Commentary:
After spending an inordinate amount of time on SAI, I finally managed to design a comic book cover. Yes, yet another comic series to the list. Took a while to get a bead on what direction I wanted to take, but I settled on going for a massive fight scene with the main character standing firm and defiant. Koishi comes off as a little too much of a wannabe badass, but hey. I guess I'd get serious too if a war was going on behind me. I like the direction I took with this one, either way. Most of the time, I'd go for a collage of characters and scenery, but this time around, I went for just one scene. Might actually occur in the chronology of events, and might not. You'll just have to wait and see.
As if the title didn't make it obvious, the comic will center around time travel, following the experiences of one Koishi Akamoto (as seen in front.) The consequences of tampering with the chronological time line will range in impact, evident in several parties vying for control over several time periods. While Koishi confides wholeheartedly in the Maxim Regulatory Administration, he eventually finds himself isolated in his struggles against the enigmatic enemies spread across time and space. He begins to feel as though he is merely chasing shadows rather than accomplishing anything of significant importance. To such end, he wanders disillusioned, only later making significant breakthroughs in his personal investigation. Between all of this are his personal convictions and affiliations, torn amidst the adversity and turmoil of key events.
The plan is to upload the bulk of upcoming comic pages to Deviant Art and Smack Jeeves when I get a good rhythm going. Wouldn't want to clog my other galleries with comic pages, one after the other. We'll see where this goes.
