I'm breaking the 4th wall here folks, because there is no way Abbot Parryi brought that thing from Redwall Abbey. Of course, Brother Angus doesn't know that, and it'll be a few centuries before modern archeologists trace the stone's origin. It turns out that it DID come from the same quarry that was used to build Redwall Abbey, but was cut many centuries later. By the time Gwendolyn was a child, material from the famous quarry in the Redwall books was being used to build structures all over Mossflower. This stone was probably already in Southsward when King Foldore and his people were driven out. It would have been one of many things they brought with them to start 'New Mossflower'.
Now to Dynti. Thousands upon thousands of Eurasian Harvest Mice have claimed to be descendants of various Redwall saints, abbots, abbesses, and warriors. Given her species, her ancestors very likely came to Cascadia with King Foldore. But there is a 99.99% chance that she is NOT related to Saint Germaine. Sorry Dynti.

Chucky is to smart to buy this story, he seems a bit disapointed, cant say I blame him he was very enchanted by the idea of the abby a few moments before only to learn how easy history can be distorted.

the range of expressions in the last panel is also really great you allways ALLWAYS manage to say as much with your FACES as you do with the charicters words and I cannot express how much I adore that!

Notice that even with her mom yanking her away, she's still giving him the 'I wanna touch the bunny!' stare?

as a relic, a stone from redwall abbey is practically of no importance... human religions has used fetishism (relics are a form of fetishism) way more effectively, but they are also far from europe.

I get the feeling that stone is like The Blarney Stone in Ireland (which you should NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER KISS NO MATTER WHAT) in that is has historic value for all the mice there. Curious if it DOES have some magic in it that will manifest later at a most inopportune time.
Aside from that the interaction between Kevin and Macy is wonderful and I can't wait to see what those to get into!
