I decided I can't market my original project to anyone except little girls so I gutted Imee of anything resembling a personality and made her into a wish fulfillment objectified pretty princess because there's no way an adult demographic would enjoy modern fantasy or the story of someone growing up for the first time since they have never had those sorts of experiences before.
Personally I feel Imee could appeal to a post-tween audience. It's just a case of finding the right project and scenario to place her into.
What were your big plans for her going to be? From what I can think of (at 4:24am...), she would make a great character in a action RPG game (using her own body instead of weapons or tools).

You aren't too far off, she was originally conceived for a puzzle-platformer using her body as everything and malleability/abilities to navigate. As an animated series, her world is quite different and full of life. My other half
It sure does seem like Faust got let go because she didn't kowtow to Hasbro's bullshit and wanted to make something special and McCarthy got promoted for not having an issue with asskissing... >.>
IMHO, it was less about who was right for the job as lead writer/creative director in Season 3 overall than who they thought would be easier to push around to stupid marketing decisions.

Hey, it teaches the important value that we can all be princesses if we have crowns 'n wings; and that's what we have to do to be liked by the audience at large. Oh, and that's the number one goal of everything; selling yourself.
(I like your painting!)

As a puzzle game using a liquid body, there is one just been released on Nintendo 3DS online shop, Hydrology? or some such that looks to have things very similar to Little Big Planet, and other enviroments made out of moving graphical segments.
An older version thats not fully fluid, that I can remember, was the game that was origionally released as Silly Putty, there was an argument over the childrends material toy of the same name, so the game was renamed Putty Squad. No liquid, just highly deformable.

Oh, it's not an original idea by any means. What would make it unique would be the characters, the story, the world. Of course as someone who's just starting out with GameMaker and Unity, I would be more than open to following in the footsteps of giants before me!
The only thing a new developer can hope to do well the first time is not be terrible for the alpha stages :)
