ashamed of yourself for being such weak soldiers? Hahaha!"
Although she was unable to swat down the aircraft, Chibiusa felt much better after making them feel humiliated. She dropped the remains of the aircraft carrier, which was no longer of any use, to the ground and trampled it, as well as the rubble of the Landmark Tower, under her feet as a show of force to the pilots. She then looked around the surrounding city, but could hardly find any skyscrapers in the vicinity.
Although Tokyo was a massive city and still spread out endlessly around the area, there were only a few interesting large buildings scattered here and there. So, satisfied at having destroyed most of the fun areas, Chibiusa decided to stop the destruction for the time being.
"Alright, this is enough for now." Chibiusa said. She reached her arms up over her head, letting out a big stretch, "You really were no match for me after all."
After destroying a major city and easily handling an army, Chibiusa addressed the survivors around her with a condescending grin on her face.
"This dimension is now mine." she said firmly, "So from today on, I can do as I please here. And I will be back to finish up."
The people in the streets around her who had escaped harm were faced with the reality that there was nothing they could do, even though they were up against a single girl.
"After destroying this city, I'm hungry." she said. "Hey Ra? Are you paying attention? Bring me back now!"
Chibiusa placed her hands on her hips again and waited. After a few seconds, the portal reappeared, this time in front of her and stretching into the sky. Chibiusa paused just long enough to look back over her shoulder.
"See you all again soon." and she stepped through the portal. Seconds later, the portal closed.
The bright blue sky over Tokyo appeared once again but this time, it hung over the wrecked city, fire and smoke drifting up from hundreds of locations. The bright, hot sun still beamed down. A strange contrast of the peaceful, calm sky, clashed with the ruins of the city below. The people left behind could only breath in relief that they had made it through the attack. But they were also left to wonder just how to combat the threat of Chibiusa reappearing someday.
About one hour later, hundreds of miles and an ocean away, over the city of Portland, Oregon, a crackling sounds was heard high above the city center. As people looked up, the sky appeared to rip open and a large circular portal appeared overhead
And out of it dropped a massive pink-haired girl . . . .
