I've always really liked the idea of the Fey in the Helluva setting. What I like to design them as is being corrupted beings of Eden, those left behind when humanity was kicked out. At first everything was awesome, having an earthly paradise with none of the rules Heaven holds. However, with God no longer tending to it, it soon fell into corruption. Sin ran wild, hedonism became law.
The Fey realm is an unseen pocket dimension that overlaps Earth because Eden was originally removed from it by putting it on a different 'layer' of reality. After the Fey learned how to escape it, they turned that layer into their own Domain. It's not the tortuous prison of Hell, or the stuffy retirement home of Heaven. It's a frat house. Full of chaos, pranks, and every flavour of mind altering substance. Also a lot of music, art, and philosophy.
In this AU, Keenie is a much younger and new to the job girl. The time period is also set during the ancient days of humanity when magic and folklore is still going strong. During this period of time the Fey was very active, and quite chaotic. Collin is a bit older than Keenie but has lived a much less sheltered life so is more mature.
