BTS:
To tell you the truth, I never plan on updating these VNs. Each VN has its reason for the update. The general reason is that all VNs are structured the same. For Sonic College Love, I like the idea of Sonic x Surge (More on her in a later post). Working on the Sonic CL VN is harder and longer than the other 3 because most of time, coding is the more important thing. Since all other VNs code is basically built off this one. In a way it tests games but with content. So, long story short, SCL is in the middle regardless of difficult to write for.
About the Cast:
Sonic: When writing for Sonic, he is carefree but a nice guy. However, writing for him pre-dating is hard. But writing dating Sonic, is easier since I could go fully Sonic went writing him. There isn?t much else I can say. Expect he is the 2nd hard protag to write for.
Amy: When making Sonic?s harem, Amy was the first girl to add. SCL version of Amy is a mixture of IDW, Modern, and Boom Amy (with 3% Adventure Amy). She is basically the childhood friend girl.
Blaze: The Blaze is the second girl picked for Sonic?s harem. Like Amy, she has an obvious choice. Writing Blaze there are two sides to her. When she is calm and when she is in heat. Calm Blaze is... as the name implies calm. Still open to sex just doesn?t need it. Heat Blaze is vulgar, quick to angry (even if you do what she said), and is in dire need of sex. Since she is a pyro cat, her heat spell is the worst compared to other characters.
Tangle: The third girl from Sonic Harem was added because I thought there was a small amount of Sonic x Tangle content. Seems like there is a lot now. (Not counting my own stuff). Tangle is Tangle. Unlike most girls, I did not have to change I how wrote her when dating or not. She is the wild party girl who is shameless and has little boundaries. (She does have things she won?t do and things that Sonic should never do).
Lilac: Sonic?s fourth girl isn?t from the Sonic series. The VN was going to have three girls (I will explain why I changed that in a late post.) But why Lilac? Three reasons. First, I was like the Sonic x Freedom ships. Second, I wanted a character that would make me stand out. Third, before working on the VN, I made the Lilac headhack since there isn?t a Lilac KM for SFM (There is one for MMD. I might be wrong about this one but I think one of the versions of MMD Lilac is based on my headhack). Anyway, like Sonic, Lilac wasn?t fully Lilac wasn?t fully Lilac until dating. pre-dating Lilac started as a fangirl to a friend to a friend with benefits. Also, I wrote Lilac like Sonic since she was originally based on him. Her route was my favorite to work for Sonic. THAT DOESN?T MEAN SONICXLILAC IS MY FAVORITE SHIP! (That?s my secret.)
Sally: Sonic?s fifth girl and the first extra girl. She would have been the fourth girl. But found a certain dragon more unique. (Technically Sally is the fourth girl since she is the base model for that headhack.) If she was part of the OG harem, then it would affect the Tails & Knuckles harem. As for why she has been added, a lot of people want her in the VN plus she was a cut girl that I want to work with. Like Amy, Sally is written like a childhood but tomboy. Sonic and Sally?s history make it so that are very comfortable around each other. Also, Sonic rub off on her in the past.
Surge: Now on to Sonic?s last girl. When made the first VN, I didn?t know Surge existed (Or she didn?t exist) at the time. By the time I did learn of her, she was going to be part of another VN harem. But in the end, she is different from the other girls. Being the only one to hate Sonic from the start... or act like she does. Surge is a tsundere (minus that hitting and idiot-calling trope). Like her character archetype she warms up to Sonic. Also, she is lowkey baby crazy.
Cut Girls:
Perci: Reason: Color is too similar to another girl
Perci was a huge candidate for Sonic?s harem. But the fact her fur color is too similar to Blaze?s was the reason she was rejected. She is the only cut girl for Sonic.
