One of the things the Fey have that Demons and Angels don't, is music. A special type of music that can do many wonders things. In the hands of any Fey creature, a simple flute might as well be a magic wand. One common effect that they like to do is infuse a sweet curiosity into the noise and have it draw in the one they currently interested in. This is why most stumble on Fey as they are making music, singing, or dancing.
The Fey, needing more charisma and wisdom than most, understand that simply approaching someone can easily scare them off. Especially since the Fey walk between shadows and can appear from nowhere. No, it's much smarter to let them come forward first. All the while stripping that first outer layer of suspicion from their mind. Once they are relaxed, and have accepted that the creature in front of them is no danger they will happy sit and talk. Even if they should know better.
Collin does the same here. He's been curious about Angels for years. And especially Cherubs. Their soft, sheeply, features are quite appealing to him and the way they are always busily flitting around reminds him of cute bumble bees. Unfortunately , Angels know to never step on the ground or linger in the woods. Except for one. Keenie is young, and in her desire to rush to the next task, has been forgetting to take the longer routes above the trees. Collin in fact noticed that she seemed to still enjoy the smell of the flowers and the cool shade of his woods. Other Angels are too... Old, too jaded, too bored with it all to take in those little details.
With his interest growing by the day he decides to sit down casually in a spot he knows Keenie often passes, and simply practise his music until she comes along. It will only take a moment of listening to his sweet sounds for her to forget her tasks and want to stay to hear more. Even though she knows she shouldn't.
Interesting concept. I know this is an AU and your universe creation based on another - but for years, decades,, at least in my life, angels, small ones - BTW, are depicted floating around playing the Lyre. It is interesting to take it to a whole other venue where they can not do this.
