Lapis Through The Wringer
An Enchanting Experience With Chat
+2
Lapis wanted to check out the new billboard in town,
but she got a much closer view than she was expecting.

Lapis walked into the town and saw that a billboard was being put up on one of the buildings near her house. Curious to see what it was for, Lapis approached the building it was being set up on. Unfortunately, a crowd of people blocked her view so Lapis had to get closer to see it.

Lapis crawled underneath the safety tape marking the area beneath the billboard. The view wasn't much better from where she was standing, but the board became a lot clearer the moment if started to fall towards her. Lapis barely had a chance to react before she was crushed underneath the darn thing.

The crowd of people worried as they thought they saw someone get squashed beneath the billboard, but were relieved to see no hint of a person smeared on the sidewalk. At the same time, no one in the crowd noticed the new figure attached to the billboard. The workers setting up the thing were the only people who noticed the new addition.

In fear of getting sued, the workers just pretended that Lapis was supposed to be in the scene being depicted. Ironically, the billboard was advertising the service of an insurance lawyer. The billboard originally showed a car swerving into another car, but Lapis now looked like she was a surprised by-stander watching the whole thing.

The crew finished putting up the billboard before heading home. The crowd quickly disappeared after that. Pretty soon, it was just Lapis alone out there. The girl remained motionless and silent, too flat to do anything but hope someone noticed her.

Lapis was a very popular addition to the billboard and the law-firm got many calls complimenting them on their sense of humor. Lapis' goofy expression was earnest, yet silly. It also helped Lapis was a known star.

It was a sad day for the town when Lapis eventually pealed off the billboard and floated to the street below. Lapis' shocked face stared up at the group standing around her, upset their favorite piece of the ad fell out of her scene. Lapis was picked up off the ground and waited for someone to help restore her to her 3D form.

Instead, Lapis was truly shocked to hear the group make a plan to put her back up there... with more than a few people bringing out the glue!
