I was commisioned to do a revamp of a friends character, they were heavily inspired by lord raptor from darkstalkers (a lot of digimon have overt refrences to other media like that one bayonetta digimon or kamen rider ones haha) so this was a fun project.
it was originally supposed to be in b/w only but i did it in color since a very loud character like this works best in full color. a lot of the poses are directly inspired by different depictions of lord raptor, i dig it a lot, very iron maiden-ey which im sure is not accidental, and freakin huge feet on him.
it was very fun adapting a lot of those really dynmaic poses to an unconventional bodytype, it made me cognizant of some places i still need to improve, mostly in my dynamic poses, i adore how energetic these were, i just have a hard time envisioning stuff like this since i have a very technical mind? either way food for thought :b
