You find a new Stream on the Internet, and decide to take a look at it. You see the Stream is called Loving Lapis, and you wonder what it is about.
A few years ago, Vera worked as a special agent for a secret branch of the government where she was tasked to take care of the problems considered too dangerous for normal people to handle. Her missions were always hidden from the public and Vera never received any praise for her work, but she was never interested in the glory. Vera's sense of honor was all she needed to do her work with the highest level of efficiency.
One day, while out on a mission, Vera's life was saved by a civilian woman that happened to be in the area. This civilian helped Vera complete her mission and made sure Vera returned home safely. After that day, Vera swore an oath to pay back her life-debt to this civilian woman by protecting her daughter and act as the girl's life-long guardian. Vera immediately left the organization to go fulfill her roles as protector and guardian of the girl named Lapis.
Lapis has always dreamed of becoming famous on the internet. She's always adored getting attention from others and will usually go to extremes in order to impress the people around her. Lapis started her live-stream show in order to gather as much of an audience as possible and achieve her dream of becoming a popular online celebrity.
Vera has grown quite attached to Lapis' energetic and charismatic personality. The ex-agent wound up forming an older-sister-type bond with the girl and is willing to go to great lengths to protect her from all sorts of things kids face these days. Bullies, boy-troubles, and internet trolls are all the things Vera wants to make sure Lapis never has to deal with. Lapis really likes having Vera around and considers her a good friend, but she has no idea just how dedicated Vera is to protecting her.
