Nico and Pancho #20 Discussion About the Stars
Nico and Pancho #22 Re-entry to Earth.
Jemu whispered over to Samia, in their own civoran language so Nico and Pancho wouldn't understand him, "Honey, I'm going to mess with Nico and Pancho a bit", as Samia chuckled.
"Nico! Pancho! Look what the stars are doing!", Jemu called out as he slightly bumped up the cruiser's throttle control, putting it into partial hyper speed, and making it appear like the stars changed colors.
"THE STARS ARE GOING CRAZY!", Nico shouted as the civoran family laughed. They understood what was really going on.
Pancho didn't know what to say.
Jemu finally expained, "When you approach objects at this speed, you see the light waves as a compressed effect. Thats why we are seeing them as violet and blue. And if this cruiser had a rear window, you would see the stars behind us as orange and red right now."
"That's wild", said Nico
"Not really", said Jemu. "It's like you hear the sound of something approaching as a high pitch. Then it sounds low pitch as it goes away".
"I always notice that when I watch airplanes fly overhead", Pancho commented.
"Light works the same way", Jemu replied. "It just takes a lot more speed to do it with light than with sound".
