The one thing Lapis wants more than anything else, is to become famous on the internet.
Lapis loves attention and will do anything to get it. This girl has no shame and nothing is off-limits.
Lapis Winters is best described as an out-going, over-bearing, and socially oblivious girl. For as long as Lapis can remember, she has always been obsessed with attention. She will do whatever it takes to make people pay attention to her, even if it means doing things that people find annoying.
Lapis started her own online streaming account when she was eleven years old as a way to maximize the attention she could get. Lapis was inspired by other online streamers she watched on her phone and admired the confidence and charisma they displayed to their audience. Lapis wanted to amass her own audience she could impress with her own charisma and confidence, but she needed to think of a way to stand out from everyone else.
Lapis had always tried to make herself stand-out visually just as much as she did socially. Her hair had been shaved on the sides of her head and the hair on top had been dyed white. Her clothes were all bright and colourful, and combined a wide range of styles. Unfortunately, Lapis' feet were incredibly large for a girl her age, making it extremely difficult to buy shoes that fit properly. Lapis had decided to drop shoes entirely and just go barefoot all the time since it is much more comfortable for her feet. Occasionally Lapis will put on sandals if she needs to go outside, but her feet are so long that the tips of her toes always hang over the front of her shoes.
Lapis has always stood out from her classmates but she didn't have many friends. She wasn't disliked by her peers, but Lapis' over-bearing personality and tendency to make everything about herself made it hard for other kids to tolerate being around her. Lapis would spend most of her childhood without any close friends until a new kid moved into town and started attending Lapis' school. This new boy's name was Miles, and he would become Lapis' very best friend and very first crush.
Miles had a very neutral energy and a very laid-back personality. He was quiet, patient, kind, and liked video games. Miles was the very first person that didn't seem to mind when Lapis would ramble about herself and the various things she's accomplished. Miles was more than willing to listen to Lapis and even acknowledge the most minor accomplishments Lapis would present him with. This seemingly limitless supply of positive attention is what caused Lapis to develop a strong crush on this boy.
Miles wound up being a reoccurring guest on Lapis' streams and would often be the subject of "spectacle" that Lapis often liked to feature.
In her pursuit to find a quirk that would help her stand-out among other online streamers, Lapis wound up focusing on tickling. Lapis personally had no interest in the subject, but discovered that the number of views her streams got dramatically increased when tickling was featured. Lapis then took inspiration from other streamers who used tickling to help create her own identity.
Lapis never subjected herself to any tickling since she was very sensitive and didn't enjoy the experience. Instead, Lapis "volunteered" other people to be tied up and tickled while Lapis would stand at a safe distance (still in view of the camera) and commentate over what was happening. Most people she subjected to being tickled on-stream (such as Miles) were often unwilling and needed to be tricked or forced into the situation so Lapis could get her content out of them. Despite how devious this sounds, Lapis genuinely never considered any of this to be wrong and no one could convince her otherwise.
So long as it was for the "spectacle" and it got Lapis lots of attention, nothing was off-limits (unless Lapis had to be tickled, then that was too far).

Lapis does eventually grow as a person. Her desire to become famous never fades and her love of attention only really becomes stronger, but she does change in a few ways. Some changes are for the better and others are less positive, but the relationships she has with the people around her do become stronger as a result.
Miles and Lapis wind up living together when they both turn nineteen.
Years of deception and abuse left Miles and Lapis' relationship in a very weird place. Miles would always get tired being tied up, tickled, gagged, and abandoned, to the point he would try to avoid Lapis and refuse her requests to be subjected to that stuff again. Of course, Lapis' undying affection towards the boy meant she would never give up on pestering him until Miles eventually agreed to Lapis' requests once again.
Miles always beat himself up for being unable to stand-up for himself. He hated how easy it was for Lapis for pull him back into her madness every time he tried getting away. Miles often wondered how Lapis was so effective at manipulating him like this and wondered about it for years until the answer finally presented itself.
At some point during Miles' teen years, he came to the realization that he actually enjoyed being tied up and tickled. He didn't enjoy the more intense games Lapis put him through, but he did realize that he was being drawn in again and again because he liked the more casual stuff. He also realized, to his shock and surprise, that he actually really liked Lapis.
Miles decided to start embracing Lapis' antics at that point and attempted to guide his friend in a more tame and relaxed direction. Lapis was ecstatic at the gradual change in Miles' attitude and became much more receptive to his suggestions. Under Miles' guidance, Lapis developed a new form of tickling that was much more casual in its execution and very teasing due to Lapis' insistence on talking non-stop throughout. This unique brand of tickling wound up appealing to a much broader audience and actually worked to increase Lapis' fame. It also made it much easier to find guests who were actually willing to appear on Lapis' streams.
Miles became a much bigger part of Lapis' streams and even wound up taking on jobs behind the scenes to help with the more technical issues Lapis couldn't figure out. Through a lot of built-up trust and a lot of convincing, Miles even got Lapis to agree to let herself be tickled from time to time (so long as it was very light and done by Miles). Lapis' audience started doubling in numbers by the month!
Lapis was still very socially oblivious, even at age nineteen. She was still obnoxious, selfish, needy, bratty and often lacked empathy, but she was also very kind to the people she cared about. Eventually, Lapis did wind up making a whole lot of friends.
