This is the second group portrait I did for our Gamma World game, a post-apocalyptic science fiction RPG, as the first one was kind of rough. You'll recognize some of the characters from my previous GW pics, including Zorba, a pure-strain human warrior; Barnabus, a spine-throwing mutant human; Benjamin Rake (formerly Oswald), a mutant rabbit who could fire beams of deadly radiation from his eyes; Leech, a mutant human with the dreaded life leech power; Captain Marbel, a mutant human who could fly and fire heat blasts and modeled himself on a character he saw in a pre-apocalypse comic book; and Ollky Surfis, a mutant otter with gills who could absorb and release electricity. To this we add Michael Saige (the guy in the green coat), a mutant human with telepathic powers who was inspired by the song "Veteran of the Psychic Wars" by Blue Oyster Cult; Hypatia (the girl with the bow beside Benjamin), a pure-strain human warrior; and Degas Ryk, a member of a mutant raccoon species called dabbers who possessed telepathy, telekinesis, forcefields, and illusion powers.

He's based on Captain Marvel (the Marvel Comics version, not the Shazam guy).
