It's not that I don't like it, RPG Mechanics can be really weird and as someone who plays a lot of RPG games I like pointing out the weird logic because it's fun to call out the weird logic.

You can make a meal that looks perfectly delicious and tastes good but only if it's poisoned, that's an idea you can only get from an RPG Mechanic. The idea flavor can be changed depending on the poison used makes sense in a way as in some cases cooking spice were used as a poison in the past, hell tomatoes are part of the nightshade family!

But how does not adding poison change anything about look of the meal? It's this kind of weird logic that makes these kinds of mechanics so fun and also so weird.

Wait, there's a turn order? I remember the loot stuff but I must have missed a few panels because I didn't know there was a turn order. Either way, I'm not complaining, I play a lot of RPG games and I love poking fun at the weird logic.

Unfortunately, sarcasm and joking tones do not come across in writing as there is no voice and this site doesn't have Emojis for the comments so my comment seems to have been interpreted meaner than I meant for it to come across.

All such mechanics are broken in some manner or another across the board because there is no one standard to the mechanics.

This is why you can't just teleport directly behind the door.
