So... I have like 130+ OCs, and they all have 'theme songs.' Some given to them while drawing them for the first time, or given much later, some the song came first and inspired the character. (I plan to release that spotify playlist along with a HUGE sheet linking each song to each character, but that's a future project for later.)
Anyways for Rowan, her theme song is "Strength of the world" by Avenged Sevenfold. Hanako was designed first, but Rowan came afterwards as a character after Hanako for revenge, and the song fits her backstory so well. As i've said before, the only times Rowan can ever be seen fighting seriously is with Hanako. Each fight is a fight to the death. A never-ending game of cat and mouse, but perhaps... there IS an end in sight... but that's a tale for another time~

It's awesome getting a glimpse of this very rare side of Rowan when she's committed to battle like this. We see her all the time in her natural environment with close friends and how bubbly she can be, and you just never would've guessed she has so much deep-seeded hatred within her unless perhaps she really told you about her past.
That facial expression you gave her is so intense too, and it goes perfectly with the pose I suggested. Which, by the way, excellent job in illustrating the angle. ;)

Yeah, it's obviously not something she enjoys talking about, except to those she trusts, and if Rowan's ever like this, then Hanako's not far. X3 I can't wait til they get their own arc in the comic! It's planned, I just gotta... GET there lol.
Yeah, the pose worked well for her! I changed a bit to fit a more... serious/deadly approach, and with her left arm, I tried a few things. Started with how it was in the reference, then more in front of her (but didn't want to deal with that perspective lol,) and eventually settled on this one, displaying one of her (many) other weapons~
