Happy New Year!

Here's the first of a different kind of addition to the comics: Minis! These mini stories may not always be related to previous stories or stories following the mini, sometimes they'll just be... fun little side ventures. Could be 1 page, could be slightly longer~

This one of course takes place directly after the events of "Last Call," and can be considered "Chapter 2.1?"

Every time I see this sort of promise in a story, I can't help thinking my reaction would be 'I know damned well I can't promise that, because some situations cause rationality to shut off'.

The best someone can realistically promise is to try, I think.

Thanks! She's always fun to draw, but her sad/pleading face upped the levels of cute. X3

I guess we'll have to wait and see! :3 (Though there's some things they obviously can't turn off like fast healing.)

For sure, for sure. And to be frank, the desperate need to protect someone they love and care about will make it hard to not use their powers, too. They just have to learn to use their powers as a last resort.

Your comic and emotional drawing skills are strong. I like how it's easy to follow from panel to panel how she expresses her fears and does her best to get across to him that she needs him to do this for her. Even when she's upset, her cuteness shines though. Lovely job.

Thanks! I really appreciate that. It’s always tricky wondering if I’m capturing in comic form what I wrote down in the script. There’s always a lot of flowery descriptive text that I hope doesn’t get too lost when translating into drawing, and comments like these let me know that I succeeded. ^^

Thanks so much! There will be many many more stories ahead! Every time I try to make a story about a character not related to the current group, I realize that I have to do something else involving them first lol
We should see the somewhat official introduction of Rowan soon I think?
