"Water in the air"

Nasir figured he may as well try out a sauna, so he tracked down the nearest one to him and headed in. The room he randomly picked happened to not be unoccupied, as an anthro fish was also enjoying themselves there... Or at least trying to. They were breathing heavily, the mist in the air not quite having enough water for their gills to be enough when breathing at a normal pace. Nasir felt that that didn't really seem fair, and as he gave it some thought, he got an idea.

Getting out his wand, he used his magic to add more water to the air, much to the fish's surprise. Soon, Nasir took a deep breath and held it just in case as the mist reached the point of supersaturation, and he paused to see how the fish was doing. Their breathing had calmed to a casual pace! Smiling in satisfaction, Nasir set his wand behind him and closed his eyes to relax, not noticing that there was now so much water in the air that he was sort of making bubbles, the air from his nostrils displacing the mist.

Shoutout to squirtlerocks07 for helping me come up with the idea for this.

squirtlerocks07 and I did an RP based on this.

S: it was a strangely really cold day today, one of the coldest days on record for this time of year, so everyone has been rushing to try and stay warm. The local sauna was the closest place to most people so they were all in the there. One of those people happened to be Nasir, who was luckily able to get a sauna room before it was too late. Once he got inside, there was also an anthro fish that was in there, seems even the fish were trying to warm up, they were breathing quite heavily at the moment as there wasnt enough water in the air for them to breathe normally

L: As Nasir goes to sit down, he realizes how the fish seems to be having trouble breathing... "Hey, are you okay? I don't think breathing steam works as well for you guys as just water does..."

S: the fish turns to look at Nasir, visibly out of breath

"Hah...hah...hah... I...underestimated how little water there was in steam... I can't....relax like this...and its too far for me to head out...to the ocean...and not when its...so cold... can you...help me?"

L: "I probably can, hm... Ah, let me try something." Nasir gets out his wand, and some mist starts coming from the end of it. "Gonna add more water to the air... Is this helping at all?"

S: "Whoa... a wizard... cool..." As the mist surrounded the sauna room the fish was slowly relaxing some!

"Hey, this is helping! Keep...going"

L: The mist gradually thickens, making it easier for the fish to breathe... Eventually, Nasir stops. "Is that enough? Any more and I'M gonna be the one having trouble breathing."

S: the fish while he could breathe a lot easier then before it wasnt enough to fully relax him, he was still a little out of breath

"How the tables have turned, but...I think I may need some more... I wanna relax here, I hope your comfortable with adding more water in the air for me..."

L: "I guess it wouldn't really be fair for me to keep it like this when you're not really able to leave... Alright, I'll keep going, I don't mind holding my breath for a while." After taking a few deep breaths and holding one, Nasir resumes adding mist to the air.

S: now with there being so much more mist in the air, the fish eventually fully manages to breathe and exhale like he would normally if he was underwater. He smiles at Nasir

"Thanks so much! Your a lifesaver! Now I can properly relax!"

he even gave Nasir a hug

L: Finishing making the mist, Nasir hugs the fish back. "Glad I could help! And once you want to leave, I can probably make a water bubble for your head too." His breath displaces the mist in a way that sort of looks like he's making bubbles, which even float upward.

S: "Oh that would be a big help! Thanks again!"

after sitting down next to Nasir to relax now that he was able to breathe comfortably, nothing really happens for a while, just that Nasir has to go out to breathe when he wants to. Then out of nowhere the sauna door opens to reveal someone else, a Flygon, who looked really cold, shivering even and wanted to warm up in the sauna. Once he got inside he goes to breathe but suddenly chokes! He grabbed his throat for a minute before rushing back outside and gasping hard, wondering what just happened

Flygon - "Hah...hah...hah...what in the world was that?!"

L: "Oh, sorry, we probably should've put some kind of sign up! I filled this room with way more mist so this fish guy can breathe, and I guess you've just proven it's not safe for anyone without gills..."

S: "What?! Oh come on! This is the only sauna room left! Every single room is totally full! What do i do now?! I'm freezing over here!"

the flygon shivers a lot more now

Fish - "Heh...sorry..."

L: "I'm not about the thin out the mist and suffocate this guy, so... You're going to have to just hold your breath, like I am."

S: Flygon - "Are you crazy!? I'm not about to hold my breath in a sauna, its supposed to be relaxing not stressful! Besides I'm too scared of breath holding..."

L: "It's not really that stressful, you can just step out to breathe every now and then... And how is it scary? There's barely anything to worry about here."

S: Fish - "He's not wrong, its safe! Even for air breathers!"

Flygon - "Well i don't like holding my breath, thats the part that scares me ok?!"

the flygon keeps shivering from the cold, not used to it at all, he was even whimpering too

L: "Well... Which is worse, holding your breath or being so cold you're shivering? I think on some level you know it'd be worth it to come in here."

S: Fish - "Even if i was in your shoes I would take holding my breath over being cold"

Flygon - "..." the flygon sighs heavily "I really wanna go in there and warm up, but I just can't hold my breath! Ive only done it once and never wanted to do it again!"

L: "Only one time? You probably barely know what it's like then, how are you so sure it's completely awful?"

S: "Because I almost drowned at that one time! Its a long story, but bottom line, I'm terrified!"

Fish - "Eeesh...looks like he really needs some help then"

L: "...Okay, yeah, that's fair. Look, there's no way that'll happen this time, I'm ready to help if anything goes wrong, and I'm sure this fish guy would be willing to as well."

S: "Of course ill help! In anyway I can!"

Flygon - "I-i don't know guys..."

he keeps shivering as he comes as close to the inside of the sauna as he can

"Toucan guy, can we go in together perhaps? I need company first thing if im gonna go in there"

L: "Alright, that's fine." Nasir gets up and gets out of the sauna, catching his breath once he can. "As soon as we get in there, you're going to be wondering what you were so scared about."

S: "Yeah right! But I'm so cold over here and I don't wanna freeze to death, so I have to try this...as much as its gonna freak me out!"

Fish - "You've got this! We're right here with you bud!"

L: "Oh, before I forget..." Nasir motions with his wand as if writing on the air, and floating and glowing text appears in front of the sauna's entrance, saying "If you don't have gills, hold your breath in here, the steam's too thick for air breathers."

"Alright, now nobody's going to get surprised like you were."

S: Flygon - "Good, thatll come in handy for others..."

Fish - "Yeah we don't want a repeat of what happened before, now come on get in here already!"

L: "It's not gonna feel like anything bad, just hold your breath and walk on in. Should be pretty easy, right?"

S: Flygon - "It sounds easy, but actually doing it is another story, thats why I wanted to do it together..."

L: "Well, we'll head in together whenever you're ready then. Although if you end up stalling, I'll try to help you just get it over with."

S: "Alright... I'm gonna try here...hopefully"

the flygon sets a little closer, he was gonna do it, but it never came...he ends up stalling this after a while

L: "...You're kind of taking too long. I'll just do a countdown, then we'll both go in at once, okay?"

S: "Ugh, I'm sorry...I just got too nervous, but yeah do that...it might help me just go in and get it over with..."

L: "This should help a lot, yeah. 3, 2, 1, go." Nasir holds his breath and walks into the sauna, watching the flygon to make sure they come with him.

S: after some hestation, the Flygon eventually holds his own breath and walks slowly into the sauna with him, whining a bit as he sees steam like bubbles escape his nostrils

Fish - "Hey you did it! Good job!"

L: "Great work! Now, just sit down and try your best to relax, you're not far from somewhere where you can breathe." Nasir sits on one of the benches.

S: the flygon nods, trying not to waste his air he goes to sit next to Nasir, trying his best to relax even as he was visibly scared

the fish also wanted to help him calm him down so he comes over to sit on the other side of the flygon, putting his arm around him

Fish - "Feels good being somewhere warmer now huh?"

Flygon - "Mmhm..."

L: Nasir puts an arm around the flygon too. "Bet you feel it's worth all the trouble now. Hopefully a different sauna gets freed up soon though, I know you still won't like this as much."

S: the flygon drapes his wings over the two in a sort of hug as he tries to remain calm, his face was turning red since he hasnt done this in so long

Fish - "Thats it, try to stay nice and calm and enjoy the warmth of the sauna!"

Flygon - "Mmm...i-im trybling

with their being so much water in the air, the flygon's speech was just a little bit muffled, but not by too much

L: "Ha, I didn't realize this steam could actually mess with how someone sounds, neat. But yeah, just... Focus on the warmth."

S: Fish - "That's cool, heh"

the flygon blushes some more from embarrassment, slowly but surely he starts to relax, even when his blush from his need to breathe grows bigger

"You know something funny I just thought of, I wonder if you add enough water in the air for you to actually be able to like swim around and stuff, that be kind of neat"

L: "That doesn't seem like it'd work, but... Eh, for science." Nasir starts adding even more water to the air using his wand.

S: the fish waits for Nasir to finish putting more water into the air before he would try this out while the flygon just watches

L: Slowly, everything gets a little muffled as if the room is underwater... Eventually Nasir stops. "Alright, any more and we'll basically be underwater." The bubbles coming from him and the flygon are a fair bit easier to see now.

S: Flygon - "Whbloa, nblow iblts rbleally likble wblere unblderwater nblow"

the flygon's face was turning more red and little grunts of strain escaped him

Fish - "Lets see if this thing works now"

the fish then gets up and jumps to try to swim, and to his surprise, it actually works! He was able to swim around like he was underwater, causing the flygon's eyes to go wide

L: "What the- How!?" Nasir watches for a few seconds, stunned, before jumping up from the bench and trying it out himself. Sure enough, he can swim too! "I've never seen anything like this, I have NO idea how this is working..."

S: "This is cool! I love this sauna even more now!"

the flygon gets up to go breathe outside the sauna, before holding his breath and coming back in, then he too joins in on the swimming, his fears completely melted away

Flygon - "Thblis is kiblnda of awblesome!"

L: Nasir goes and gets a breath as well so he can enjoy this for longer. "It's like a pool, but not... I think we just happened across a great way to relax!"

S: Fish - "Yeah! Now that im actually able to swim around, i feel a lot more relaxed here"

Flygon - "I-ill adblmit iblt, evblen im nblot abls scblared abls I wblas beblfore, I dblont evblen miblnd hblolding my brbleath now!"

both the flygon and fish happily continue to swim around the sauna room, both of them super calm and relaxed

L: Nasir continues as well, also using his magic to make everyone's bubbles float around the room to eventually turn the place into almost a hot tub.

S: the flygon eventually just stops to float in place, closing his eyes and enjoying this even more

"Mmm...thblis is sblo nblice....

Fish - "Tell me about it... I could stay in here all day..."

this goes on for quite a while as everyone continues to relax, of course the flygon going goes out to breathe every now and then, and surprisingly, nobody else seems to come, it seems like the majority of everyone arent crazy enough to hold their breath in a sauna

L: After a while, Nasir seems to have had enough. "Think I'm getting a little overheated at this point... You guys can stay here if you want, but I think I'm gonna step out."

S: Fish - "Think ill do the same, ive had enough too, besides I need you to help me get back to the ocean"

Flygon - "Mble tbloo, im dblone hblere, thblanks foblr lebltting mble joibln yblou gbluys, mayble we shblould ablll gblo foblr a rbleal swblim soobln!"

the flygon happily hugs both the fish and Nasir before heading out of the sauna, gasping for air once he does

L: "I'll start clearing out the water again, but I'll do this first..." Nasir makes a lot of the water in the air form into a bubble around the fish's head so they can still breathe. "That should last you an hour or so, plenty of time to get to the ocean."

S: Fish - "Thanks so much, luckily the ocean isnt that far away, ill catch you some other time then, I'm usually around the area! Bye!"

the fish waves goodbye and heads off, able to breathe comfortably now that he has a bubble on his head, and Nasir started clearing out the water in the sauna room. It was still pretty cold, but now with everyone warmed up, things should go a lot easier this time around
