After many days on dusty roads, Prince Flavius finally reached the border of the new neighboring kingdom — a land recently rediscovered on old maps. From the moment he stepped beneath the stone archway, he sensed that this was a special place.
Warm air carried the scent of blossoms, damp earth, and sunlight. Between the hills stood palaces of pale stone, surrounded by vast gardens. Water shimmered in canals and ponds, and the songs of birds blended with the rustle of leaves.
As Flavius passed through the grand gates of the main palace, his eyes caught a figure waiting at the top of the stairs — a young rabbit, his fur pure white, his eyes light blue, wearing gold-trimmed cloth that glowed softly in the sun.
He stepped forward, bowed slightly, and spoke in a calm, gentle voice:
“Welcome to our land, Prince Flavius. I am Sarilo , son of the House of Solareth.”
Flavius smiled. “Your country is beautiful. I never thought so much green could thrive beneath such a strong sun.”
“The sun is harsh, but she gives us life,” replied the rabbit prince, gesturing toward the terraces. “You’ll grow used to it — and perhaps you’ll find more here than just trade partners.”
Together they walked through the gardens, speaking about their realms, their people, and their hopes for peace. Their words were polite, yet there was warmth beneath them — a quiet curiosity, a spark of understanding neither expected.
As the sun sank behind the marble walls and the sky turned golden, Aurel turned to him again.
“If you wish,” he said softly, “come with me to my palace balcony. From there you can see the waterfall in the last light of day. I’ll show you how our land sounds when night begins.”
Flavius nodded, and they walked side by side beneath the high arches into the warm evening air. The distant rush of the waterfall mingled with the calls of birds, and under the fading light, something gentle began to bloom between lion and rabbit — as soft as the wind moving across the water.
