Back to the Screwmlin situation, it's kinda wild. Like, all the conspiracy theories are real and the conspirators are 'evil' aliens? But that means a) Some people are just born evil, and have no choice. (arguably true. ;.;) b) the main baddies are all conveniently the same 'race'? ohno. ;.; c) Hang on is this the lead up to the end of the world situation? I thought this happened post-end-of-the-world. I could imagine even then, if they were on this world pre-end-of-the-world they were probably responsible for it anyways.
Comparing with our world, I really hope the conspiracies aren't true and that bad things just happen. It's definately a hard time right now in this part of the 'information age' where you can't be sure of anything and everyone knows all opposites are true simultaneously. :/

a) I absolutely love that debate. Can someone born evil fight their own nature to become good or vice versa? That's the main point of the next chapter! b) Not really, they do have collaborators of other species, like Chief Ecnon a few pages back. Blackmail and bribing can only take you so far if someone isn't already prone to do evil. c) Yep, this is happening before the Extinction and is tangentially related to it. Yeah I was trying to figure out how to state that, since I knew they had collaborators. They just seem like the masterminds, and maybe it's just the way we've been focusing on them but it seems like there's a lot of them out there.
Given your response to a) though, I wonder if you're going to explore that battle of natures with one of them trying not to be like the others, making "Wiping them all out" less ideal.

Given that the version she used on Zaggy copied injury as well, it would not save someone after a fatal injury- it would "restore" the body to its fatally wounded state.
If she had used it on herself already, she wouldn't be laying there dead, as we saw Zaggy shrug off deadly injuries, like a shiv to the heart, without missing a beat.
