now a second set of "bare" foot paws is finished. They are again made of filter foam.
Concealed within the filter foam is a shoe with a rounded sole, so you can wear it comfortably. and you can walk more on your toes or more on your toes, just as you like.
I taped them again with fine heating insulation tape so I could get the shape for the pattern as accurately as possible.
the inside is lined with cotton fabric to make them more comfortable to wear and to cover the filter foam.
as a dragon, I have "horn plates" on the toes/in front of the shins, which I sewed in from fleece and backed with extra pieces of filter foam to make them slightly raised.
For the claws, I again used the tried-and-tested construction of sanded polymer clay with a built-in M8 thread.
The claws are relatively easy to replace, and after using them for a while, I have to say that they do wear noticeably, especially on asphalt and stones (about 3mm on the EAST-Con), so I'll probably have to replace them with new ones every few years.
To stiffen the nocs a bit and give them a solid shape, I sewed a thin layer of filter foam between the fur and the inner lining. Then, I simply sewed the fur inward at the top so that when I later wear them with the matching Suit Haose, they'll have a more or less seamless transition.
Since the underside of my fursona's feet is brown/olive, I also sewed it in the same way for the paws.
However, for reasons of wind resistance (after all, I want to be able to walk around outside with them), I made them leather rather than fur.
This is what the claw mount looks like. The screws are glued into the filter foam toes.
They ensure that the toes move when the claws are moved.
That's sounds good, must be nice and warm with paw shoes. ^^
Oh, before I forget, next week you receive an gift, a Series everyone want one, I save you for one idea.
I checked my old Notes and found your gore idea deep buried from July 08, 2024, allow me to create a similar build from yours. It's a shame not to draw that. I can add Samy instead.
Currently I begin to drawning myself too, in normal I use that style for my job only.
