W: (Me and Sonic had arrived in Equestria to assist in the annual Winter Wrap Up) hey everypony, look who's back!
L: Sonic: "Long time no see, huh? We're here to help out!"
W: Twilight: William! Welcome back, and who is this handsome guy?
L: Sonic: "I'm Sonic the hedgehog! Will's told me a lot about this place, it's cool to be here!"
W: Twilight: well it's glad to meet you Sonic. You're just in time to help with Winter Wrap Up.
L: "Sounds good to me! What do you need me to do?"
W: Twilight:. How good are you at ice skating?
L: "I haven't done a whole lot of that, but I can handle myself pretty well."
W: Twilight: great, you can help Pinkie cut the ice on the frozen lakes
L: "Alright, I can do that. Shouldn't be too hard!"
W: Twilight: and William, you can help Fluttershy wake the animals from hibernation.
Me: you can trust me, Twilight Sparkle!
L: "Sounds good! How about we meet back here when we're done?"
W: Sure thing. Seeya!
L: Sonic gives you a wave, and speeds off to meet up with Pinkie.
W: (I meet up with Fluttershy, who was very stressed out, none of the animals had woken up and the bells were useless)
L: "W-what am I going to do...?" She keeps fruitlessly ringing the bells, hoping it'll eventually work, but it still doesn't do anything.
W: What's wrong?
L: "Oh, thank goodness you're here, William! I can't wake up the animals, I don't know why!"
W: Hmm, good thing I brought this. (Pulls out a whistle) This is no ordinary whistle, it's the loudest whistle available on the market in my world
L: "If that doesn't work, I don't know if anything will... Okay, go ahead!" Fluttershy covers her ears.
W: (I blow into the whistle as hard as I could, the sound was so loud it jolted all animals awake and shook the nearby mountain, sending a massive avalanche towards Sweet Apple Acres)
L: Fluttershy winces at how loud the sound is, before uncovering her ears again when she sees that the animals have woken up. "Finally... I was worried they weren't going to wake up at all."
W: (sees the now-naked mountain) oh shit
L: "What?" Fluttershy looks over at the mountain. "Uh oh..."
W: I need to go take care of something, I'll be right back. (Races off as fast as I can on all fours to Sweet Apple Acres)
L: Not really knowing what else to do, Fluttershy helps the animals calm down after having been startled by the sound of the whistle.
W: (I sped over to find Cirrus and a shrunken Applejack, the latter is annoyed but keeping her anger at bay very well)
L: Applejack: "Cirrus, please, just change me back..."
Cirrus: "I can't, I don't know why!"
W: Uhh, AJ?
L: Applejack sighs a bit. "What is it, Will? I'm kind of more concerned with how small I am right now..."
W: I'm sorry about the avalanche.
(Cirrus tries wrapping her and switching from 10% to 100% )
L: After Cirrus' usual mist clears, Applejack is at full size again.
Cirrus: "Oh... It wasn't working earlier for some reason."
Applejack: "Well, at least that's dealt with... It's alright, Will, I can clear all the snow out fine."
W: I wouldn't count on it, look. (The snowplow ponies were stuck)
L: Applejack: "...Then this is gonna take a while."
Cirrus: "Would there happen to be a plow big enough for me? I could probably get this done pretty quick."
W: Rainbow Dash: or alternatively, we can accelerate the melt, Twilight said the other teams have finished earlier than expected.
L: Applejack: "That might work better, since we don't exactly have any huge plows for Cirrus to use."
W: Just know, I will be holding you responsible if the accelerated melt has some unforeseen side effects. Understood?
L: Applejack: "I understand. Don't worry, I'll make sure it's done carefully."
Cirrus: "And if there does end up being an issue, I'll do what I can to help with it."
W: (the weather ponies did their thing, skyrocketing the temperature and removing all clouds)
L: All the snow begins to melt, and Cirrus and several ponies stand by to make sure they're ready if something goes wrong.
W: (what we didn't know was Ponyville dam was breaking up)
L: Soon, there begins to be a cracking sound from it, still audible even at this distance.
Cirrus: "Wait, what's that?"
W: Maybe you should ask Pinkie Pie, look. (Her whole body was shaking up and down very hard)
L: Applejack: "Whatever's happening, it can't be good if her Pinkie sense is going off..."
W: Wait a minute, that particular jitter is when there's a doozy coming.
L: Pinkie: "Th-this is g-gonna be a r-really bad one!"
Cirrus: "Alright, everyone get ready, we're gonna need to be quick in dealing with whatever this'll be!"
W: (the dam finally gives with a thunderous rumble)
L: Applejack: "H-hang on, was that the dam!?"
Cirrus: "Oh jeez, that's even worse than I thought it'd be!"
W: Cirrus, get us out of here; now!
L: Cirrus: "Everyone get onto me, quick!" He lays down on the ground, and Applejack and Pinkie hop onto him.
W: (I grab onto one of his horns)
L: With everyone on him, Cirrus quickly flies high enough into the air that the group is out of the way of the incoming flood.
W: (Fluttershy was trapped in her cottage which was filling with water. Rainbow Dash went to find me)
L: Rainbow Dash flies up alongside Cirrus. "Fluttershy's stuck in her cottage, it's flooding and I can't get her out!"
Applejack: "This just keeps getting worse!"
W: I'm going after her. (Jumps off Cirrus)
L: Cirrus: "Be careful down there! I'll keep rescuing everyone I can!"
W: (I dive into the water)
L: Cirrus flies fairly close to the water's surface, looking around for anyone that might not have gotten to higher ground in time.
W: (many ponies were floating in the water, seemingly unfazed by the sudden rise in water levels)
L: Seeing that no one seems to be struggling, Cirrus calms down, waiting for you to return.
W: (I shove a metal pipe into a crack on Fluttershy's cottage). FLUTTERSHY!
L: You can hear Fluttershy on the inside. "P-please help, there isn't much air left in here!"
W: (I try to push the pipe as a lever, but the cottage was too strong). Damn it! (I hold her hoof from an open window, the water just barely below her mouth). It's going to be okay, as long as I'm not panicking, you shouldn't be either.
L: Fluttershy looks out the window at you. "I-I can't help it, I'm going to have to hold my breath soon! T-try to find someone else to help me too!"
Suddenly, a large fish rams into you, pushing you away from the window!
W: GAH! what the!?
L: Fluttershy takes in what tiny bit of air she can and holds her breath, worriedly looking out at you.
The fish keeps trying to shove you away.
W: Huup! (Dives under to attack the fish)
L: It manages to dodge your first attack, before swimming back to you to try to bite you.
W: (I keep avoiding its attacks until I bait it into hitting the pipe, breaking the cottage open and freeing Fluttershy who has a purple blush)
L: Some debris from the cottage pins the fish down, as Fluttershy quickly swims out and goes straight up toward the surface, whining as she involuntarily loses bubbles.
W: (the flood had risen too high, she'd never make it in time)
L: Fluttershy: "MMM! WBL-WIBLL, HBLELP!" She tries her best to keep swimming up, and hopes that you'll be able to help her get to the surface in time.
W: (I help her up as her cheeks are turning blue)
L: Fluttershy covers her mouth with her hooves, desperately trying to keep holding her breath, but it still doesn't seem like she'll be able to last long enough.
W: (we resurface, just in the nick of time)
L: Fluttershy gasps as soon as she surfaces, coughing some as she'd gotten a little bit of water from that. "T-too close... Th-thank you, Will..."
Cirrus quickly comes over. "You two okay?"
W: I am, but she might not be for a little bit. But you see, I told you with me around there was no need to panic and here you are, alive albeit a little shaken
L: Fluttershy: "I-I guess you're right..." Cirrus lowers himself down to her, and she climbs on his back.
W: (I dive back under to go find Sonic)
L: Fluttershy does her best to try to calm down, with Applejack and Pinkie helping her.
W: Sonic? You down here?
L: Sonic: "Mm, MMM!" He's rushing along the bottom toward you, just as incapable of swimming as always.
W: Silly hedgehog, don't you remember I gave you that ability to breathe water as if it were air?
L: His fear immediately fades as he's reminded of that, and he smiles in both relief and embarrassment as he takes a breath. "Yeah, forgot about that... You can't blame me, I'm still not exactly a fan of water."
W: No I certainly can't. put your arms around my neck, let's get out of here.
L: "Right, yeah." Sonic holds onto you, ready to be brought up to the surface.
W: (I swim up to the surface to find the Mane 6 chatting as if it was normal)
L: Sonic: "Heh, you all seem pretty casual about all this!"
Applejack: "Well, there ain't exactly much else we can do right now, is there?"
W: I swear it's like you guys are used to it.
L: Fluttershy sighs. "We are. This happens more than it really should..."
W: Wait, it's true?! I was just kidding! (Gets extremely flustered)
L: Applejack: "Don't worry about it, it's starting to just become normal. But I do wish there was a way to actually keep it from happening."
Cirrus: "This is NOT something you should be used to! We need to figure out why this keeps happening!"
W: Aye yae yae.
L: Twilight: "Believe me, we've looked all over, but we can't find any explanation for why everything keeps flooding every now and then."
Cirrus: "Hm... Well, it clearly wasn't always like this, so maybe the first time it happened might have had some kind of clue? Was it any different?"
W: I doubt they'd remember, but you never know.
L: Applejack: "Yeah, if there was anything different, I don't remember it."
Pinkie: "I remember it being fun the first time, but it got old pretty quick."
W: sounds like the floods need some pizzazz, y'know?
L: Pinkie: "Ooh, you're right! Okay, I'll plan out how to make these fun for everypony!"
Applejack: "That would at least be a pretty nice improvement."
Cirrus: "Well, you ponies seem like you're gonna be fine... If it's alright, I'll let you off while I bring Will and Sonic to see if anyone else needs help."
Fluttershy: "That's okay with me, I can swim just fine."
W: fine by me. (hauls Sonic then myself up on Cirrus) bye for now girls
L: The ponies hop off Cirrus.
Fluttershy: "Please be careful!"
Applejack: "Good luck out there."
Cirrus: "Same with all of you." He starts flying off.
W: Ts: well, theyre gone. now what do we do?
L: Applejack: "Maybe we ought to find our way to somewhere dry, before we end up getting tired from swimming."
W: (then a whirlpool near them starts to form)
L: Rainbow Dash: "Too late, something's happening!"
Applejack: "Oh, this is really bad!"
W: Twilight: great, here we go again.
L: Pinkie: "Ah, we'll be fine, just like last time! I'm sure this'll end up being fun!"
W: (they get sucked in and thrown DEEP underwater)
L: Everyone holds their breath while trying to swim back up, but they're so far down they won't have a chance unless someone helps them.
W: (Twilight was dazed and kept her eyes shut to keep nausea from lapsing and only opened them after she heard gurgling from Spike who was nearby)
L: Spike is already struggling, having not managed to get a good breath before being pulled underwater. He has his mouth covered as he struggles to swim up, constantly losing bubbles.
W: (the 6 get a sense of deja-vu and collectively recreated their inital drowning exactly, right down to the tiniest detail)
L: Just like back then, Twilight already begins to pass out, letting out bubbles as her vision begins to fade a bit.
W: (her last conscious thought is "maybe we should drown together like this more often")
L: This time, with no sea ponies to give them air, they all drown together, beginning to sink back toward the bottom.
W: (they eventually land on the ground)
L: Spike soon follows, having managed to hang on a little longer, but nowhere near long enough to surface.
W: (a portal opens under them and they end up in my swimming pool)
L: Everyone quickly lands on the bottom of the pool, still unconscious, though now at least not as far away from air.
W: (Judy jumps in and started rescuing the ponies starting with Twilight)
L: A bit of water pours from Twilight's mouth once she's brought to the surface, her body limp in Judy's hold.
W: Judy: CLEAR! (shocks Twilight with her defibrillator)
L: With that, Twilight spits up water and gasps as she comes back to awareness, starting to recover.
W: Judy: welcome back.
L: After some coughing and gasping, Twilight has recovered enough to talk. "A-are the others okay?"
W: Judy: They will be soon. (Jumps back into the pool to rescue Rainbow Dash)
L: Rainbow Dash is in the same spot she'd been when she first ended up in the pool, motionless.
W: (she brings her up and out)
L: She's just as unconscious as Twilight was.
Twilight: "Judy, is there any way I can help you with this?"
W: Judy: relax, i got this. CLEAR!
L: Rainbow Dash immediately wakes up like Twilight had, coughing up water and gasping.
W: (Judy jumped right back in to retrieve Rarity and Spike)
L: Twilight helps Rainbow recover while she waits for Judy to return.
W: (Judy gasps for air as she brings the 2 to the surface). I've been meaning to ask, how did you know my name?
L: Twilight: "Will told me about you a while ago, he said you've helped him out in the past."
W: Judy: I did. (Squeezes Spike to wake him up, his coughing is by far the most violent)
L: Spike spits out water, before hoarsely gasping and hacking as he tries to get the rest of it out. It almost looks like he's choking, but he's still barely getting enough air to be okay.
W: Judy: gosh, you sound worse than I did when I choked on a carrot
L: Twilight pats Spike's back to try to help him get the water out. "Hang in there, Spike, just get it all out..."
W: Judy: ( lets Twilight handle Spike) CLEAR! (shocks Rarity. Her first gasp was by far the heaviest)
L: Before even coughing up water, Rarity immediately lets out a HUGE gasp, arching her back as she completely fills her lungs, before then starting to actually cough out water.
W: Judy: holy shoot
L: Twilight had jumped a bit at how sudden that was. "W-well, um... Good that you're okay too!"
Spike's coughing is finally beginning to come to a stop, his breathing steadying.
W: Judy: I did not see that coming. Oh well. Back I go. (Jumps back into the pool to rescue Pinkie Pie)
Spike: ohh, where; are we?
L: Twilight looks around, not actually 100% sure herself. "Um... I think we're at Will's place. I don't really know how we got here."
W: Judy: specifically his special swimming pool. Normally the water has a special technology that sustains those who drown in it, but that has been temporarily deactivated for scheduled maintenance. You were brought in through one of his portals so I could train to use my defibrillator
L: Twilight: "Well, we're all glad your training's going well. I'm not even clear on how we ended up so far underwater in the first place, that whirlpool came completely out of nowhere..."
W: Excellent work Judy, keep rescuing those ponies.
L: Twilight: "I'm really glad everypony's gonna be okay..."
W: Judy: CLEAR! (shocks Pinkie, who recovers the fastest)
L: With just a few coughs and gasps, Pinkie already looks right as rain. "Well, that hurt a bit, but it was fun!"
Twilight: "Judy, how come you're yelling "clear" every time?"
W: Judy: i dont actually know, Tails might know.
L: Twilight: "I guess I'll have to ask him at some point."
W: (i brought Fluttershy out, who has a small peaceful smile on her blued face)
L: Twilight: "Looks like she might not have had too bad of a time..."
W: Reminds me of a certain friend I know. (Judy surfaces with Applejack)
L: Twilight: "I can just imagine... Some people and ponies really like this sort of thing."
W: Judy: CLEAR!
L: Applejack starts coughing and gasping like everyone else has, rolling onto her side to help get the water out of her.
W: I got this girl. (does a vigorous mouth-to-mouth for Fluttershy)
L: Fluttershy soon starts waking up, letting out only little and soft coughs as she catches her breath.
W: You looked quite peaceful in that drowned state. If it weren't for the fact that your face was blue, it would have looked like you were having a nice nap
L: Fluttershy: "I-it did feel kind of nice while I was passing out... B-but I don't think I'd willingly do something like that."
W: I didn't think so either. What do you remember, Twi?
L: Twilight: "We were pulled down by a whirlpool that came out of nowhere. I didn't really think to look around while I was down there, but I have no idea what could've caused it..."
W: Unrelated question, but when you were in the water, after that whirlpool sucked you in, did you feel a sense of Deja Vu?
L: Twilight: "A little bit, actually... It felt like when we went to find the sea ponies a long time ago. I think we all even drowned in just about the same way."
W: Interestingly enough, there is actually a scene from a movie about you that had that very same thing happen. Look (shows the scene on the screen in the front of the pool room)
L: Twilight: "Woah... That's exactly how it went! That's weird, I wonder how we just happened to have it go that way..."
W: Judy: The mind of sentient animals is extremely complicated.
L: Twilight: "Well, regardless, I'm really glad everypony's okay. I don't think it's ever been all of us fully drowning at once."
W: You can all stay here for the night, I have a feeling your world is currently unsafe.
L: Rarity: "It certainly wouldn't be good to be there when it's flooded that much..."
Fluttershy: "Oh, I hope all the animals are going to be okay, I always worry about them during floods..."
W: I'm sure Celestia will pull some magic strings to get them back to life if they do drown. In the meantime, why don't I show you to the guest rooms you'll be staying in?
L: Twilight: "Sure. It'll be interesting to stay at your place for a while!"
