So, as you might expect, after Leshy's fall in Darkwood, Diana had to make her way into the mushroom forests of Anura, trading trees of bark and green for giants of spores, reds and golds. Oh, and still feeding off the victims of the cult loyal to Heket, forcefully fused to their stalks to be consumed alive.
Sure, Darkwood had berries galore, the birds and squirrels offering at least some meat. But it wasn't enough to hold back starvation. Diana knew that Heket somehow had means to keep her loyal minions from ever going hungry, and for a while, the Lamb thought it was due to the large and bountiful pumpkins that took advantage of the mushrooms providing soil.
But it turns out it was due to the Yellow Crown, which much like the Red Crown, commanded one of the dire forces in the world. How poetic is it that the Bishop who never had a single nice thing to say, who would only relentlessly spew hate, anger and threats, controlled Famine? Of course with Heket's death, the Yellow Crown found a better mistress to serve; one who would give a kind word now and then at that and NOT blame the Crown for her short comings! But every rose has its thorns...
