I draw my gargoyle male character Figres with simple purple colored background and I draw this art in 2024. first I color this character with vermilion color but after I notice he have red fur, after I use ruby red but he have subtle vermilion color.

on background area, now I feel it may be better with much more purple, but current color make clear mood, the color itself become smooth and well.
