This was a bad idea. The purple rito named Noc knew as much. He had always wanted to get closer to his hero, the famed champion of the village, Revali. However, all his past attempts had been fruitless due to a combination of the champion’s busy schedule and his unwillingness to meet fans. Nevertheless, Noc persisted, and through some convoluted bartering he managed to get his feathers on a powerful elixir of unknown properties. The only thing he knew, according to the shady merchant who sold it to him was that it would allow him to get as close as he desired to anyone he chose. As such, he couldn’t resist trying it out once he came back home the next day.
After making sure that nobody was watching, Noc quietly sneaked into one of Revali’s favourite perches. Next, he uncorked the mysterious vial and quickly drank the entirety of its contents. The effects were almost immediate. He suddenly started to feel incredibly dizzy and the world around him started spinning before he finally blacked out. When he came back to his senses, the landscape around him was radically different. Instead of the cozy balcony he had been staying in mere moments ago, he found himself in a vast expanse of slightly mossy stone that went on as far as his eyes could see. Moreover, far in the distance he could almost distinguish gargantuan brown structures that extended high into the sky, which casually shared the same coloration. Such structures were too far for him to clearly see, yet they were oddly familiar. However, Noc couldn’t reflect for too long about these oddities as his focus was soon quite literally shattered by a world-shaking quake immediately followed by an eclipse which left him dazed and in the dark. Once he managed to stand back on his feet, what he saw left him speechless. There in the distance stood Revali, but as big as the mountains that surrounded the rito village. His feet alone could probably turn Hyrule castle into dust. It soon became apparent to Noc that Revali hadn’t grown to gargantuan proportions, but rather that he has shrunk to the size of a mere speck of dirt, even smaller than a bug.
To say that the sight was mind-blowing for the purple rito would be an understatement. Nevertheless, Noc quickly remembered his original mission. Casting aside any doubts and confusion about his current situation, he rushed towards Revali, hoping to catch his attention but also to be able to spend some time with the blue towering giant. Once he got closer, he started shaking his arms and jumping in the hopes that Revali would notice an odd purple speck in the floor. Luckily for Noc, that’s exactly what happened. Revali’s trained eyes quickly focused on a weird bug willing to disturb his rest. After closer examination, he noticed that it resembled a rito, much to his surprise. This is the exact moment when Noc’s plan utterly failed, as the champion deduced that the speck in front of him had to be a malicious entity with the sole objective of spying on the whole village.
-“In the name of this sacred village, I order you to identify yourself” asked Revali to an infatuated speck on the ground who was so fixated in his towering figure that it failed to heed his words. Rapidly loosing his patience, Revali asked once again:
-“Are you mayhaps looking for a challenge?” Revali snorted to himself at the mere notion of the purple speck daring to battle him in duel. –“Really? A puny speck is no match for a champion of my standing!” Revali proudly exclaimed.
Following this brief one-side exchange Revali decided to dispose of the spy, not wanting to endanger his village any further, after all, he was a champion destined to protect his people, no matter the strength, size or aspect of the enemy. As such, he slowly raised his right foot over the puny speck, savouring the moment as much as he could. From Noc’s perspective, everything around him darkened even further as he became engulfed in the shadow of Revali’s foot. The blush on his face became even brighter as the slightly dirty and sweaty sole loomed over him like a mountain of flesh ready to fall upon him at any moment. Thanks to his puny size he could see many details he otherwise wouldn’t be able to, such as the surprising amount of debris stuck on the sole or the remains of a few bugs who were unfortunate enough to cross paths with the rito champion. Noc knew that he would soon get as close as them to Revali’s foot.
