Today’s challenge is…

“Oh sweet Celestia we killed Twilight!”

Let that sink in for a second.

You know for a minute at least some of those poniies thought they just murdered their good friend Twilight. That’s a black scorch mark. It doesn’t speak of something nice normally and I think you can also see what I mean in their faces.

So what you’re to draw is what happened in that window between Twilight’s ‘death’ and return. Or you could go more ‘what if that actually happened’ if you would like. Whichever inspires you darlings~

So... I thought, what if they did the askh-ente rite (summon death, and ask things if needed) from Terry pratchett's Discworld?

This was happened in Colour of Magic, when the wizards summoned Death, and he was at a masquerade party. At the end of the discussion:

Galder: I said I hope it is a good party.
AT THE MOMENT IT IS. I THINK IT MIGHT GO DOWNHILL VERY QUICKLY AT MIDNIGHT. Galder: Why?

I foresee a two part picture - the first involves Rincewind on Depry's back, fleeing something, Rincewind thinking that they must go faster. Second panel - Derpy piggy-backing on Rincewind as he runs, thinking "This is faster!" Derpy is obviously enjoying the experience, given her beaming smile.

Upon rewatching the episode, I noticed that the scorch mark actually formed a perfect replica of Twilight's cutie mark.

Hopefully one of the girls noticed this and realized it was more crazy magic at work, before everyone went insane with grief.

Fantastic picture, and you used the quote I wouldve been honour bound as a Pratchett follower to have insisted on. 8)

You know, theres only two things wrong, or rather slightly out with the picture. Why is Pinkie worried? Her boss turning up at the office party? If so, shouldnt she have a Klatchian Curry to appease him? 8)

Something Im still waiting for though in comments. As far as I remember, the very last frame of the finale occured as second 42 in the music, and occurs in only two main movies. The Millenium Falcon flies off, giving us the requires Star Wars entry, but more importantly, its the end of the first part, of a three parter, where part two and three are made back to back.

Roads, where were going, we dont need, roads.

I got to have dinner with Sir Terry last year.
And when I say "got to have", what I mean is "paid far too much at a charity auction to win".
Was totally worth it though, one of the greatest people I've ever met.

I love death he's one of my favorite chars, But death of rats is still my favorite death. He was soooooooo cute in Sky one's Hogfather. I loved him way before that but his short little scene made me squeee

Despite the ponies, I somehow knew that it was Death from Discworld just from the thumbnail. Well done!
