When René Taxel slides their choker up their neck, their two heads fuse together. The inner eyes, having nowhere else to go, fuse into a third eye which migrates to their forehead, while the merged brain behind it becomes powerful enough to warp space and open portals to any place René can imagine.
To open a portal René only needs to point their third eye in the direction they want one end to be – it will materialise a short distance in front – and visualise the other end's location in their mind. The portal's ends are pink, the same colour as their eyes, and have a watery look and feel when passed through; their size and orientation can be modified as René wishes.
Portals persist as long as René wants to keep them open, even if they slide their choker back down to separate their two heads (which they would have to do to sleep, since the third eye has no eyelid and the sheer volume of thoughts in their merged brain prevents sleeping). An arbitrary number of portals can be open at any one time, and a closing portal with something still in its middle will hug that object like a rubber band until the object is fully through.
I wrote a few sentences in my initial description of René Taxel regarding their one-headed, three-eyed form and the associated portal powers, but never really got around to drawing or commissioning that form until near Halloween 2025. Having filled up a commission form from SqueakyCanine asking for René, I was told that I'd get a surcharge from their two heads, at which point I quickly suggested drawing the three-eyed form instead and resolving to have a reference ready before their next stream. This is the finished reference.
